Study on the Electrical Characterization of Inverted Staggered Pentacene Thin Film Transistor using Hydrogen Plasma Treatment (수소 플라즈마 처리를 이용한 역스테거드형 펜타센 트랜지스터의 전기적 특성 향상에 대한 연구)

  • In order to reach the high electrical quality of organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) such as high mobility and on-off current ratio, it is strongly desirable to study the enhancement of electrical properties in OTFTs. Here, we report the novel method of hydrogen plasma treatment to improve electrical properties in inverted staggered OTFTs based on pentacene as active layer. To certify the effect of this method, we compared the electrical properties of normal device as a reference with those of device using the novel method. In result, the normal device as a reference making no use of this method exhibited a field effect mobility of 0.055 $\textrm{cm}^2$/Vs, on/off current ratio of 10$^3$, threshold voltage of -4.5 V, and subthreshold slope of 7.6 V/dec. While the device using the novel method exhibited a field effect mobility of 0.174 $\textrm{cm}^2$/Vs, on/off current ratio of 10$\^$6/, threshold voltage of -0.5 V, and subthreshold slope of 1.49 V/dec. According to these results, we have found the electrical performances in inverted staggered pentacene TFT owing to this method are remarkably enhanced. So, this method plays a key role in highly improving the electric performance of OTFTs. Moreover, this method is the first time yet reported for any OTFTs.

  • For the past hundred years, since many films have only been focusing on expressing suppressed desire and obsession, there have been few films in which unconsciousness desire is expressed and pursuing dream comes true as Freud says. Well known for a convoluted and dreamy structure and plot, David Lynch successfully represents a real dream sequence with his own way of image presentation form in his representative film "Mulholland Drive (2001)". In this study, I attempt to analyze how he expresses the realistic dream sequence with a strange film structure based on Freud's psychoanalysis. In general, dream world is known as completely visual matter, but the feeling of things is more important for making a realistic dream and it is the main reason that we can have more realistic experiences in a dream.

  • Non-volatile memories using ferroelectric-gate field-effect transistors (Fe-FETs) with a metal/ferroelectric/semiconductor gate stack (MFS-FETs) make non-destructive read operation possible. In addition, they also have features such as high switching speed, non-volatility, radiation tolerance, and high density. However, the interface reaction between ferroelectric materials and Si substrates, i.e. generation of mobile ions and short retention, make it difficult to obtain a good ferroelectric/Si interface in an MFS-FET's gate. To overcome these difficulties, Fe-FETs with a metal/ferroelectric/insulator/semiconductor gate stack (MFIS-FETs) have been proposed, where insulator as a buffer layer is inserted between ferroelectric materials and Si substrates. We prepared $SrBi_2Ta_2O_9$ (SBT) film as a ferroelectric layer and $LaZrO_x$ (LZO) film as a buffer layer on p-type (100) silicon wafer for making the MFIS-FET devices. For definition of source and drain region, phosphosilicate glass (PSG) thin film was used as a doping source of phosphorus (P). Ultimately, the n-channel ferroelectric-gate FET using the SBT/LZO/Si Structure is fabricated. To examine the ferroelectric effect of the fabricated Fe-FETs, drain current ($I_d$) versus gate voltage ($V_g$) characteristics in logarithmic scale was measured. Also, drain current ($I_d$) versus drain voltage ($V_d$) characteristics of the fabricated SBT/LZO/Si MFIS-FETs was measured according to the gate voltage variation.

  • In this study, we fabricated a micro $Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$ (PZT) film piezoelectric cantilever with a Si proof mass and dual beams through MEMS process. The size of the beam and the integrated Si proof mass were about $4,320{\mu}m{\times}290{\mu}m{\times}12{\mu}m$ and $1,380{\mu}m{\times}880{\mu}m{\times}450{\mu}m$ each. To reduce the air damping and have the larger displacement of dual beams was used for design. After mounting micro PZT film piezoelectric cantilever on shaker, we measured the resonance frequency and a output voltage while making resonant frequency changed. The resonant frequency and the highest average power of the cantilever device were 110.2 Hz and 0.36 ${\mu}W$ each, at 0.8 g acceleration and 23.7 $k{\Omega}$ load resistance, respectively.

