  • We introduce the fuzzy semiregularization space induced by a fuzzy topological space and investigate some properties of fuzzy semiregularization spaces. We give an example of a fuzzy semiregularization space that is not a fuzzy semiregular space.

  • In this paper, we present some new properties for p-biharmonic hypersurfaces in a Riemannian manifold. We also characterize the p-biharmonic submanifolds in an Einstein space. We construct a new example of proper p-biharmonic hypersurfaces. We present some open problems.

  • A topological space (X,.tau.) is called invertible [7] if for each proper open set U in (X,.tau.) there exists a homoemorphsim h:(X,.tau.).rarw.(X,.tau.) such that h(X-U).contnd.U. Doyle and Hocking [7] and Levine [13], as well as others have investigated properties of invertible spaces. Recently, Crosseley and Hildebrand [5] have introduced the concept of semi-invertibility, which is weaker than that of invertibility, by replacing "homemorphism" in the definition of invertibility with "semihomemorphism", A space (X,.tau.) is said to be semi-invertible if for each proper semi-open set U in (X,.tau.) there exists a semihomemorphism h:(X,.tau.).rarw.(X,.tau.) such that h(X-U).contnd.U. The purpose of the present article is to introduce the class of almost-invertible spaces containing the class of semi-invertible spaces and to investigate its properties. One of the primary concerns will be to determine when a given local property in an almost-invertible space is also a global property. We point out that many of the results obtained can be applied in the cases of semi-invertible spaces and invertible spaces. For example, it is shown that if an invertible space (X,.tau.) has a nonempty open subset U which is, as a subspace, H-closed (resp. lightly compact, pseudocompact, S-closed, Urysohn, Urysohn-closed, extremally disconnected), then so is (X,.tau.).hen so is (X,.tau.).

  • In Seowon architecture, there are four kinds of space conditions according to the site plan and the figure of education area. The education area has three main buildings such as Kangdang, Dongjae, Seojae. In case Kangdan locates in front of Dongjae and Seojae(so called Junkangdang-Hoojaesa), but in another case Dongjae and Seojae locates in front of Kangdang(so called Junjaesa-Hookangdang). This four space conditions affect to decide the floor plan and the window & door system of Kangdang. In Junjaesa-Hookangdang type, the front and rear wall has more open system than in Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type. In Junjaesa-Hookangdang type the direction of Kangdang is absolutely open to front education area, but in Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type the direction of Kangdang is absolutely open to rear education area. These floor plan aims at making up education area more closely. In window & door system the rear parts of Junjaesa-Hookangdang type have generally opaque system such as Golpanmoon or Panjangmoon, but Junkangdang-Hoojaesa type breaks this rule in order to emphasize front facade of building.

  • This study is about the pattern of spatial structures of major university campuses in Korea. The pattern is composed of buildings, circulation, and open space within the campus. It is physical structural system which makes campus more educational environment as well as new academic landscape. The pattern is checked on the basis of existing sub-patterns of eleven universities with base data by using computer program, Autocad and Landcadd. The result is that most of campus spatial structures consists of simple and unified grid pattern. Basic educational facilities are at the center of the whole structure as well. Some universities are located in suburb and have large site which makes it more open space oriented pattern, more various exterior space and more specific circulation system. So the campus patterns of recently built is more diverse and has more design components. In most cases, campus does not have strong spatial coherence among its buildings, circulation, and open space. It is important to develop Korean formal campus spatial structure which is intrinsic to its site and is proper to its academic plan. Campus spatial structure should be formulated to embrace diverse demands of university and to accumulate unique university landscape.

  • This study aims to theoretically examine the educational and living elements that are needed for social education in the school system and suggest an approach to apply this result to the environmental aspects of the space in schools. To do this, characteristics of space in exemplary middle school oversee were analyzed. Also, the characteristics and status of the school space environment that foster socialization were examined. In order to increase students' social skills, the following community space should be considered. 1) teaching and learning spaces facilitating a variety of teaching methods, such as lecture, discussion, seminar classes, 2) open-spaces for communication among students, such as home base, hall, library, museum, and restaurant, 3) open-spaces for STEM education, 4) transparent windows located in the boundary wall between classrooms and hallways, 5) a large performance stage for presentation of student activities and experiences, 6) smart-learning spaces for fluent ICT system in classes and in public spaces, 7) restaurants and libraries located in the middle space of the school, and 8) ecological environments for student learning.

  • Nowadays the parks in Shanghai tend to develop towards two directions. Small and medimn parks are being gradually transformed from closed management to open management, while large ones emphasize their nature of theme and nature of functions. Simultaneously, the number of large and open public green spaces has been significantly increased. Although the public green space does not adopt the management pattern for parks, there is almost no difference between public green space and ordinary parks so far as the functions and scales are concerned. Due to the fact that there is no obvious boundary between a public park and a public green space, this paper raises a suggestion to coordinate continuously their management and functions so that the distribution of and the connection between the urban green spaces can be more rational and more definite and a sound green network can be formed. Starting from the viewpoint of emphasizing accessibility to green spaces and enhancing the angle of linking green spaces, we aim at transforming a park system to a multifunctional green system, extending the effects and service radius of large green spaces, and strengthening the internal connections with the surrounding areas so that a high-quality green space can be formed with the connection of the green space network.

  • In this paper, we attempt to study several topological properties for the function space H(X), space of self-homeomorphisms on a metric space endowed with the regular topology. We investigate its metrizability and countability and prove their coincidence at X compact. Furthermore, we prove that the space H(X) endowed with the regular topology is a topological group when X is a metric, almost P-space. Moreover, we prove that the homeomorphism spaces of increasing and decreasing functions on ℝ under regular topology are open subspaces of H(ℝ) and are homeomorphic.
