A Study of the Factors that Impact Chinese Consumers' Purchasing Intent for High-Tech Products

  • Purpose - This objective of this study is to analyze the factors that impact Chinese consumers' purchasing intent for high-tech products. The study examines smart phones'features, Chinese personal consumer characteristics, and social influence. Research design, data, and methodology - The study employed survey data based on 200 questionnaires in principal Chinese cites between October and December 2011. SPSS 17.0 was employed to analyze the data used to test the hypotheses the analysis results confirmed some hypotheses proposed. Results - Hypothesis 1, Hypothesis 4, and Hypothesis 7 proposing that utilization, social image, and attractiveness, respectively, of smart phone elements influence the Chinese consumers' purchasing intent are supported. Conclusions - This study found the factors that impact purchasing intent for high-tech products among Chinese consumers, with some factors like social image, attractiveness, and utilization playing critical roles; however, hypotheses proposing factors such as ease of use, pleasantness, personal innovativeness, and compatibility were rejected. In future, more research focusing on the elements of smart phones is required.

  • It is usually that some people who did not plan to buy anything walk into e-mart, but walk out with something in hands. Obviously, these people were stimulated and the result is purchasing something maybe are not really needed. As a consumer, sometimes we are interested in what somebody else is using, and sometimes we cannot help trying a kind of new drink when we found many of people around are drinking it. In this paper, conformity psychology's effect in the advertisement will be checked in the hope of helping improve the advertisement effectiveness.

  • 본 연구에서는 새로운 패키징 기술 개발 방향을 정하기 위해서 먼저 미래사회로 가는 메가트렌들가 무엇이며 이들이 어떤 새로운 패키징기술을 요구할 것인가를 분석 예측하였다. 미래사회로 가는 주요 메가트렌드는 인구통계학적 트랜드, 사회학적 트렌드, 소비자들 트렌드, 패키징 주변과학기술의 발전 트렌드 및 정부의 정책 및 법규의 트렌드를 분석하였고 이들 트렌드가 요구하는 미래의 새로운 포장기술로는 Active/Passive 패키징기술, Intelligent Communication 패키징기술, Nanotechnology 패키징 기술, Universal Convenience 패키징 기술, Environmental Friendly 패키징기술과 Package Design기술로 예측되었다.

패션산업의 디자인 모방에 관한 연구 (A Qualitative Study on Design Copying of Fashion Industry)

  • Copying of designs has been condoned in the fashion industry. However, the industry argues that whether fashion design should be protected by law and what constitute design copying in fashion. This study has been performed by in-dept interviews with employees in the fashion industry. The study finds that respondents perceived copying of design to be some extent beneficial to the industry. While, they also observed that it has a negative effect on the industry due to indiscriminate copying. In regards to standard of drawing the line between copying and inspiration or modification, designers have subjective and discrepant standards. Fashion industry itself, consumer's biased preference, inefficient education and lack of legislation are significantly engaged in design copying.

국내 인터넷건강정보 자율규제방안 (Self-regulation of a Health Information On the Internet)

  • While making a vigorous discussion about self-regulation for exponential growth of harmful health information on the Internet, many countries lave made various efforts to select and circulate high quality health information on the Internet. The purpose of this study Is to review the serf-regulation methods of health information on the Internet and to suggest quality control methods of health information on the Internet suitable for Korea. Self-regulation methods of the health information on the Internet include ‘content rating system(or content selection system)’, ‘codes of conduct or guideline’, ‘internet hot-line’, ‘education for information providers and consumers’. Any self-regulation method should be used with other methods. We can regulate health information on the Internet effectively by using both self-regulation methods and compulsive methods such as law. Also information providers, information consumers, specialists, consumer representatives, scholars, governments officers should take part in doing these efforts and make concern.

  • Development of Environmentally conscious products in the electrical appliance industry is necessary not only for environmental law and green consumer but also for competitiveness by cost reduction. In this paper the current trends of evaluation tools are described. And practices in the development of environmentally conscious products are explained and improvement cases are presented by ways of design guides. The paper concludes with suggested future tasks which will need to be addressed in order that product designers can utilize the said tools effectively.

