  • In this paper, we consider, under a hybrid iterative scheme with errors, a weak convergence theorem to a common element of the set of a finite family of asymptotically k-strictly pseudo-contractive mappings and a solution set of an equilibrium problem for a given bifunction, which is the approximation version of the corresponding results of Kumam et al.

  • In this paper, we prove a strong convergence result under an iterative scheme for N finite asymptotically $k_i-strictly$ pseudo-contractive mappings and a firmly nonexpansive mappings $S_r$. Then, we modify this algorithm to obtain a strong convergence result by hybrid methods. Our results extend and unify the corresponding ones in [1, 2, 3, 8]. In particular, some necessary and sufficient conditions for strong convergence under Algorithm 1.1 are obtained.

  • Our purpose in this paper is to introduce the concept of complex valued convex metric spaces and introduce an analogue of the Picard-Ishikawa hybrid iterative scheme, recently proposed by Okeke [24] in this new setting. We approximate (common) fixed points of certain contractive conditions through these two new concepts and obtain several corollaries. We prove that the Picard-Ishikawa hybrid iterative scheme [24] converges faster than all of Mann, Ishikawa and Noor [23] iterative schemes in complex valued convex metric spaces. Also, we give some numerical examples to validate our results.

  • In this paper, a novel parallel hybrid iterative method is proposed for finding a common element of the set of solutions of a system of equilibrium problems, the set of solutions of variational inequalities for inverse strongly monotone mappings and the set of fixed points of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert space. Strong convergence theorem is proved for the sequence generated by the scheme. Finally, a parallel iterative algorithm for two finite families of variational inequalities and nonexpansive mappings is established.

  • In this paper, an error-detection-coding-aided iterative hard decision interference cancellation (EDC-IHIC) scheme for multiple-input multiple-output systems employing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) for multi-packet transmission is developed and investigated. In the EDC-IHIC scheme, only packets identified as error-free by the EDC are submitted to the interference cancellation (IC) stage for cancellation from the received signals. Therefore, the possibility of error propagation, including inter-transmission error propagation, can be eliminated using EDC-IHIC. Because EDC must be implemented in systems that employ HARQ to determine packet retransmission, error propagation can be prevented without the need for additional redundancy. The results of simulations conducted herein verify that the EDC-IHIC scheme outperforms conventional hard decision IC schemes in terms of the packet error rate in various environments.

  • To the best of our knowledge, it would probably be the first time in the literature that we clarify the relationship between Yamada's method and viscosity iteration correctly. We design iterative methods based on the hybrid steepest descent algorithms for solving variational inclusions, equilibrium problems. Our results unify, extend and improve the corresponding results given by many others.

  • In this paper, we introduce a new iterative scheme for finding a common element of the fixed points set of a countable family of uniformly Lipschitzian generalized asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings and the solutions set of equilibrium problems. Some strong convergence theorems of the proposed iterative scheme are established by using the concept of W-mappings of a countable family of uniformly Lipschitzian generalized asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings.

  • This paper proposes a hybrid successive over-relaxation iterative method for the numerical solution of a nonlinear diffusion in a one-dimensional porous medium. The considered mathematical model is discretized using a computational complexity reduction scheme called half-sweep finite differences. The local truncation error and the analysis of the stability of the scheme are discussed. The proposed iterative method, which uses explicit group technique and modified successive over-relaxation, is formulated systematically. This method improves the efficiency of obtaining the solution in terms of total iterations and program elapsed time. The accuracy of the proposed method, which is measured using the magnitude of absolute errors, is promising. Numerical convergence tests of the proposed method are also provided. Some numerical experiments are delivered using initial-boundary value problems to show the superiority of the proposed method against some existing numerical methods.

  • In this paper, we introduce and study an explicit hybrid relaxed extragradient iterative method to approximate a common solution to generalized mixed equilibrium problem and fixed point problem for a nonexpansive semigroup in Hilbert space. Further, we prove that the sequence generated by the proposed iterative scheme converges strongly to the common solution to generalized mixed equilibrium problem and fixed point problem for a nonexpansive semigroup. This common solution is the unique solution of a variational inequality problem and is the optimality condition for a minimization problem. The results presented in this paper are the supplement, improvement and generalization of the previously known results in this area.

  • In this paper, we present a modified (improved) generalized M-iteration with the inertial technique for three quasi-nonexpansive multivalued mappings in a real Hilbert space. In addition, we obtain a weak convergence result under suitable conditions and the strong convergence result is achieved using the hybrid projection method with our modified generalized M-iteration. Finally, we apply our convergence results to certain optimization problem, and present some numerical experiments to show the efficiency and applicability of the proposed method in comparison with other improved iterative methods (modified SP-iterative scheme) in the literature. The results obtained in this paper extend, generalize and improve several results in this direction.
