In this paper, we introduce an extrapolated higher order characteristic finite element method to approximate solutions of nonlinear Sobolev equations with a convection term and we establish the higher order of convergence in the temporal and the spatial directions with respect to $L^2$ norm.

In the present study, we proposed a simulation model of vacuum booster with AMESIM software to predict the output characteristic. And we performed the sensitivity analysis of output characteristic with main design parameters, such as diaphragm diameter. All of these parameters are main design parameters in the procedure of vacuum booster design. The simulation results of this paper offer qualitative information of vacuum booster output. Therefore, the simulation results of this paper will be used effectively for the design procedure of vacuum booster in the industrial field.

We fabricate a bottom gate a-Si:H TFT on N-Type <100> Si wafer. According to the variation of gate and drain voltage, the hysteresis characteristic curves were measured experimentally. Also, we showed that the model predict the hysteresis characteristic successfully. Drain current on the hysteresis characteristic currie showed an exponential variation. Hysteresis area of TFT increased with the drain voltage increase and decreases with the drain voltage decrease.

A characteristic transport theory code CRX is developed and tested for cell and assembly calculations. Since the characteristic method treats explicitly (analytically) the streaming portion of the transport equation, CRX treats strong absorbers well and has no practical limitations placed on the geometry of the problem. To test the code, it was applied to three benchmark problems which consist of complex meshes and compared with other codes.

The purpose of this paper is study the sensitivity analysis of matrix game. Teh sensitivity analysis of matrix is classified into two types. Type one is to find the characteristic region of an element of the pay off matrix in which the value of the current optimal strategy remains as an optimum. Type two is to find that in which the basis of the current optimal strategy does not change. This paper shows the characteristic regions of basic and nonbasic strategies. Further it is found that the characteristic regions of type one and two are same in the case that the element is that of at least one player's nonbasic strategy.

In this paper, the dynamic characteristic according to variable load of Permanent magnet Linear Synchronous Motor(PMLSM) is dealt with carefully. And the experiment machine is manufactured for analysis of dynamic characteristic. The results of both simulation and experiment are discussed.

This paper deals the characteristic analysis of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) driven by single-pulse mode considering dc link voltage ripple. Two dimensional time-stepped Finite Element Method(FEM) is used to analyze the characteristic of SRM driven by single-pulse mode with dc link voltage ripple. The analysis results is verified by experimental test.

This paper deals with thrust characteristic by design parameter of linear synchronous reluctance motor(LSynRM). Mover of LSynRM used stator of linear induction machine. Design parameter being teeth width, teeth depth, airgap and displacement, we analyzed thrust characteristic on singleness or complex case. Also, we presented thrust characteristic using finite element method.

This paper presents a axial flux permanent magnet synchronous generator(AFPMSG), which is suitable for both vertical-axis and horizontal-axis wind turbine generation system. The design and construction features of the AFPMSG are reviewed. The characteristic analysis is performed such as cogging torque and e.m.f waveform, with the aid of a 3D finite element method. The experimental results confirm the characteristic analysis developed.
