Let B(X) denote the algebra of operators on a complex Banach space X, H(X) = {h ${\in}$ B(X) : h is hermitian}, and J(X) = {x ${\in}$ B(X) : x = $x_1$ + $ix_2$, $x_1$ and $x_2$ ${\in}$ H(X)}. Let ${\delta}_a$ ${\in}$ B(B(X)) denote the derivation ${\delta}_a$ = ax - xa. If J(X) is an algebra and ${\delta}_a^{-1}(0){\subseteq}{\delta}_{a^*}^{-1}(0)$ for some $a{\in}J(X)$, then ${\parallel}a{\parallel}{\leq}{\parallel}a-(x^*x-xx^*){\parallel}$ for all $x{\in}J(X){\cap}{\delta}_a^{-1}(0)$. The cases J(X) = B(H), the algebra of operators on a complex Hilbert space, and J(X) = $C_p$, the von Neumann-Schatten p-class, are considered.

In this paper, we study some classes of spaces determined by closure-like operators $[{\cdot}]_s$, $[{\cdot}]_c$ and $[{\cdot}]_k$ etc. which are wider than the class of $Fr{\acute{e}}chet-Urysohn$ spaces or the class of sequential spaces and related spaces. We first introduce a WADS space which is a generalization of a sequential space. We show that X is a WADS and k-space iff X is sequential and every WADS space is C-closed and obtained that every WADS and countably compact space is sequential as a corollary. We also show that every WAP and countably compact space is countably sequential and obtain that every WACP and countably compact space is sequential as a corollary. And we show that every WAP and weakly k-space is countably sequential and obtain that X is a WACP and weakly k-space iff X is sequential as a corollary.

We discuss contraction operators T in the class A, where A is the class of absolutely continuus contractions for which the Sz.-Nagy-Foias functional calculus is isometry. We obtain relationship between the class $A_{n, \aleph_0}$ and hereditary property $(\tilde{P}_n)$.

It is shown that for a general Haar shift operator, and a weight in the $A_2$ weight class, we establish the weighted norm estimate which linearly depends on $A_2$-characteristic $[w]_{A_2}$. Although the result is now well known, we introduce the new method, which is called the iterated Bellman function method, to provide the estimate.

In this work, it is shown that the combination of operational techniques and the use of the principle of quasi-monomiality can be a very useful tool for a more general insight into the theory of matrix polynomials and for their extension. We explore the formal properties of the operational rules to derive a number of properties of certain class of matrix polynomials and discuss the operational links with various known matrix polynomials.

In this paper, we investigate the weighted vector-valued bounds for a class of multilinear singular integral operators, and its commutators, from $L^{p_1}(l^{q_1};\;{\mathbb{R}}^n,\;w_1){\times}{\cdots}{\times}L^{p_m}(l^{q_m};\;{\mathbb{R}}^n,\;w_m)$ to $L^p(l^q;\;{\mathbb{R}}^n,\;{\nu}_{\vec{w}})$, with $p_1,{\cdots},p_m$, $q_1,{\cdots},q_m{\in}(1,\;{\infty})$, $1/p=1/p_1+{\cdots}+1/p_m$, $1/q=1/q_1+{\cdots}+1/q_m$ and ${\vec{w}}=(w_1,{\cdots},w_m)$ a multiple $A_{\vec{P}}$ weights. Our argument also leads to the weighted weak type endpoint estimates for the commutators. As applications, we obtain some new weighted estimates for the $Calder{\acute{o}}n$ commutator.

We will use a result of Farrell, Rubel and Shields to give sufficient conditions under which a Toeplitz operator with conjugate analytic symbol to be reflexive on Dirichlet-type spaces.

We establish a general theorem to approximate fixed points of quasicontractive operators on a normed space through the Noor iteration process with errors in the sense of Liu [9]. Our result generalizes and improves upon, among others, the corresponding result of Berinde [1].

In this paper, we study a generalization of the Banach space B($l_2$) of all bounded linear operators on $l_2$. Over this space, we present some reasonable ways to define Schatten-type classes which are generalizations of the classical Schatten classes of compact operators on $l_2$.

Let 𝜙 be an entire self map on ℂ and let 𝜓 be an entire function on ℂ. A weighted composition operator induced by 𝜙 with weight 𝜓 is given by C_𝜓,𝜙. In this paper we investigate under what conditions the weighted composition operators C_𝜓,𝜙 on the Fock space over ℂ induced by 𝜙 with weight of the form $k_c({\zeta})=e^{{\langle}{\zeta},c{\rangle}-{\frac{{\mid}c{\mid}^2}{2}}}$ is normaloid and essentially normaloid.
