  • The purpose of this paper is to study harmonic univalent mappings defined in ${\Delta}=\{z:{\mid}z{\mid}>1\}$ that map ${\infty}$ to ${\infty}$. Some coefficient estimates are obtained in a normalized class of mappings.

  • In the present paper, we investigate the upper bounds on third order Hankel determinants for certain class of close-to-convex functions in the unit disk. Furthermore, we obtain estimates of the Zalcman coefficient functional for this class.

  • In simple and multiple regression, there is a difference in the meaning of regression coefficients, and not only are the estimates of regression coefficients different, but they also have different signs. Understanding the relative contribution of explanatory variables in a regression model is an important part of regression analysis. In a standardized regression model, the regression coefficient can be interpreted as the change in the response variable with respect to the standard deviation when the explanatory variable increases by the standard deviation in a situation where the values of the explanatory variables other than the corresponding explanatory variable are fixed. However, the size of the standardized regression coefficient is not a proper measure of the relative importance of each explanatory variable. In this paper, the estimator of the regression coefficient in multiple regression is expressed as a function of the correlation coefficient and the coefficient of determination. Furthermore, it is considered in terms of the effect of an additional explanatory variable and additional increase in the coefficient of determination. We also explore the relationship between estimates of regression coefficients and correlation coefficients in various plots. These results are specifically applied when there are two explanatory variables.

  • The purpose of the present paper is to introduce two novel subclasses $\mathcal{T}_{\mu}(n,{\lambda},{\alpha})$ and $\mathcal{H}_{\mu}(n,{\lambda},{\alpha};{\kappa})$ of analytic and univalent functions with negative coefficients, involving Ruscheweyh derivative operator. The various results investigated in this paper include coefficient estimates, distortion inequalities, radii of close-to-convexity, starlikenes, and convexity for the functions belonging to the class $\mathcal{T}_{\mu}(n,{\lambda},{\alpha})$. These results are then appropriately applied to derive similar geometrical properties for the other class $\mathcal{H}_{\mu}(n,{\lambda},{\alpha};{\kappa})$ of analytic and univalent functions. Relevant connections of these results with those in several earlier investigations are briefly indicated.

  • In this article, a subclass of univalent harmonic mapping is introduced by restricting its analytic part to lie in the class $S^{\delta}[{\alpha}]$, $0{\leq}{\alpha}<1$, $-{\infty}<{\delta}<{\infty}$ which has been introduced and studied by Kumar [17] (see also [20], [21], [22], [23]). Coefficient estimations, growth and distortion properties, area theorem and covering estimates of functions in the newly defined class have been established. Furthermore, we also found bound for the Bloch's constant for all functions in that family.

  • In this paper, we introduce and investigate a new subclass of bi-univalent functions defined by $S{\breve{a}}l{\breve{a}}gean$ q-calculus operator in the open disk ${\mathbb{U}}$. For functions belonging to the subclass, we obtain estimates on the first two Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients ${\mid}a_2{\mid}$ and ${\mid}a_3{\mid}$. Some consequences of the main results are also observed.

  • Studies in the evolutionary biology of aging require good estimates of the age-dependent mortality rate coefficient (one of the Gompertz parameters). In this paper we introduce an alternative algorithm for estimating this parameter. And we discuss the sensitivity of the estimates to changes in the other model parameters.

  • The present investigation is concerned with certain subclasses of alpha-convex functions with fixed point and defined with subordination in the unit disc E = {z :| z |< 1}. The estimates of the first four coefficients for the functions in these classes are obtained. The results due to various authors follow as special cases.

  • In a recent paper, Sakar and Güney introduced a new class of bi-close-to-convex functions and determined the estimates for the general Taylor-Maclaurin coefficients of functions therein. The main purpose of this note is to give a generalization of this class. Also we point out the proof by Sakar and Güney is incorrect and present a correct proof.
