  • In this paper we construct orthogonal two-direction scaling function of order 3 and corresponding wavelet function. In this paper we propose a different approach using orthogonal symmetric/antisymmetric multiwavelets of order 3. An example for constructing orthogonal two-direction scaling function of order 3 and corresponding wavelet function is given.

  • The main aim of this paper is to introduce the definition of 𝜑-proximate order of a meromorphic function on the complex plane. By considering the concept of 𝜑-proximate order, we will extend some previous results of Lahiri [11]. Furthermore, as an application of 𝜑-proximate order, a result concerning the growth of composite entire and meromorphic function will be given.

  • A new configuration to realize the most general n-th order voltage transfer function is proposed. It employs only one operational transresistance amplifier (OTRA) as the active element. In the synthesis of the transfer function, the RC:-RC decomposition technique is used. To the best of author's knowledge, this is the first topology to be used in the realization of n-th order transfer function employing single OTRA.

  • We obtain the approximation order to a smooth function on a compact subset of $\mathbb{R}$ by generalized translation networks. In our study, the activation function is infinitely many times continuously differentiable function but it does not have special properties around ${\infty}$ and $-{\infty}$ like a sigmoidal activation function. Using the Jackson's Theorem, we get the approximation order. Especially, we obtain the approximation order by a neural network with a fixed threshold.

  • We study the neural network approximation to a function in $C^1$[0, 1] and its derivative. In [3], we used even trigonometric polynomials in order to get an approximation order to a function in $L_p$ space. In this paper, we show the simultaneous approximation order to a function in $C^1$[0, 1] using a Bernstein polynomial and a feedforward neural network. Our proofs are constructive.

  • In this paper, we extend some results related to the growth rates of entire functions by introducing the relative logarithmic order g(f) of a nonconstant entire function f with respect to another nonconstant entire function g. Next we investigate some theorems related the behavior of g(f). We also define the relative logarithmic proximate order of f with respect to g and give some theorems on it.

  • This paper presents theoretical formulations and numerical computations for predicting first-and second-order hydrodynamic force on a ship advvancing in waves. The theoretical formulation leads to linearized radiation and diffration problems solving the three-dimensional Green function integral equations over the mean wetted body surface. Green function representing a translating and pulsating source potantial for infinite water depth is used. In order to solve integral equations for three dimentional flows using Green function efficiently, the Hoff's method is adopted for numerical calculation of the Green function. Based on the first-order solution, the mean seconder-order forces and moments are obtained by directly integrating second-order pressure over the mean wetted body surface. The calculated items are carried out for analyzing the seakeeping characteristics of Series 60. The calculated items are hydrodynamic coefficients, wave exciting forces, frequency response functions and addd resistance in waves.
