In this paper, we study well-posed problems and variational inequalities in locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces. The necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of solutions of variational inequality problems and quasi variational inequalities even when the underlying set K is not convex. In certain cases, solutions obtained are not unique. Moreover, counter examples are also presented for the authenticity of the main results.

In this paper, we introduce two general iterative algorithms (one implicit algorithm and one explicit algorithm) for finding a common element of the solution set of the variational inequality problems for a continuous monotone mapping, the zero point set of a set-valued maximal monotone operator, and the fixed point set of a continuous pseudocontractive mapping in a Hilbert space. Then we establish strong convergence of the proposed iterative algorithms to a common point of three sets, which is a solution of a certain variational inequality. Further, we find the minimum-norm element in common set of three sets.

In this paper, a new iterative algorithm involving quasi-nonexpansive mapping in Hilbert space is proposed and proved to be strongly convergent to a point which is simultaneously a fixed point of a quasi-nonexpansive mapping, a solution of an equilibrium problem and the set of solutions of a variational inequality problem. The results of the paper extend previous results, see, for instance, Takahashi and Takahashi (J Math Anal Appl 331:506-515, 2007), P.E.Maing $\acute{e}$ (Computers and Mathematics with Applications, 59: 74-79,2010) and other results in this field.

In this paper, we propose a sufficient condition for the existence of solutions to general variational inequality problems (GVI(K, F, $g$)). The condition is also necessary when F is a $g-P^M_*$ function. We also investigate the boundedness of the solution set of (GVI(K, F, $g$)). Furthermore, we show that when F is norm-coercive, the general complementarity problems (GCP(K, F, $g$)) has a nonempty compact solution set. Finally, we establish some existence theorems for (GNCP(K, F, $g$)).

In this paper we have considered a system of mixed generalized variational inequality problems defined on two different domains in a Hilbert space. It has been shown that the solution of a system of mixed generalized variational inequality problems is equivalent to altering point formulation of some mappings. A new parallel S-iteration type process has been considered which converges strongly to the solution of a system of mixed generalized variational inequality problems.

In this paper, we propose a viscosity iterative algorithm for approximating a common solution of finite family of variational inequality problem and fixed point problem for finite family of multi-valued type-one demicontractive mappings in real Hilbert spaces. A strong convergence result of the aforementioned problems were proved and some consequences of our result was also displayed. In addition, we discuss an application of our main result to convex minimization problem. The result presented in this article complements and extends many recent results in literature.

고독사는 최근 우리 사회에서 주목하는 사회문제 중의 하나이다. 고독사의 대부분의 사례가 사회취약계층으로 건강문제를 경험한 것으로 보고되고 있다. 이처럼 건강문제를 가지고 있음에도, 임종을 홀로 맞는 등 이들의 건강불평등 문제의 심각성을 보여주고 있다. 본 연구에서는 신문기사를 활용하여 고독사 사례의 건강불평등 문제를 조명해 보고자 하였다. 분석방법은 질적 접근인 내용분석을 수행하였다. 최근 3년간 신문에 보도된 89사례를 최종 선정하여 분석하였다. 고독사 사례의 특성, 질환이나 건강문제의 유형, 그리고 의료서비스 미충족 등의 영역으로 분석을 수행하였다. 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 향후 고독사 예방에서 보건의료 영역과 지역사회의 복지서비스 제공 체계 간의 협력과 역할에 대한 논의를 제시하였다.

This article surveys the control theoretic study on time delay systems. Since time delay systems are infinite dimensional, there are not analytic but numerical solutions on almost analysis and synthesis problems, which implies that there are a tremendous number of approximated solutions. To show how to find such solutions, several results are summarized in terms of two different axes: 1) theoretic tools like integral inequality associated with the derivative of delay terms, Jensen inequality, lower bound lemma for reciprocal convexity, and Wirtinger-based inequality and 2) various candidates for Laypunov-Krasovskii functionals.

This study provides empirical evidences for the relationship between income inequality and economic growth, and relationship of income inequality with some of explanatory variables such as technological innovation, trade globalization, financial globalization and fiscal policy. We find out that income inequality has an adverse effect on economic growth, showing its dynamic features, for which we employed the polynomial distributed lags (PDL) model. The effect of income inequality on economic growth lasts over 9 years, and its dynamic effect peaks after 4 years. In addition, we also attempted to find out empirical evidences of sources of income inequality. The results show that income inequality is positively related to technological innovation, financial globalization, and fiscal policy; negatively related to the trade globalization. Many studies employ cross-country data, but it could have serious problems in collecting statistical data. Korean data is used over the time period of 1990-2015 in this study.

In this paper, we introduce a new iteration method based on the hybrid method in mathematical programming and the descent-like method for finding a common element of the solution set for a variational inequality and the set of common fixed points of a nonexpansive semigroup in Hilbert spaces. We obtain a strong convergence for the sequence generated by our method in Hilbert spaces. The result in this paper modifies and improves some well-known results in the literature for a more general problem.
