In recent decades, the research field of entrepreneurship phenomenon has significantly increased in both quantity and sophistication. In Vietnam, paradoxically, while creating a new business venture has become a tendency, the interest in studying entrepreneurs seems not to be thoroughly investigated. This research aims to evaluate the factors that affect the entrepreneurial intention of information technology (IT) students in Vietnam. The authors make use of mixed methods including both quantitative research method and qualitative research method. The qualitative research method is employed to identify meanings, confirmations, adjustments, and compliments for concept-measurement variables in the conceptual model. Quantitative research is conducted from a sample of 424 IT senior students across many universities in Vietnam. Questionnaires have been sent to students to evaluate the measurement scale and appropriateness of the research model. Results from multiple regression highlighted five independent variables affecting the dependent variable, the entrepreneurial intention, in a descending order as following: entrepreneurial educational environment, personal characteristics, perception of feasibility, entrepreneurial supports, and financial accessibility. In addition, this research has proved that the variable attitudes towards entrepreneurship partially mediated among the interrelationship of the aforementioned variables. From this research, the authors make some recommendations to enhance entrepreneurial intentions of IT students in Vietnam.

This paper empirically analyzed whether or not professional college students' Protean career attitudes affect entrepreneurial intention through employability and entrepreneurship, and whether or not they have practical training experiences can make a difference in such influence. For this reason, a questionnaire survey was conducted on about 240 students at specialized universities in Seoul and the Gyeonggi province for one month beginning on June 1, 2018. Of the 220 collected questionnaires, 214 parts in total were selected for final analysis, except for the 6 parts of the answer sheet which were not sure if there was a missing value or not. The main findings are as follows. First, it has been confirmed that the professional career attitude of Protean has influenced employability and entrepreneurial intention, but has not directly influenced entrepreneurial intention. Secondly, it has been confirmed that the employability and entrepreneurship have have a positive influence on the entrepreneurial intention. Thirdly, it has been confirmed that employability and entrepreneurship play a role as a fully mediated role in the relationship between the attitude of the Protean career and the entrepreneurial intention. Fourthly, considering the characteristics of the vocational college, there is no difference in the influence of employability and entrepreneurship on the entrepreneurial intentions, but the influence of the protean career attitude on employability and entrepreneuriship was different depending on whether or not they had the practical training experiences. The purpose of this study is to empirically identify the influence of social entrepreneurship on the formation of entrepreneurial motivation and entrepreneurial intention. In order to effectively achieve the purpose of the study, a research model and hypotheses are developed based on the results of a comprehensive review of relevant prior literature. The research model is set as social entrepreneurship including innovativeness, risk-taking, initiative, and social value orientation as independent variables, and entrepreneurship motivation is divided into intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. For the study, data were collected from a total of 114 social enterprise-related prospective entrepreneurs and early start-ups, and a research model and hypotheses analysis are conducted. The results of the empirical analysis are summarized as follows. First, all four components of social entrepreneurship were found to have a positive effect on intrinsic motivation. However, it is found that innovativeness and initiative among the components of social entrepreneurship has a positive effect on extrinsic motivation, whereas risk-taking and social value orientation has no significant effect on extrinsic motivation. Second, all four components of social entrepreneurship were found to have a positive effect on the entrepreneurial intention. Third, both intrinsic and extrinsic entrepreneurial motivation are found to have a positive effect on entrepreneurial intention. Finally, in the relationship between social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intention, both intrinsic and extrinsic entrepreneurial motivation are confirmed to have a positive mediating effect. This study specified the factors of social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship motivation that affect entrepreneurship awareness and behavior targeting social enterprises with differentiated characteristics from existing for-profit enterprises. And through an empirical analysis of the influence relationship between these factors, an attempt was made to derive academic and practical implications.
The purpose of study was to examine the entrepreneurial supporting policy and the entrepreneurship which can affect the entrepreneurial intention, and to prove the moderating effect of the business failure burden and the self-efficacy on the relationship of the entrepreneurial supporting policy, entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial intention through the empirical study in the fusion of industries. We used data from 321 survey participants by using structured questionnaires, excluding dishonest respondents, and statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 18.0 statistic package. We used hierarchical regression technique to prove our hypothesis. The results showed that education and marketing support which are part of the entrepreneurial supporting policy in the fusion of industries will have positive influence on innovativeness, pro-activeness and risk acceptability which are part of entrepreneurship. It has been reported that only funding support has positive influence on entrepreneurship pro-activeness. The results also indicated that the entrepreneurial supporting policy will have positive influence on the entrepreneurial intention, but business failure burden and self-efficacy will have no moderating effect in the relation between the entrepreneurial supporting policy and the entrepreneurship. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings were discussed and the directions for future research were presented.
