  • In the paper we establish some new results depending on the comparative growth properties of composite entire and meromorphic functions using relative $_pL^*$-order, relative $_pL^*$-lower order and differential monomials, differential polynomials generated by one of the factors.

  • Let h be a meromorphic function with few poles and zeros. By Nevanlinna's value distribution theory we prove some new properties on the polynomials in h with the coefficients being small functions of h. We prove that if f is a meromorphic function and if $f^m$ is identically a polynomial in h with the constant term not vanish identically, then f is a polynomial in h. As an application, we are able to find the entire solutions of the differential equation of the type $$f^n+P(f)=be^{sz}+Q(e^z)$$, where P(f) is a differential polynomial in f of degree at most n-1, and Q($e^z$) is a polynomial in $e^z$ of degree k $\leqslant$ max {n-1, s(n-1)/n} with small functions of $e^z$ as its coefficients.

  • The group of automorphisms of the first Weyl algebra acts on commuting ordinary differential operators with polynomial coefficient. In this paper we prove that for fixed generic spectral curve of genus two the set of orbits is infinite.

  • We study the uniqueness of meromorphic functions concerning nonlinear differential polynomials sharing a nonzero polynomial IM. Though the main concern of the paper is to improve a recent result of the present author [12], as a consequence of the main result we also generalize two recent results of X. M. Li and L. Gao [11].

  • In the paper, by virtue of the $Fa{\grave{a}}$ di Bruno formula, properties of the Bell polynomials of the second kind, and the Lah inversion formula, the author simplifies coefficients in a family of ordinary differential equations related to the generating function of the Mittag-Leffler polynomials.

  • We reconsider the problem of calssifying all classical orthogonal polynomial sequences which are solutions to a second-order differential equation of the form $$ \ell_2(x)y"(x) + \ell_1(x)y'(x) = \lambda_n y(x). $$ We first obtain new (algebraic) necessary and sufficient conditions on the coefficients $\ell_1(x)$ and $\ell_2(x)$ for the above differential equation to have orthogonal polynomial solutions. Using this result, we then obtain a complete classification of all classical orthogonal polynomials : up to a real linear change of variable, there are the six distinct orthogonal polynomial sets of Jacobi, Bessel, Laguerre, Hermite, twisted Hermite, and twisted Jacobi.cobi.

  • Finding a solution for the Legendre equation is difficult. Especially if it is as a part of the Laplace equation solving in the electric fields. In this paper, first a problem of the generalized differential transform method (GDTM) is solved by the Sturm-Liouville equation, then the Legendre equation is solved by using it. To continue, the approximate solution is compared with the nth-degree Legendre polynomial for obtaining the inner and outer potential of a sphere. This approximate is more accurate than the previous solutions, and is closer to an ideal potential in the intervals.

  • The paper has been devoted to study the uniqueness problem of meromorphic function and its linear differential polynomial sharing two values. We have pointed out gaps in one of the theorem due to [1]. We have further extended the corrected form of Chen-Li-Li's result which in turn extend the an earlier result of [8] in a large extent. In fact, we have subtly use the notion of weighted sharing of values in this particular section of literature which was unexplored till now. A handful number of examples have been provided by us pertinent to different discussions. Specially we have given an example to show that one condition in a theorem can not be dropped.
