Influence of Cultural Tourism Interpretation on Tourist Satisfaction -Focused on the Cultural Tourism Interpretation of Gyeongbokgung- (문화관광 해설이 관광자 만족에 미치는 영향 연구 -경복궁 문화관광해설을 중심으로-)

  • Current tourism is quickly transforming into experiential and insightful tourism from simple sightseeing tourism. Due to the experiential tourism trend, cultural interpretation of cultural tourism interpreter has a significant meaning in experiential tourism for tourist. This research was conducted on tourists visiting a representative palace of Korea, Gyeongbokgung, regarding how contents and communication skill of cultural tourism interpretation influence revisit intention of the tourists. As a result, value and interest of interpretation contents influence positive impact on tourist satisfaction. Second, progress and attitude of interpretation give positive influence on tourist satisfaction but not effective on communication with audience. Third, we found that tourist satisfaction influences positively on revisit intention. As the research result shows, both context and communication skill of interpretation are very important factors in cultural tourism interpretation. Therefore, the research emphasizes on government's suport on systematic management, treatment and position of cultural tourism interpreter retraining program.

  • Purpose - this research is to examine the relationship between Franchise's experiential value, lovemarks, respectful recognition, and brand loyalty focusing on the control variables. Control variables such as age, occupation, education, monthly income, and kinds of restaurant are included to measure influence on these as well. Research, design, data, and methodology - 500 questionnaires were distributed from June 10th to July 10th, 2017. 225 respondents were totally included in this analysis using SPSS and AMOS program. In order to test hypothesis, factor analysis and reliability verification firstly were employed, and then covariance structure analysis was used. Results - Empirical results are as followed. First, it can be mentioned that the esthetics of dessert cafe is analyzed to have a positive effect on the perception of love and respectful perception. Second, playfulness has a positive effect on perception of love. Third, respect perception has a positive effect on brand loyalty. When variables such as age, occupation, education, monthly income, and restaurant type were used as control variables, only monthly income had a significant effect on respect recognition. This shows that the control variable has a significant effect on the causal relationship of the variables. Conclusions - In summary, it can be stated that it is necessary for marketers to establish marketing strategies in order to boost customers' experiential value such as esthetics of franchise and also to strengthen lovemarks for respectful recognition and brand loyalty.

Needs Analysis of Experiential Learning Program for Eco-friendly School Farm Activation -Target of Teachers in Elementary School- (친환경 스쿨팜 활성화를 위한 체험학습용 프로그램 요구분석 -초등학교 교사를 대상으로-)

  • This research was conducted to analysis the Elementary School Teachers' needs necessary for developing the eco-friendly school farm program. To perform these research problems, 167 people from five Elementary School group (A, B, C, D and E). Of respondents of the survey, 160 questionnaires were significant. The frequency analysis was used with SPSS 17.0 statistics program. Teacher of the needs analysis results are as follows: Teachers want to help school farm program by gardening expert, experienced volunteer. Costs of instructor and material must be supported by the government, local government. Teachers are demanding an integrated program for horticulture. The teachers would have preferred an easy plant to grow and appear in textbooks. Therefore teachers' needs to be a convert-gence in the eco-friendly school farm program manual.

Predictors of Transition in the Stage of Change for Smoking Cessation of Male University Students (남자 대학생의 금연 변화 단계 이행에 대한 예측 요인)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify predictors of the stage of change for smoking cessation of male university students on the basis of the Transtheoretical model (TTM). Methods: The 388 current smokers or exsmokers who agreed to participate were recruited from three areas in Korea from August 2 to September 5, 2006. Data was analyzed using a SPSS program for descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and multiple logistic regression. Results: Most subjects (76.8%) were current smokers. According to stages of change, there were statistically significant differences in self efficacy, smoking temptation, decisional balance (cons, pros), and processes of change. The predictors of transition from contemplation to preparation were behavioral and experiential processes. The predictors of transition from preparation to action were pros of smoking and experiential process. The predictors of transition from action to maintenance were cons of smoking and behavioral process. Conclusion: Specific nursing interventions based on stages of change need to be developed for smoking cessation of male university students.

  • The each train operators in Korea have its own public railway safety campaign program but it is not systematic and repeated because of budget limitation. Continuous public casualties in railway transportation require that organized safety education program for the public. This paper analysed statistics of public casualties so that urgent subject occurring many times should be developed primarily as education program. Several foreign cases were investigated and characterized. Finally, a railway safety education program proposed. The program is designed to supply experiential learning, lecture and exhibition.

