  • Recently electronic safety and arming device(ESAD) has attracted increasing attention due to its design flexibility. However, ESAD can be armed unintentionally due to a malfunction of an external device or interface. Thus ESAD needs an internally generated arming signal independent from the external device. In this paper, a new sensor-hybrid ESAD(SHESAD) with a flight environment sensing function for generating arming signal internally is proposed and a sled test based method is also suggested for evaluating its functions. Through the test results, the operability of the flight environment sensing function was confirmed. Also, it is shown that the proposed test method is suitable for verification of ESAD with the flight environment sensing function.

  • As the size of circuits becomes larger, the test method needs more test data volume and larger test application time. In order to reduce test data volume and test application time, a new test data compression/decompression method is proposed. The proposed method is based on an XOR network uses don't-care-bits to improve compression ratio during seed vectors generation. After seed vectors are produced seed vectors can be merged using two prefix codes. It only requires 1 clock time for reusing merged seed vectors, so test application time can be reduced tremendously. Experimental results on large ISCAS '89 benchmark circuits prove the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a new test data compression and low power scan test method that can reduce test time and power consumption. A proposed method can reduce the scan-in power and test data volume using a modified scan cell reordering algorithm and hybrid adaptive encoding method. Hybrid test data compression method uses adaptively the Golomb codes and run-length codes according to length of runs in test data, which can reduce efficiently the test data volume compare to previous method. We apply a scan cell reordering technique to minimize the column hamming distance in scan vectors, which can reduce the scan-in power consumption and test data. Experimental results for ISCAS 89 benchmark circuits show that reduced test data and low power scan testing can be achieved in all cases. The proposed method showed an about a 17%-26% better compression ratio, 8%-22% better average power consumption and 13%-60% better peak power consumption than that of previous method.

  • The most crucial factor determining the pumping performance of concrete is the characteristics of the lubricating layer formed between the pipe wall and the inner concrete. Thus, it is important to accurately identify the rheological properties of the lubricating layer to predict the pumping of concrete. In this study, a new method is proposed for measuring the rheological properties of the lubricating layer with improved convenience. To verify the new method, a pumping test was conducted with 337 m-long horizontal piping. The rheological properties of the lubricating layer were assessed by a previously verified method and the new method proposed in this study for a total of four concrete mixtures with design strength ranging from 27 MPa to 60 MPa. The correlation between the existing method and the new method in relation to the viscosity of the lubricating layer was determined, and it was possible to predict the pumping performance with an accuracy of about 88.5% using the viscosity of the lubricating layer obtained from this correlation.

  • This paper suggests a specific model that could efficiently improve the interaction and the interface between WMS(Warehouse Management System) terminal and PDA terminal through real time processing in manufacturing shop. The proposed model shows that the new method can more efficiently perform to reduce processing time for shipping and receiving, compared with the current approach. As a result of the certain test among the main server, WMS system, and PDA terminal, it is noted in case of the new proposed system that the effects of proposed model are as follows: (a) While the receiving lead time for carrying by the current method was 2 hours, the receiving lead time by the new method was 20 minutes. (b) While the shipping lead time for carrying by the current method was 1 hours, the shipping lead time by the new method was 15 minutes. (c) While the inventory rate of accuracy by the current method was 85%, the inventory rate of accuracy by the new method was 98%.

  • This Paper proposes a new artificial immune approach to hardware test. A Novel Algorithm of generating tolerance conditions is suggested based on the principle of the antibody diversity. Tolerance conditions in artificial immune system correspond to the antibody in biological immune system. The suggested method is applied to the on-line monitoring of a typical FSM (a decade counter) and its effectiveness is demonstrated by the computer simulation.

  • In these days, customers require high-quality, high-performance, high-ride comfort for Automobile and then the automotive manufacturers concentrated on study of electrical, high-performance, low-cost of parts and sub-parts. In this paper, for ride comfort estimation PSD(Power Spectral Density) of acceleration at eight test point are measured, and then are calculated with new index of ride comfort. The new index of ride comfort developed for optimal design, real test, applied the actual. It can apply for various fields.

  • This paper presents the hydrodynamic performance characteristics of a planing boat which was tested with a new dynamometer system specifically designed to measure towing force along the thrust plane, the change in trim angle and the vertical displacement of the model center of gravity from still water condition. The test conditions include systematic variations in the three positions of LCG and the three load coefficients of a high speed planing boat.

  • Based on the goodness of fit approach, a new test is presented for testing exponentiality versus exponential better (worse) than used (EBU (EWU)) class of life distributions. The new test is much simpler to compute, asymptotically normal, enjoys good power and performs better than previous tests in terms of power and Pitman asymptotic efficiencies for several alternatives.

  • In order to improve occupant protection in frontal crash, the IIHS introduced a small overlap frontal crash test in 2012. When the front corner of a car collides with another car or object, such as utility pole the test replicated the sequence of events. Because occupants move simultaneously forward and toward the side of the vehicle this test is challenging for some airbag and safety belt designs. In the small overlap frontal test, a car travels at 64 km/h toward a rigid barrier. A hybrid III dummy is positioned in the driver seat. 25% of the total width of the car strikes the barrier on the driver side. After review of small overlap frontal test protocol and overall rating, six run-throughs were performed according to the original test method.
