  • Bounds for discrete Chebychev functionals that involve means of sequences of different lengths are investigated in the current article. Earlier bounds for the Chebychev functional involving sums of sequences of the same lengths are utilised in the current development. Weighted generalised Chebychev functionals are also examined.

  • We apply an Intermediate Problem Method to compute eigenvalues of an anharmonic oscillator. The method produces lower bounds to the eigenvalues while the Rayleigh-Ritz method yields upper bounds. We show the convergence rate of the Intermediate Problem Method is the same as the rate of the Rayleigh-Ritz method.

  • In the present investigation, we define two new subclasses of analytic and m-fold symmetric bi-univalent functions defined by a linear combination in the open unit disk U. Furthermore, for functions in each of the subclasses introduced here, we establish upper bounds for the initial coefficients ${\mid}a_{m+1}{\mid}$ and ${\mid}a_{2m+1}{\mid}$. Also, we indicate certain special cases for our results.

  • In this paper, we present new bounds on the fundamental units of real quadratic fields ${\mathbb{Q}}({\sqrt{d}})$ using the continued fraction expansion of the integral basis element of the field. Furthermore, we apply these bounds to Dirichlet's class number formula. Consequently, we provide computational advantages to estimate the class numbers of such fields. We also give some numerical examples.

  • We establish some Hessian comparison theorems and volume comparison theorems for Riemann-Finsler manifolds under various line radial integral curvature bounds. As their applications, we obtain some results on first eigenvalue, Gromov pre-compactness and generalized Myers theorem for Riemann-Finsler manifolds under suitable line radial integral curvature bounds. Our results are new even in the Riemannian case.

  • In this paper, we investigate harmonic univalent functions convex in the direction 𝜃, for 𝜃 ∈ [0, 𝜋). We find bounds for |fz(z)|, ${\mid}f_{\bar{z}}(z){\mid}$ and |f(z)|, as well as coefficient bounds on the series expansion of functions convex in a given direction.

  • By considering a certain univalent function that maps the unit disk 𝕌 onto a strip domain, we introduce new subclasses of analytic and p-valent functions and determine the coefficient bounds for functions belonging to these new classes. Relevant connections of some of the results obtained with those in earlier works are also provided.

  • In this article, we investigate the upper bounds on the coefficients for inverse of functions belongs to certain classes of univalent functions and in particular for the functions convex in one direction. Bounds on the Fekete-Szegö functional and third order Hankel determinant for these classes have also investigated.

  • In this paper we prove an even characteristic analogue of the result of Andrade on lower bounds for moment of quadratic Dirichlet L-functions in odd characteristic. We establish lower bounds for the moments of Dirichlet L-functions of characters defined by Hasse symbols in even characteristic.

  • In this article, we considered a class of nonlinear variational hemivariational inequality problems and investigated a gap function and regularized gap function for the problems. We discussed the global error bounds for such inequalities in terms of gap function and regularized gap functions by utilizing the Clarke generalized gradient, relaxed monotonicity, and relaxed Lipschitz continuous mappings. Finally, as applications, we addressed an application to non-stationary non-smooth semi-permeability problems.
