BIHARMONIC CURVES IN FINSLER SPACES

  • Biharmonic curves are a generalization of geodesics, with applications in elasticity theory and computer science. The paper proposes a first study of biharmonic curves in spaces with Finslerian geometry, covering the following topics: a deduction of their equations, specific properties and existence of non-geodesic biharmonic curves for some classes of Finsler spaces. Integration of the biharmonic equation is presented for two concrete Finsler metrics.

  • In this paper, we study the infinitesimal transformation on the fibred Riemannian space. The conharmonic curvature tensor is invariant under the conharmonic transformation. We have proved that the conharmonically flat fibred Riemannian space with totally geodesic fibre is locally the Riemannian product of the base space and a fibre.

  • 보로노이 다이아그램은 계산기하학에서 다양한 형태의 근접 문제를 해결함에 있어 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 일반적으로 평면상의 n 개의 점에 의한 평면 보로노이 다이아그램 O(nlogn) 시간에 생성할 수 있으며 이 알고리즘의 시간 복잡도가 최적임이 밝혀져 있다. 본 논문에서는 특별한 관계를 갖는 단위 구면상의 점들에 대한 구면 상에서 정의되는 보로노이 다이아그램을 O(n)에 생성하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 이때 주어진 구면상의 점들은 볼록 다면체의 단위 법선 벡터들의 종점에 해당되며, 구면 보로노이 다이아그램의 선분은 구면상의 geodesic으로 이루어진다.

Ricci Semi-Symmetric Lightlike Hypersurfaces of an Indefinite Cosymplectic Space Form

  • This paper is devoted to study Ricci semi-symmetric lightlike hypersurfaces of an indefinite cosymplectic space form with structure vector field tangent to hypersurface. The condition for Ricci tensor of lightlike hypersurface of indefinite cosymplectic space form to be semi-symmetric and parallel have been obtained. An example of non-totally geodesic Ricci semi-symmetric lightlike hypersurface in $R^7_2$ have been given.

  • In this paper, we study GCR-lightlike submanifolds of indefinite Sasakian manifold. We give some necessary and sufficient conditions on integrability of various distributions of GCR-lightlike submanifold of an indefinite Sasakian manifold. We also find the conditions for each leaf of holomorphic distribution and radical distribution is totally geodesic.

  • In [2] we proved that if the minimum of the sectional curvature of a compact real minimal hypersurface of CP$^{m}$ is 1/(2m-1), then M is the geodesic hypersphere. This result was generalized in [8] to the case of M is a generic submanifold with flat normal connection. The purpose of the present paper is to prove a following generalization of theorems in [2] and [8].

Semi-Slant Lightlike Submanifolds of Indefinite Sasakian Manifolds

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of semi-slant lightlike submanifolds of indefinite Sasakian manifolds giving characterization theorem with some non-trivial examples of such submanifolds. Integrability conditions of distributions $D_1$, $D_2$ and RadTM on semi-slant lightlike submanifolds of an indefinite Sasakian manifold have been obtained. We also obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for foliations determined by above distributions to be totally geodesic.

  • We determine maximal space-like hypersurfaces which are the images of subbundles of the normal bundle of m-dimensional totally geodesic space-like submanifolds of an (m + 2)-dimensional Lorentzian space form $\tilde{M}_1^{m+2}$(c) under the normal exponential map. Then we construct examples of maximal space-like hypersurfaces of $\tilde{M}_1^{m+2}$(c).
