다공질규소를 이용한 MOPS 구조의 에탄올 감지 특성 (The sensing characteristics of MOPS structure based on porous silicon for ethanol gas)

  • To use the porous silicon as gas sensors, we made the MOPS structure from the porous silicon with Al evaporation and investigated the sensing characteristic of ethanol. When the MOPS structure is in contact with ethanol gas, the maximum peak of PL changes and it return to original intensity without contact. The MOPS structure had response time 0.78s and recovery time 4.13s when it is in contact with ethanol, which satisfied the required sensor standards. Further complimentary researches, however, are required to investigate the contact mechanism between MOPS structure and ethanol and to solve the surface contamination problem.

Study on failure mechanism of line contact structures of nuclear graphite

  • Line contact structures, such as the contact between graphite brick and graphite tenon, widely exist in high-temperature gas-cooled reactors. Due to the stress concentration effect, the line contact area is one of the dangerous positions prone to failure in the nuclear reactor core. In this paper, the failure mechanism of line contact structures composed of IG11 nuclear graphite column and brick were investigated by means of experiment and finite element simulation. It was found that the failure process mainly includes three stages: firstly, the damage accumulation in nuclear graphite material led to the characteristic yielding of the line contact structure, but no macroscopic failure can be observed at this stage; secondly, the stresses near the contact area met Mohr failure criterion, and a crack initiated and propagated laterally in the contact zone, that is, local macroscopic failure occurred at this stage; finally, a second crack initiated in the contact area and developed in to a Y-shape, resulting in the final failure of the structure. This study lays a foundation for the structural design and safety assessment of high-temperature gas-cooled reactors.

계층적 접촉 탐색방법을 이용한 박판성형 공정해석 (Sheet Forming Anlysis by Using Hierarchical Contact Searching Method)

  • A dynamic explicit finite element code for simulating sheet forming processes has been developed. The code utilizes the discrete Kirchhoff shell element and contact force is treated by a conventional penalty method. In order to reduce the computational cost, a new and robust contact searching algorithm has been developed and implemented into the code. In the method, a hierarchical structure of tool segments is built for each tool at the initial stage of the analysis. hierarchical structure is built in a way to divide a box to 8 sub-boxes, 2 in each direction, until the lowest level of the hierarchical structure contains exactly one segment of the tool or empty. Then at each time step, contact is checked from the box to sub-boxes hierarchically for each node. Comparisons of computational results of various examples with the existing ones show the validity of the method.

  • Metal-semiconductor contact is very important for the operating property of semiconductor detector. $Cd_{0.96}$ $Zn_{0.04}$ Te semiconductor crystal was grown with Bridgman method, and the crystal was cut and polished. EPMA (Electron Probe Micro Analyzer) and ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) analysis were done to obtain the chemical composition and impurity of the crystal. Metal contact was deposited with thermal evaporator on both sides of the crystal. Detectors with Au/CZT/Au and In/CZT/Au structure were made, and I-V curve and the energy spectrum were measured with the detectors. It could be seen that the detector with the In/CZT/Au structure has superior property than the detector with Au/CZT/Au structure when the crystal resistivity was low. However, the metal contact structure effect becomes low when the crystal resistivity was high.

  • We study (n+3)-dimensional contact three CR submanifolds of a Riemannian manifold with Sasakian three structure and investigate some characterizations of $S^{4r+3}$(a) $\times$ $S^{4s+3}$(b) ($a^2$$b^2$=1, 4(r + s) = n - 3) as a contact three CR sub manifold of a (4m+3)-dimensional unit sphere.

  • This paper describes a design method for the corner radius of a contacting body using the theoretical approach of contact mechanics. A complete contact, as in the case of a sharp-cornered punch, produces singular contact traction: whereas, in an incomplete contact, the singular contact traction disappears because of the rounded corners, and the contact edges are within the rounded regions. The design method aims to determine the conditions of the contact force as well as the material properties in an incomplete contact. The incomplete contact changes into the complete contact again when the contact edges exceed the rounded regions owing to either an increased contact force or the compliance of the materials. The contact length of a rounded punch is used as a parameter to derive the required conditions. As a result, a design formula is obtained, which provides a minimum allowable radius when the materials, normal contact force, and the length of a flat region of the punch are predetermined. This work consists of two parts: Part I includes a theoretical background, design method, and formula, and Part II describes the actual process with the investigation of design parameters.

In order to reduce the computational cost a new and robust contact searching algorithm has been developed and implemented into the code. in the method a hierarchical structure of tool segments called a tree structure is built for each tool at the initial stage of the analysis Tree is built in a way to divide a trunk to 8 sub-trunk 2 in each direction until the lowest level of the tree(leaf) contains exactly one segment of the tool. In order to have a well-balanced tree each box on each sub level contains one eighth of the segments. Then at each time step contact line from a node comes out of the surface of the tool. Simulation of various sheet forming processes were performed to verify the validity of the developed code with main focus on he usefulness of the developed contact searching algorithm.

A CLASSIFICATION RESULT AND CONTACT STRUCTURES IN ORIENTED CYCLIC 3-ORBIFOLDS

  • We prove every oriented compact cyclic 3-orbifold has a contact structure. There is another proof in the web by Daniel Herr in his uploaded thesis which depends on open book decompositions, ours is independent of that. We define overtwisted contact structures, tight contact structures and Lutz twist on oriented compact cyclic 3-orbifolds. We show that every contact structure in an oriented compact cyclic 3-orbifold contactified by our method is homotopic to an overtwisted structure with the overtwisted disc intersecting the singular locus of the orbifolds. In course of proving the above results we prove a classification result for compact oriented cyclic-3 orbifolds which has not been seen by us in literature before.

교차결합제 구조가 콘택트렌즈의 약물용출 및 항균효과에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Crosslinking Agent Structure on Drug Release and Antibacterial Effect of Contact Lenses)

  • 본 연구는 콘택트렌즈를 중합 시 사용하는 교차결합제의 구조가 콘택트렌즈의 물리적 특성 및 약물 용출에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 4종의 교차결합제를 0.3%와 3%를 각각 사용하여 콘택트렌즈를 제작하였으며 약물은 안약에 사용하는 ofloxacin을 사용하였다. 친수성 교차결합제를 사용한 콘택트렌즈는 함수율과 습윤성이 향상되었으며 친수성 작용기가 많을수록 효과가 크게 나타났다. 약물용출 농도는 친수성이 강한 교차결합제 사용 시 가장 높게 나타났으며 교차결합제의 농도가 높은 콘택트렌즈는 용출되는 약물 농도가 낮고 용출시간은 길어졌다. 콘택트렌즈의 교차결합제 구조는 콘택트렌즈의 성능 향상과 약물 방출조절에 영향을 주었다.
