  • Let M be a generalized homogeneous compact space, and let Z(M) denotes the space of homeomorphisms of M with the $C^0$ topology. In this paper, we show that if the interior of the set of weak stable homeomorphisms on M is not empty then for any open subset W of Z(M) containing only weak stable homeomorphisms the orbital shadowing property is generic in W.

  • This work deals with fast-to-compute global control laws for time-optimal motion of strongly nonlinear dynamic systems like resolute robots. the theory of cell-to-cell mappings for dynamical systems offer the possibility of doing the vast majority of the control law computation offline in case of time optimization with constrained inputs. These cells result from a coarse discretization of likely swaths of state space into a set of nonuniform, contiguous volumes of relatively simple shapes. Once the cells have been designed, the bang-bang schedules for the inputs are determined for all likely starting cells and terminating cells. the resulting control law is an open-loop optimal control law with feedback monitoring and correction.

  • This paper reviews the issues in implementing sound recognizers in real environments. First is the signal corruption caused by background noises and reverberation. Second is the open-set problem which is the problem of rejecting out-of-vocabulary words and noises. These two issues must be solved for noise robust recognizers.

  • In this paper, we consider split quaternionic functions defined on an open set of split quaternions and give the split quaternionic functions whose each inverse function is sp-hyperholomorphic almost everywhere on ${\Omega}$. Also, we describe the definitions and notions of pseudoholomorphic functions for split quaternions.

  • An analytic self-map ${\phi}$ of the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ in the complex plane and an analytic map ${\psi}$ on $\mathbb{D}$ induce the so-called weighted composition operator $C_{{\phi},{\psi}}$: $H(\mathbb{D})\;{\rightarrow}\;H(\mathbb{D})$, $f{\mapsto} \;{\psi}\;(f\;o\;{\phi})$, where H($\mathbb{D}$) denotes the set of all analytic functions on $\mathbb{D}$. We study when such an operator acting between different weighted Bergman spaces is bounded, compact and Schatten class.

  • The notions of IVF strongly semiopen (semiclosed) sets and IVF (strong) semi-interior (IVF (strong) semi-closure) are introduced, and several examples are provided. Related properties are investigated. In particular, characterizations of an IVF strongly semiopen set are discussed.

We denote by $F_1^\infty$ the space consisting of all infinite sequence $(F_1, F_2, \cdots), F_n \in F and R_1^\infty$ the space consisting of all infinite sequences $(x_1, x_2, \cdots)$ of real numbers. Take the $\sigma$-field $F_1^\infty$ to be the smallest $\sigma$-field of subsets of $F_1^\infty$ containing all finite-dimensional rectangles and take $B_1^\infty$ to be the Borel $\sigma$-field $R_1^\infty$.

  • In this paper we investigate the existence of positive solutions of a nonlinear biharmonic equation under Dirichlet boundary condition in a bounded open set ${\Omega}$ in $\mathbf{R}^n$, i.e., $${\Delta}^2u+c{\Delta}u=bu^{+}+s\;in\;{\Omega},\\u=0,\;{\Delta}u=0\;on\;{\partial}{\Omega}$$.

  • The nonlinear fourth order elliptic equations with jumping nonlinearity was modeled by McKenna. We investigate the trends for the researches of the existence of solutions of a fourth order semilinear elliptic boundary value problem with Dirichlet boundary Condition, ${\Delta}^2u{+}c{\Delta}u=b_1[(u+1)^{-}1]{+}b_2u^+$ in ${\Omega}$, where ${\Omega}$ is a bounded open set in $R^N$ with smooth boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$.