텔레비전 식품 광고에 관한 고찰 (Television Food Advertisement: Review and Recommendation)

  • Television food advertisement is the most effective way to reach to consumers with food and nutritional informations and affect their eating behavior. Therefore, 218 food commercials were reviewed using video tapes and copies to know the present food product trends, food messages they transmit and define misleading food commercials. Messages were focused on the benefit of health promoting substances they contain, especially for functional food components, fortified nutrients, food safety focused on food additives, convenience and differentiation with other products. Overnutrition on specific nutrients could be expected due to nutrient fortified products and misleading of food commercials were also noted. Regarding trends, guidelines provided by television broadcasting company shoud be fortified in the connection of Food Hygine Law and supervision committe should reinforce the food company to summit data for the approval of their advertisement claims. Nutrition educational spot program shoud be produced and broadcasted for the public to protect the consumer from food faddism in near future.

Study on Changes and Development Trends of the Trade Structure between Korea and China

  • The economic exchanges have become increasingly frequent between China and Korea and the average annual growth rate of the total trade volume has increased by 30% since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. With the rapid economic growth and industrial upgrading of China, there are changes in the investment of Korea in China and domestic demand of China, and the trade structure of Sino- Korea has changed a lot in recent years. The changes have mainly manifested in the following aspects, including the increased proportion of high-tech products, raw materials and the intra-industry trade, the decreased proportion of consumer goods, the inter-industry trade and the trade deficit of China. With the development of the situation of international economy, the scale of Korea and China trade will continue to expand and the structure of Korea and China trade will also keep on changing in the long run.

환자안전법상 ADR제도 적용을 위한 제언 (Suggestion for the Application of the ADR system under the Patient Safety Act)

  • In the past, there has not been a law with the main purpose of preventing or preventing a risk in advance in order to protect the safety of patients in relation to medical services. It is evaluated that the enactment of the Patient Safety Act has a very important meaning in protecting patient safety as the top priority and further improving the quality of medical care. However, looking at the status of patient safety accidents reported to the Patient Safety Reporting System after the Patient Safety Act was enacted and implemented, various types of risk factors for patient safety still exist in the medical field. Meanwhile, Korea Consumer Agency and Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency, the existing domestic ADR specialized agencies, have been operating reasonable damage relief procedures such as recommendation of settlement, mediation, and arbitration according to the purpose of their establishment. Therefore, with the aimof broadening the choice of compensation system for patients, we propose the establishment and revision of ADR-related laws to apply the damage relief procedures of both institutions.

ICRP 기준팬텀 기반의 천연방사성핵종이 포함된 가공제품 사용으로 인한 피폭선량 특성 평가 (Characteristic Evaluation of Exposed Dose with NORM added Consumer Product based on ICRP Reference Phantom)

  • 국내에서는 2012년 천연방사성핵종이 포함된 가공제품의 규제를 위해 생활주변방사선 안전관리법이 시행되었지만, 해당 가공제품 사용에 대한 인체 피폭선량을 평가할 수 있는 기초자료나 피폭선량 평가기술이 미비하다. 따라서 본 연구는 사용자 피폭선량을 정량적으로 평가하기 위한 방법을 제안하고, 방사선의 종류 및 에너지에 따른 피폭선량 특성의 확인을 목적으로 한다. 피폭선량 평가를 위해서 몬테칼로 방법을 사용한 Monte Carlo N-Particle Extended (MCNPX) 코드를 통해 International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP)의 기준팬텀이 전산모사 되었으며, 대표적 천연방사성핵종인 우라늄 계열에서 발생되는 알파선, 베타선, 감마선의 최소, 중간, 최대 에너지가 선원항으로 사용되었다. 연간 유효선량은 가공제품 사용시간 및 사용위치를 고려한 피폭시나리오를 기반으로 평가되었다. 짧은 비정의 알파선 및 베타선은 대부분의 선량을 피부에 전달한 반면, 감마선은 대부분의 장기에 유사한 선량을 전달하였다. 방사능이 $1Bq{\cdot}g^{-1}$ 인 돌침대에 포함된 천연방사성핵종의 함유율이 10%라고 가정하고 한국인 평균 수면시간인 7시간 50분간 돌침대를 사용하였을 때 최대 연간 유효선량은 알파선, 베타선, 감마선에 대해서 각각 0.0222, 0.0836, $0.0101mSv{\cdot}y^{-1}$로 평가되었다.
