  • It is known that the classical Fatou's lemma and Lebesgue convergence theorem do not require the assumption that J1. is finite. In this note, we show that the assumption $\mu$(X) < $\infty$ cannot be replaced with a weaker assumption to prove Fatou's lemma and Lebesgue convergence theorem for a sequence of set-valued measurable function suggested by Zhang and Wang (Fuzzy Sets and Systems 56(1993) 237-241).

  • We introduce a new biharmonic kernel for the upper half plane, and then study the properties of its relevant potentials, such as the convergence in the mean and the boundary behavior. Among other things, we shall see that Fatou's theorem is valid for these potentials, so that the biharmonic Poisson kernel resembles the usual Poisson kernel for the upper half plane.

  • A convergence theorem for a generalized 𝜑-weakly contractive mapping is proved which satisfy a generalized contraction condition on a complete metrically convex metric space. The result in this paper generalizes the relevant results due to Rhoades [18], Alber and Guerre-Delabriere [1], Khan and Imdad [14], Xue [20] and others. An illustrative example is also furnished in support of our main result.

  • In this paper, we introduce the Kurzweil-Henstock-Pettis integral of fuzzy mappings in Banach spaces in terms of the Kurzweil-Henstock-Pettis integral of set-valued mappings and obtain some properties of the Kurzweil-Henstock-Pettis integral of fuzzy mappings in Banach spaces and the convergence theorem for Kurzweil-Henstock-Pettis integrable fuzzy mappings.

  • In this work, the three-step intermixed iteration for two finite families of nonlinear mappings is introduced. We prove a strong convergence theorem for approximating a common fixed point of a strict pseudo-contraction and strictly pseudononspreading mapping in a Hilbert space. Some additional results are obtained. Finally, a numerical example in a space of real numbers is also given and illustrated.

  • The well-known Vlasov-Poisson equation describes plasma physics as nonlinear first-order partial differential equations. Because of the nonlinear condition from the self consistency of the Vlasov-Poisson equation, many problems occur: the existence, the numerical solution, the convergence of the numerical solution, and so on. To solve the problems, a viscosity term (a second-order partial differential equation) is added. In a viscosity term, the Vlasov-Poisson equation changes into a parabolic equation like the Fokker-Planck equation. Therefore, the Schauder fixed point theorem and the classical results on parabolic equations can be used for analyzing the Vlasov-Poisson equation. The sequence and the convergence results are obtained from linearizing the Vlasove-Poisson equation by using a fixed point theorem and Gronwall's inequality. In numerical experiments, an implicit first-order scheme is used. The numerical results are tested using the changed viscosity terms.

  • In the present paper, we aim to obtain several approximation properties of Stancu form Szász-Mirakjan-Durrmeyer operators based on Bézier basis functions with shape parameter λ ∈ [-1, 1]. We estimate some auxiliary results such as moments and central moments. Then, we obtain the order of convergence in terms of the Lipschitz-type class functions and Peetre's K-functional. Further, we prove weighted approximation theorem and also Voronovskaya-type asymptotic theorem. Finally, to see the accuracy and effectiveness of discussed operators, we present comparison of the convergence of constructed operators to certain functions with some graphical illustrations under certain parameters.

  • In this paper we first give a simple proof of the analytic characterization theorems of the operator symbols by using the characterization theorem for white noise functionals. We next give a criterion for the convergence of operators on white noise functionals in terms of their symbols and then use this result to give a proof for the Fock expansion theorem of operators on white noise functionals.

  • In this paper we investigate a limit theorem for a non-statioary d-parameter array of associated random variables applying the criterion of the tightness condition in Donsker, M[1951]. Our re-sults imply an extension to the nonstatioary case of Convergence of Probability Measure of billingsley. P[1986]. and analogous results for the d-dimensional associated random measure. These results are also applied to show a new limit theorem for Poisson cluster random mea-sures.
