This essay examines the relationship between counterterrorism within the Lake Chad Basin Commission hereinafter referred to as LCBC and its effects on leaders' tenure in office. The countries of the LCBC, an intergovernmental institution promoting regional integration in the sub-region, established the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) primarily to maintain peace and security. In April 2012 the mandate of this structure was reinvigorated and broadened to manage the ongoing menace perpetrated by the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram in the sub-region. The political consequences, however, has not been identical for leaders of the member states of the LCBC participating in this counterterrorism operation. This essay primarily relies on secondary data derived from available public data sets in explaining this phenomenon. The phenomenon of leaders in Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger and Chad between 2010 and 2018 is used to examine the relationship between counterterrorism in the Lake Chad Basin Commission and its effects on political survival. Results suggest that leaders of highly democratic countries are more likely to lose office and held accountable for either perceived inaction or failure in the counterterrorism operation than their counterparts in autocratic states.

The Euclid metric is well-known and there are many results on the space with that metric. But there are many other metrics which gives more practical and useful results in the plane. In this paper, we introduce new metric function in the plane, which is more useful in city with subway. Finally we generalize to the general metric space and introduce a new metric on ${\mathbb{R}}^n$.

This article aimed to investigate problems relating to medical tourism based on a review of medical tourism reports and statistics in the global healthcare industry. To be a leading nation in the global healthcare industry, the needs and culture of many peoples, including Muslims, should be considered. Qualified medical services by JCI certification, including nutrition services, will provide opportunities to participate in the international and Asia medical tourism markets. In this article, the definitions of medical tourism, medical service, Halal and Haram, nutrition service for inbound Muslim patients, and Halal food supply in Korea were examined for medical service improvement. Mutual assistance between the government and private enterprise, sharing of medical service information, and construction of a cooperative network system are needed and should be supported by the government.

This paper proposes a new link structure that transmits power, clock, and data through a single optical fiber for a future automotive network. A pulse-position modulation (PPM) technique is adopted to guarantee a DC-balanced signal for robust power transmission regardless of transmitted data pattern. Further, circuit implementations and theoretical analyses for the proposed PPM transceiver are described in this paper. A prototype transceiver fabricated in 65-nm CMOS technology, is used to verify the PPM signaling part of the proposed system. The prototype achieves a $10^{-13}$ bit-error rate and 0.188-UI high frequency jitter tolerance while consuming 14 mW at 800 Mb/s.

본 연구에서는 사람이 접근하기 어려운 환경에 설치되어 있는 설비의 센싱 정보를 저가의 센서들을 사용하여 무선통신으로 전송하고 이후의 센싱 정보 데이터를 시각화하고 저장하며 센서의 오작동과 설비의 고장여부를 판단 할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구에서 제안한 시스템은 센싱된 데이터들을 저렴한 비용으로 지속적으로 오류를 판단하여 센싱의 오류 정보를 보정하고 정확한 센싱정보를 처리하도록 한다.

Objective: The main purpose of this study was to investigate the direct effect of preschoolers' behavioral inhibition and indirect effects through maternal overprotective parenting and autonomy support on preschoolers' anxiety. Methods: A total of 295 preschoolers and their mothers were the subjects of this study. Mothers completed a questionnaire that included measures of their parenting behavior, preschoolers' behavioral inhibition and anxiety. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results: First, preschoolers' behavioral inhibition had a direct effect on their anxiety. Preschoolers with higher behavioral inhibition displayed higher levels of anxiety. Second, maternal overprotective parenting mediated the relationship between preschoolers' behavioral inhibition and anxiety. Third, maternal autonomy support mediated the relationship between preschoolers' behavioral inhibition and anxiety. Conclusion/Implications: The findings of this study emphasize the importance of reducing maternal overprotective parenting and promoting autonomy support to prevent preschoolers' anxiety. These findings could be used as a foundation for developing parent education programs for mothers with behaviorally inhibited preschoolers.

본 논문에서는 구글 클라우드의 Healthcare API의 의료정보 표준에 따라 정의된 객체들을 저장하는 과정을 수행하고 활용방안을 설계한다. 클라우드에서 프로젝트 생성, API 활용 설정, 인증, 데이터 셋 생성 등의 과정을 거쳐 cloud shell을 통해 curl 명령을 수행함으로써 Json으로 표현된 의료자원들에 대해 CRUD 연산을 수행할 수 있다. 무결성 체크 과정에서 기본 객체의 id 필드 명세가 중요하며 데이터 저장시 객체에 구글 클라우드의 특정한 request 속성추가가 필요하다.

We report the post-annealing effect of Sn doped ZnO (ZnO:Sn) thin film grown on sapphire (001) substrate using radio-frequency powder sputtering method. During thermal annealing in a vacuum atmosphere, the ZnO:Sn thin film is transformed into a porous thin film. Based on X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray analyses, a possible mechanism for the production of pores is presented. Sn atoms segregate to form clusters that act as catalysts to dissociate Zn-O bonds. The Zn and O atoms subsequently vaporize, leading to the formation of pores in the ZnO:Sn thin film. We also found that Sn clusters were oxidized to form SnO or $SnO_2$ phases.

Purpose - This study aims to explore the influence of combining "non-halal" labels with visual and textual warning labels on cigarette packages to induce the intention to quit smoking and boost the stop-smoking campaign. Research design, data, and methodology - This study examines"non-halal" labeling on cigarette packages using an experimental method. A total of 120 smokers, aged 18-23, were chosen from among Universitas Indonesia students. Data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA and T-Test. Results - The use of a "non-halal" label as a warning on cigarette packages is more effective to influence Muslim smokers to quit smoking. The results also suggest that "non-halal" labels more effectively increase intentions to quit smoking when use din combination with textual-visual labels. Conclusions - The study found that the addition of "non-halal" labels in textual or textual-visual warning labels on cigarette packages would significantly increase the intention of Moslems smokers to quit smoking. These results support previous research findings, that if cigarettes are labeled as "non-halal" (haram) products for Moslem teenagers, it will induce them to quit smoking.

In perovskite solar cells with planar heterojunction configuration, selection of proper charge-transporting layers is very important to achieve stable and efficient device. Here, we developed solution processible Cu doped NiO_x (Cu:NiO_x) thin film as a hole-transporting layer (HTL) in p-i-n structured methylammonium lead trihalide (MAPbI₃) perovskite solar cell. The transmittance and thickness of NiO_x HTL is optimized by control the spin-coating rate and Cu is additionally doped to improve the surface morphology of undoped NiO_x thin film and hole-extraction properties. Consequently, a perovskite solar cell containing Cu:NiO_x HTL with optimal doping ratio of Cu exhibits a power conversion efficiency of 14.6%.
