SETS AND VALUE SHARING OF q-DIFFERENCES OF MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS

  • In this paper, we investigate uniqueness problems of certain types of $q$-difference polynomials, which improve some results in [20]. However, our proof is different from that in [20]. Moreover, we obtain a uniqueness result in the case where $q$-differences of two entire functions share values as well. This research also shows that there exist two sets, such that for a zero-order non-constant meromorphic function $f$ and a non-zero complex constant $q$, $E(S_j,f)=E(S_j,{\Delta}_qf)$ for $j=1,2$ imply $f(z)=t{\Delta}_qf$, where $t^n=1$. This gives a partial answer to a question of Gross concerning a zero order meromorphic function $f(z)$ and $t{\Delta}_qf$.

  • Let M be an N-function satisfies the ${\Delta}_2$-condition and let $O_M$ be the Orlicz space associated with M. Let $C(O_M)$ be the space of all continuous functions defined on the interval [0, T] with values in $O_M$. In this note, we define the analogue of Wiener measure $m^M_{\phi}$ on $C(O_M)$, establish the Wiener integration formulae for the cylinder functions on $C(O_M)$ and give some examples related to our formulae.

  • The aim of this paper is to introduce and study the sequence spaces [w, ${\theta}$, F, p, q]$_{\infty}({\Delta}_{\upsilon}^m)$, [w, ${\theta}$, F, p, q]$_1({\Delta}_{\upsilon}^m)$ and [w, ${\theta}$, F, p, q]$_0({\Delta}_{\upsilon}^m)$, which arise from the notions of generalized difference sequence space, lacunary convergence, invariant mean and a sequence of Moduli $F=(f_k)$. We establish some inclusion relations between these spaces under some conditions.

  • Let ${X_n : n=1,2,\cdots}$ be iid random variables with distribution $P_{\theta}, \theta \in H$ where $H$ is some abstract parameter space. We consider a sequential confidence interval I for the mean $\mu = \mu(\theta)$ of $P_{\theta}$ satisfying $P_{\theta}(\mu \in I) \geq 1-\alpha$ and $P_{\theta}(\mu-\delta(\mu) \in I) \leq \beta$ for all $\theta \in H$ for any given an imprecision real valued function $\delta(\mu) > 0$ and error probabilities $0 < \alpha, \beta < 1$. A one-sided sequential confidence interval is constructed under some restriction of the family {P_{\theta} : \theta \in H}$ and the imprecision function $\delta$. This is extended to the two-sided cases.

  • We evaluate the convolution sum $W_{a,b}(n):=\sum_{al+bm=n}{\sigma}(l){\sigma}(m)$ for (a, b) = (1, 28),(4, 7),(2, 7) for all positive integers n. We use a modular form approach. We also re-evaluate the known sums $W_{1,14}(n)$ and $W_{1,7}(n)$ with our method. We then use these evaluations to determine the number of representations of n by the octonary quadratic form $x^2_1+x^2_2+x^2_3+x^2_4+7(x^2_5+x^2_6+x^2_7+x^2_8)$. Finally we express the modular forms ${\Delta}_{4,7}(z)$, ${\Delta}_{4,14,1}(z)$ and ${\Delta}_{4,14,2}(z)$ (given in [10, 14]) as linear combinations of eta quotients.

SHARED VALUES AND BOREL EXCEPTIONAL VALUES FOR HIGH ORDER DIFFERENCE OPERATORS

  • In this paper, we investigate the high order difference counterpart of $Br{\ddot{u}}ck^{\prime}s$ conjecture, and we prove one result that for a transcendental entire function f of finite order, which has a Borel exceptional function a whose order is less than one, if ${\Delta}^nf$ and f share one small function d other than a CM, then f must be form of $f(z)=a+ce^{{\beta}z}$, where c and ${\beta}$ are two nonzero constants such that $\frac{d-{\Delta}^na}{d-a}=(e^{\beta}-1)^n$. This result extends Chen's result from the case of ${\sigma}(d)$ < 1 to the general case of ${\sigma}(d)$ < ${\sigma}(f)$.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concept of generalized double fuzzy semi-basically disconnected space and related notions such as (r, s)-generalized fuzzy semiopen-$F_{\sigma}$ sets, (r, s)-generalized fuzzy semiclosed-$G_{\delta}$ sets, generalized double fuzzy $semi^*$-open function, generalized double fuzzy $semi^*$-continuous function and generalized double fuzzy $semi^*$-irresolute function. Some interesting properties and characterizations of the concepts introduced are studied.

  • As a by-product of [4], we give algebraic integers of certain values of quotients of Weierstrass $\delta'(\tau),\delta'(\tau)$-functions. We also show that special values of elliptic functions are transcendental numbers.
