  • This paper gives a controller design method by Linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) for internal combustion engine with Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT) which satisfies the given $H_\infty$ control performance and robust stability in the presence of physical parameter perturbations. To the end, the validity and applicability of this approach are illustrated by simulation in the all engine operating regions.

  • In this paper, we propose a less conservative a linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition for the constrained robust model predictive control of systems with input constraints and polytopic uncertainty. Systems with input constraints are represented as perturbed systems with sector bounded conditions. For the infinite horizon control, closed-loop stability conditions are obtained by using a parameter dependent Lyapunov function. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by an example.

  • This paper presents an LMI-based method to design sliding mode observers for a class of uncertain systems. Using LIs we derive an existence condition of a sliding mode observer guaranteeing a stable sliding motion. And we give explicit formulas of the observer gain matrices. We also consider sliding mode observer design problems under an α-stability constraint or an LQ performance bound constraint. Finally, we give a numerical design example.

  • This paper presents the Mixed H2/H$\infty$ controller design method with the regional pole placements for underwater vehicle. Since the small and light underwater vehicle is sensitive to disturbances and parameter uncertainties, we design the controller which guarantees robustness against time-delays, parameter uncertainties and disturbances. The LMI(linear matrix inequality) formulations for pole placements in specific regions and H2 and H$\infty$ performances are reviewed. The desired controller can be obtained by solving these LMIs.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel synthesis method of GBSB(Generalized BSB)-based neural autoassociative memories in which we analyze qualitative properties of GBSB model, recast a design problem of an associative memory to LMIP(Linear Matrix Inequality Problem), and optimize the LMIP using LMI techniques. The obtained memory satisfies many of the required properties of associative memories and has some peculiar properties. Comparing experimental results with those of others, we show its correctness and effectiveness.

Guaranteed cost control for singular systems with time delays using LMI

  • This paper is concerned with the problem of designing a guaranteed cost state feedback controller for singular systems with time-varying delays. The sufficient condition for the existence of a guaranteed cost controller, the controller design method, and the optimization problem to get the upper bound of guaranteed cost function are proposed by LMI(linear matrix inequality), singular value decomposition, Schur complements, and change of variables. Since the obtained sufficient conditions can be changed to LMI form, all solutions including controller gain and upper bound of guaranteed cost function can be obtained simultaneously.

  • This paper presents an LMI-based method to design a reduced order observer based sliding mode controller for a class of uncertain systems. Using LMIs we derive an existence condition of a reduced order observer and a sliding mode control law. And we give explicit formulas of the gain matrices. Finally, we give a numerical design example, together with a design algorithm.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new class of stochastic neutral neural networks with uncertain and deterministic coefficients. Made the Sigmund activation and Lipschitz activation functions less conditional. The Lyapnov-Krasovskii functional is constructed. The linear matrix inequality (LMI) is constructed using Schur's lemma, and new criteria for the global asymptotic stability and global asymptotic robust stability of neural networks are obtained. Furthermore, we have verified that the method is effective and feasible through numerical examples.

  • In this paper, we propose a non-fragile guaranteed cost controller design method for uncertain linear systems with constant delyas in state. The norm bounded and time-varying uncertainties are subjected to system and controller design matrices. A quadratic cost function is considered as the performance measure for the system. Based on the Lyapunov method, an LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) optimization problem is established to design the controller which uses information of delayed state and minimizes the upper bound of the quadratic cost function for all admissible system uncertainties and controller gain variations. Numerical examples show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문은 변수 불확실성과 제어기의 곱셈형 섭동을 가지는 특이시스템에 대한 비약성 강인 보장비용 제어기 설계 알고리듬을 제안한다. 제어기가 존재할 조건, 비약성 보장비용 제어기 설계 방법, 제어기에서의 비약성 척도와 보장비용 성능지수를 최소화하는 보장비용의 상한치(upper bound)를 선형행렬부등식 접근방벙으로 제안한다. 또한, 특이치분해와 변수치환 및 슈어 여수정리를 이용하여 구한 충분조건은 구하고자 하는 변수의 견지에서 볼록최적화(convex optimization)가 가능한 선형행렬부등식으로 변형된다. 따라서, 제안한 비약성 강인 보장비용 제어기는 변수 불확실성과 제어기의 곱셈형 섭동을 가지는 폐루프 특시이스템의 점근적 안정성과 보장비용 성능지수를 최소화하고 제어기의 섭동에 대해서도 안정성을 보장한다. 마지막으로, 수치예제를 통하여 제안한 알고리듬의 타당성을 검증한다.
