  • We briefly review the $S^1$-equivariant cohomology theory of a finite dimensional compact oriented $S^1$-manifold and extend our discussion in infinite dimensional case.

  • In this paper we investigate the Artinianness of certain local cohomology modules $H^i_I(N)$ where N is a minimax module over a commutative Noetherian ring R and I is an ideal of R. Also, we characterize the set of attached prime ideals of $H^n_I(N)$, where n is the dimension of N.

  • In the present article, we describe specific elements in a motivic cohomology group $H^1_{\mathcal{M}}(Spec\mathbb{Q}({\zeta}_l),\;\mathbb{Z}(2))$ of cyclotomic fields, which generate a subgroup of finite index for an odd prime $l$. As $H^1_{\mathcal{M}}(Spec\mathbb{Q}({\zeta}_l),\;\mathbb{Z}(1))$ is identified with the group of units in the ring of integers in $\mathbb{Q}({\zeta}_l)$ and cyclotomic units generate a subgroup of finite index, these elements play similar roles in the motivic cohomology group.

  • Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring, I an ideal of R, M and N two R-modules. We characterize the least integer i such that $H^i_I(M,N)$ is not weakly Artinian by using the notion of weakly filter regular sequences. Also, a local-global principle for minimax generalized local cohomology modules is shown and the result generalizes the corresponding result for local cohomology modules.

  • Kanenobu has given infinite families of knots with the same HOMFLY polynomial invariant but distinct Alexander module structure. In this paper, we give a recursive formula for the Khovanov cohomology of all Kanenobu knots K(p, q), where p and q are integers. The result implies that the rank of the Khovanov cohomology of K(p, q) is an invariant of p + q. Our computation uses only the basic long exact sequence in knot homology and some results on homologically thin knots.

  • For a complex smooth projective surface M with an action of a finite cyclic group G we give a uniform proof of the isomorphism between the invariant $H^1(G,\;H^2(M,\;{\mathbb{Z}}))$ and the first cohomology of the divisors fixed by the action, using G-equivariant cohomology. This generalizes the main result of Bogomolov and Prokhorov [4].

  • In this paper, for discrete groups G and K, we show that the bounded cohomology group of $G{\times}K$ is isomorphic to the cohomology group of the complex of the projective tensor product $B^*(G){\hat{\otimes}}B^*(K)$, where $B^*(G)$ and $B^*(G)$ are the complexes of bounded cochains with real coefficients ${\mathbb{R}}$ of G and K, respectively.

  • We compute the second cohomology of the affine Lie algebra aff(1) on the dimensional real space with coefficients in the space ${\mathcal{D}}^n_{{\underline{\lambda}},{\mu}}$ of n-ary linear differential operators acting on weighted densities where ${\underline{\lambda}}=({\lambda}_1,{\ldots},{\lambda}_n)$. We explicitly give 2-cocycles spanning these cohomology.
