  • In this paper, we propose a controller capable of reducing the effect of measurement errors under AC and DC noise. Typically, the control system measures data through a sensor. If sensor noise is included in a controller via the feedback channel, the signal is distorted and the entire system cannot work normally. Therefore, some appropriate action to counter the measurement error effect is essential in the controller design. Our controller is equipped with a gain-scaling factor and a compensator to reduce the effect of measurement error in the feedback signal. Also, we use a switching control strategy to enhance the performance of the controller regarding convergence speed. Our proposed controller can therefore effectively reduce the AC and DC noise of the sensor. We analyze the proposed controller by Laplace transform technique and our control method is verified via MATLAB simulation.

  • In this study, the influence of cement factor on the early strength gain and the other properties of concrete is discussed. According to the result, the setting time is faster in order of alumina cement(AC), high-early-strength cement(HSC) and ordinary Portland cement(OPC), and when OPC are replaced with HSC and AC, the final setting time is faster than when only OPC is used. At 10% replacement of AC, the instant setting happens. As the particle of cement is minute, setting time is shortened. As the properties of hardened concrete, the time when compressive strength of 5㎫, which the form can be removed, is gained is about 18 and 16 hours in the case of OPC and HSC respectively, and in the case of AC, it is about 5 hours. It also shows 16 hours at the replacing ratio of HSC of 50%, and 26 and 72 hours at the replacing ratio of AC of 5 and 10% respectively. And it shows 21, 16 and 12 hours with variation of fineness of cement, so early strength gain is fast with an increase of fineness. The coefficient of correlation between compressive strength and the rebound value is over 0.97, is very favorable. Therefore, if the rebound value of P type Schmidt hammer is more than 25, it is thought that the side forms can be removed.

  • In this paper, we propose a controller for a ball and beam system which reduces the measurement error effect under AC and DC noise. The ball and beam system measures data through a sensor. Peppermint Oil Promotes Hair Growth without Toxic Signs

  • Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is a plant native to Europe and has been widely used as a carminative and gastric stimulant worldwide. This plant also has been used in cosmetic formulations as a fragrance component and skin conditioning agent. This study investigated the effect of peppermint oil on hair growth in C57BL/6 mice. The animals were randomized into 4 groups based on different topical applications: saline (SA), jojoba oil (JO), 3% minoxidil (MXD), and 3% peppermint oil (PEO). The hair growth effects of the 4-week topical applications were evaluated in terms of hair growth, histological analysis, enzymatic activity of alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and gene expression of insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), known bio-markers for the enhanced hair growth. Of the 4 experimental groups, PEO group showed the most prominent hair growth effects; a significant increase in dermal thickness, follicle number, and follicle depth. ALP activity and IGF-1 expression also significantly increased in PEO group. Body weight gain and food efficiency were not significantly different between groups. These results suggest that PEO induces a rapid anagen stage and could be used for a practical agent for hair growth without change of body weight gain and food efficiency.

Dietary inclusion effect of various levels of jack mackerel meal on the growth performance, feed efficiency and whole body composition of rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli)

  • Inclusion effect of various levels of jack mackerel meal (JMM) acting as feed attractants and/or stimulants in diets on the growth, feed consumption, feed utilization and whole body composition of rockfish was investigated. Three hundred juvenile rockfish were randomly allocated into 15 flow-through tanks. Five experimental diets supplemented with JMM at 0%, 1%, 3%, 5%, and 10% at the expense of anchovy meal were prepared and referred to as the JMM0, JMM1, JMM3, JMM5, and JMM10 diets, respectively. Weight gain, specific growth rate (SGR) and feed consumption of fish tended to improve with dietary levels of JMM. The greatest weight gain, SGR and feed consumption were observed in fish fed the JMM10 diet, followed by the JMM5, JMM3, JMM1, and JMM0 diets, in that order. Condition factor (CF) of fish tended to improve with dietary inclusion levels of JMM. Growth performance, feed consumption and CF of fish tended to improve with dietary inclusion levels of JMM ranging from 0% to 10%.

도립진자 모델에서 칼만 필터의 잡음인자 해석 (The Analysis of The Kalman Filter Noise Factor on The Inverted Pendulum)

  • 도립진자 시스템에서 칼만 필터링 최적의 결과를 얻기 위해서는 잡음 공분산 행열 Q, 측정잡음 공분산 행열 R과 초기 에러 공분산 행열 $P_0$와 같은 인자가 필요하다. 이러한 인자는 실제 상황에서 근사화된 값을 사용하거나 정확한 값을 알 수 없기 때문에 칼만 필터의 최적화에 영향을 미치지 않거나 이러한 공분산 행열의 스칼라 이득변화에 덜 민감한 경우를 연구의 대상으로 하고 있다. 또한 상태 측정시 에러를 예측하는 방법으로 구해진 에러 공분산 행열은 상태측정 값 보다는 공분산 행열의 이득과 연관성을 가지게 된다. 따라서 3가지 공분산 행열과 칼만 이득 그리고 에러 공분산 행열 간의 상관관계가 잡음인자인 스칼라 이득과의 연관성을 해석하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 3절에서 도립진자 시스템 모델을 간략하게 정리를 하였고 4절에서는 이러한 모델을 기반으로 하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 위한 도립진자 시스템에 대한 수학적 동적모델을 구성하고 5절에서는 이러한 인자와 스칼라 이득 값을 이용한 다양한 시뮬레이션 결과를 통하여 잡음인자의 연관성을 해석하였다.