  • Virtual Reality (VR) is one of the core components of the fourth industrial revolution as a technology that makes the virtual world feel as if it is real. VR is being used in various fields such as entertainment, advertisement, education, medical care, training, sports, and tourism, as well as providing contents for such things as games and videos. Libraries are already looking for ways to utilize VR from various angles, such as operating experiential programs. The purpose of this thesis is to develop and propose a VR-based library user education program. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, we analyzed previous studies from a theoretical perspective to find a way to construct a user education program, and also to derive possible implications based on examples of countries such as the United States and Korea that are already introducing and applying VR technology to library services. Therefore, the user education program proposed in this study can be used as a basic building block when many libraries want to develop VR-based programs in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to describe the SW Convergence education class applying the Novel Engineering teaching method during the creative experiential activity time. We developed a SW convergence education program for a patriotism class applying Novel Engineering, a new educational method instead of writing and drawing. Through this lesson program, students can improve their problem-solving ability based on their computational thinking and enhance their love spirit about country. Students read a book that tells the story of patriot, writes the historical scene presented in the book through scenarios through Re-enactment, and implements the simulation situation using Lego WeDo 2.0. The results of this study based on the analysis of the data on the questionnaire showed that there is a significant students' change through the SW convergence education program for patriotism class. In the future, we will expand the scope to more various grades and subjects so that we can generalize the effectiveness of SW convergence education applying Novel Engineering.

  • This study was conducted to extract the student-centered experiential safety education activities in order to establish safety-experience-education-facilities based on "School safety education 7 standards" announced by the Ministry of Education in 2015. For this purpose, we established the concept of safety-experience-education-facilities, and conducted surveys twice targeting experts of each 7 fields based on the learned results of 758 sessions through "School safety education 7 standards". First, through the surveys, it was organized by 150 sessions out of 758 education class that extracted from safety-education-program sessions on experts, conducted a second expert survey for the validation of selected educational programs in Delphi format, the result of 5 sessions of the program is deleted, and 145 sessions was surveyed to be maintained. It was ascertained that 145 sessions of education program, 21 sessions of life safety area, 22 sessions of traffic safety area, 18 sessions of violence and personal safety area, 5 sessions of drugs and cyber addiction area, 36 sessions of disaster safety area, 10 sessions of occupation safety area, 33 sessions of first-aid area, is the experiential safety education activities that have to be applied to the safety-experience-education-facilities.

A Study on the Analysis of Effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program (『4-H청소년 서울현장체험학습』 프로그램의 효과 분석 -청소년인증수련활동 효과성 측정도구를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze effectiveness of 4-H Seoul Field-Experiential Learning Program(4-H SFELP). The effectiveness scale of youth accredited activity was applied to analyze the effectiveness and satisfaction of the program. After screening the data, 155 responses were used to analyze the data for this study. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of global leadership, initiative in exchange, and understanding other cultures which are related with effectiveness of youth exchange activity. Second, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of confidence, challenge spirit, achievement motivation, and collective leadership which are related with effectiveness of youth adventure and challenge activity. Third, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of problem-solving skills, morality, other-respect, and self-respect which are related with effectiveness of youth self-improvement activity. Fourth, 4-H SFELP has positive effects on the level of self-efficacy and autonomy but has not effects on the level of inquiring mind of participants. All these findings were discussed for youth workers and researchers.

Effectiveness of a Comprehensive Program for Children's Leadership Enhancement (아동의 리더십 증진을 위한 통합적 프로그램의 효과)

  • A comprehensive program for children's leadership improvement by enhancing their self-esteem, empathy, communication competence and emotion regulation utilized core concepts and techniques or the Solution-Focused Model of Chung et al. (2005), Satir's Experiential Model(Chung, 2003), Cognitive-Behavioral Model (Kim, 2002) and problem-solving games (Chung & Kim, 2005). Twenty-six $3^{rd}$, $4^{th}$, and $5^{th}$ graders from public schools in Seoul participated in six 2.5 hour sessions and their mothers participated in two 2.5 hour sessions. All subjects received pre-, post- and follow-up tests. The results showed that children's self-esteem, empathy, communication competence, and emotion regulation increased as a result of this program and the effects lasted for at least three months after the termination of the program.