  • thiathlophene (EDiTT) was synthesized. The yield of the synthesis was about 29%. The monomer was identified by using NMR, IR and UV/Vis spectroscopic methods. Poly (3,4-ethylenedithiathiophene) (PEDiTT) was prepared using this monomer and FeCl$_3$. The deep blue green color of the product was changed into brown color by the reduction with $N_2$H$_4$. This was soluble to common organic solvents. Spectroelectrochemistry was used to characterize the PEDiTT. NMP was the best solvent for PEDiTT. PEDiTT/NMP solution was used for making SAM type thin film of the polymer on gold electrode. Electrochemical and IR spectroscopic methods were used to identify the thin film.

  • In the movie market, make-up shows various ways of make up in professional technology as the industry develops. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the trend of making a movie with a change in the type of movie Regarding the characteristics of makeup in the early days of silent films, the stage makeup was fully used. also in the days of sound films, the realistic and concrete makeup was expressed such as straight makeup, character makeup, Special effects makeup, and digital makeup. With the development of the fourth industry, CGI special effects have become possible not only in the background of movies but also in makeup. In the movie, makeup does not use CGI makeup alone, but it is used in a combination of straight makeup, character makeup, and special effects makeup. That's why a variety of makeup needs to be taught. In the future, the domestic film industry should establish the improvement measures for educating the techniques of prosthetic/digital makeup by securing the sufficient finances to more vitalize the film industry of Korea in domestic/foreign markets.

  • In this study, the development of transparent UV blocking material using $TiO_{2-x}$ oxide thin film process was developed. A process technology is related to a process technology for making a sample with ultraviolet-shielding property of visible light transmittance of 78 % or more (total light transmittance at 550 nm) and of a UV cut-off characteristic of more than 95 % at 315 nm in ultraviolet wavelength band. In this study, it is possible to establish a flexible device process condition of high performance ultraviolet (UV) shielding thin film, to design mixed type of transparent flexible device with heterogeneous characteristics and to formulate composite deposition technology, according to various market demands. Establishment of actual roll-to-roll continuous process and equipment and process technology will affect related industries greatly.

  • Zhang yimou's film "the shadow" adopts a lot of modern literary symbolic content in the story structure. The novel has been greatly modified, abandoning the setting of the original work and making up the historical background of the story, thus completing the discourse practice of aerial literature rather than historical literature. The film expresses the historical story poetically and even writes the personal mind. In this way, the audience's sense of substitution is increased, and a large number of traditional Chinese cultural symbols are adopted visually.   • Is a failed blockbuster film? Is there no room for reconsideration of the value of the film in terms of its contents and forms? The purpose of this study is to answer these questions. In 2007, SHIM Hyung-rae's was in the limelight due to the nationalist discourse around the film rather than evaluation of the film itself. In terms of its narrative and formal properties, the film showed the difference from the Korean nationalist blockbuster films. It led to the disaccord and hard-to-understand results of having somewhat disappointed box-office success of 8,500,000 audiences in comparison to the input, of receiving well by a generous part of the audiences absorbed by nationalism, and of getting the critics' cynic criticism of the film's cinematic value. Eventually only provided the cultural battlefield of nationalism, was left as an unnoticed film in the realm of industry and criticism. However, it was interesting that there was a common ground between the film's supporters and the cynic critics. Both sides were being acknowledged that the spectacle of was way out of proportion to the degree that the spectacle was unbalanced with the story unfolding, achieved more than expected. Its spectacle overwhelming the narrative enfever a few audiences, and at the same time, it provided some reasons making critics face away from the film. In this context, the purpose of this study is to examine 's aesthetics that 'the spectacle dominating narrative' or 'the narrative as a pretext for showing spectacle,' leading to discussion of artistic/theoretical/critical value and to find out cinematic value of the film being regarded as a failure. In addition, this study is significant in that it suggests that is a new kind of moving image that it cannot be analyzed with existed critical methods of narrative film criticism; as a result, this study provides the chance to be evaluated through a new conceptual frame of the film. In order to grasp the narratological aesthetics, this study focuses on the concept of trickality that Andre Gaudreault suggests, and Tom Gunning's 'the cinema of attractions,' referring to the spectacle-oriented narrativity or the mode of production displaying the spectacle more than the narrative.