원격자료수신장비 소형반사판 안테나 G/T 예측 및 측정 (The calculation and Measurement Methods for G/T of the Telemetry Small Aperture Antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 나로우주센터에서 운용 중인 원격자료수신장비의 G/T에 대한 시뮬레이션 활용 계산 결과와 측정 방법 2개에 대하여 분석하였다. 안테나 이득과 잡음 온도는 ICARA와 Antenna Noise Temperature Calculator를 이용하여 계산하였다. 시스템 G/T는 안테나 이득/잡음돈도와 LNA 이득/잡음온도, 케이블 손실을 반영하여 산출하였다. 첫 번째 G/T 측정 방법은 Y팩터 측정법으로 LNA 입력단에 안테나와 50ohm 터미네이션을 각각 연결했을 때의 신호 레벨 차이값을 LNA 열잡음 온도와 비교하여 G/T를 산출하는 방법이다. 두 번째 방법은 태양과 최저 레벨 지점을 바라보았을 때의 잡음 레벨 값 차이를 비교하여 G/T를 구하는 Solar Calibration 측정법이다. 마지막으로 G/T 계산결과와 두 측정법 비교를 통해 정확성을 검토하고 이로부터 안테나 성능, 운용환경에 따른 최적 측정법을 제시하였다.

Exosomal Protein Profiles as Novel Biomarkers in Weight Gain After Kidney Transplantation: A Pilot Study

  • Purpose:Weight gain after kidney transplantation is a critical factor that can lead to poor outcomes with cardiovascular complications. Many studies have been conducted to identify predictive markers of future weight changes at the time of transplant. Recently, circulating exosomes and its contents including miRNAs and proteins have attracted attention as potential biomarkers. In this pilot study, we investigated exosomal proteins and weight change after kidney transplant. Methods: Recipients (n = 10) were classified into two groups; weight gainers (n = 5, 9.7 ± 4.4kg) and weight losers (n = 5, -6.4 ± 1.8kg) based on their weight changes at 12-months posttransplant. Based on the exosomal protein profiles obtained by the LC-MS/MS, differentially expressed proteins were identified between the groups. Results: Concentration and the mean size of exosomes significantly increased at 12-months compared to the baseline (p= .009) in the total group. Eleven exosomal proteins were found at the baseline as differentially expressed between the two groups. In the weight gain group, complement proteins including HV169, C3, C4B, and C4A, were significantly upregulated. Conclusion: Our pilot study suggests that exosomal complementary proteins are associated with weight gain after kidney transplantation. Further studies are needed to clarify the role of these exosomal proteins in the underlying mechanisms of weight changes in kidney transplant recipients.

역 빔형성기를 이용한 3중 선배열 시스템에서의 어레이 이득향상 (Array Gain Improvement of Triple Line Array System Using Inverse Beamforming)

  • 다중경로가 존재하는 수중환경에서 표적으로부터 발생되는 신호의 도래방위를 정확히 예측하기 위한 방법으로써. 최근 이론이 정립된 Inverse beamforming(역빔형성) integral equation의 해인 역빔형성기에 대한 이론적 고찰 및 simulation에 의한 방위탐지 성능분석을 수행하였고, 표적 도래방위의 좌우 구분을 위한 Cardioid 빔형성에 역빔형성 알고리즘을 적용한 IBF -Cardioid 빔형성기법을 고안하여 성능분석을 수행하였다. 이상적인 조건하에서 역빔형성기는 Conventional beamformed고전빔형성기)에 비해 array noise gain 3dB 이상 향상됨을 이론적으로 검증하고. simulation을 통하여 이를 입증하였다. 도래방위 탐지의 정확도를 나타내는 빔폭도 고전빔형성기에 의한 빔폭의 0.68배 정도인 것으로 입증하였다. 역빙형성 알고리즘이 적용된 Cardioid 빔형성(IBF -Cardioid 빔형성)기법은 고전 알고리즘에 의한 탐지성능에 비해 탐지의 정확도, 분해능 의 탐지성능이 우세함을 입증하였고, 특히, endfire 방향에 대한 정확한 방위탐지와 탐지성능이 향상됨을 입증 하였다.

적응적 신호 크기 예측을 이용한 G.711 패킷 손실 은닉 알고리즘의 성능향상 (Performance Improvement of Packet Loss Concealment Algorithm in G.711 Using Adaptive Signal Scale Estimation)

  • 본 논문에서는 G.711 패킷 손실 은닉 알고리즘의 성능향상을 위해 적응적 신호 크기 예측을 사용하는 패킷 손실 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 방법은 연속 손실이 발생하였을 때 20 %의 감쇠인자를 가지고 이득조절을 수행하였다. 그러나 이 방법은 신호의 변화를 고려하지 않기 때문에 신호가 왜곡되는 경우가 발생한다. 따라서 Least Mean Square(LMS) 예측기를 사용하여 이전과 이후 프레임의 정보를 통한 적응적 신호 크기 예측으로 이득을 조절하는 것을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능 평가는 Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality(PESQ) 평가를 통하여 나타내었다.
