  • In this paper, we show that an unbounded $S_0$-demicompact linear operator T with respect to a bounded linear operator $S_0$, acting on a Banach space, can be characterized by the Kuratowskii measure of noncompactness. Moreover, some other quantities related to this measure provide sufficient conditions to the operator T to be $S_0$-demicompact. The obtained results are used to discuss the connection with Fredholm and upper Semi-Fredholm operators.

  • A bounded linear operator T on a complex Banach space X is said to have property (I) provided that T has Bishop's property (${\beta}$) and there exists an integer p > 0 such that for a closed subset F of ${\mathbb{C}}$ ${X_T}(F)={E_T}(F)=\bigcap_{{\lambda}{\in}{\mathbb{C}}{\backslash}F}(T-{\lambda})^PX$ for all closed sets $F{\subseteq}{\mathbb{C}}$, where $X_T$(F) denote the analytic spectral subspace and $E_T$(F) denote the algebraic spectral subspace of T. Easy examples are provided by normal operators and hyponormal operators in Hilbert spaces, and more generally, generalized scalar operators and subscalar operators in Banach spaces. In this paper, we prove that if T has property (I), then the quasi-nilpotent part $H_0$(T) of T is given by $$KerT^P=\{x{\in}X:r_T(x)=0\}={\bigcap_{{\lambda}{\neq}0}(T-{\lambda})^PX$$ for all sufficiently large integers p, where ${r_T(x)}=lim\;sup_{n{\rightarrow}{\infty}}{\parallel}T^nx{\parallel}^{\frac{1}{n}}$. We also prove that if T has property (I) and the spectrum ${\sigma}$(T) is finite, then T is algebraic. Finally, we prove that if $T{\in}L$(X) has property (I) and has decomposition property (${\delta}$) then T has a non-trivial invariant closed linear subspace.

  • For a closed densely defined linear operator T on a Hilbert space H, let ${\prod}$ denote the function which corresponds to T, the orthogonal projection from $H{\oplus}H$ onto the graph of T. We extend some ordinary norm ineqralites comparing ${\parallel}{\Pi}(A)-{\Pi}(B){\parallel}$ and ${\parallel}A-B{\parallel}$ to the Schatten p-norm where A and B are bounded operators on H.

  • The notion of asymptotically negative dependence for collection of random variables is generalized to a Hilbert space and the almost sure convergence for these H-valued random variables is obtained. The result is also applied to a linear process generated by H-valued asymptotically negatively dependent random variables.

  • Suppose { $X_{n}$}$_{n=1}$$^{\infty}$ sequence of finite dimensional Banach spaces and suppose that X is either a closed subspace of (equation omitted) or a closed subspace of (equation omitted) with p>2. We show that every bounded linear operator from X to a Banach space Y of cotype q(2$\leq$q〈p) is compact.t.t.

  • In this work, we establish Heisenberg-type uncertainty principle for the Bessel-Struve Fock space ${\mathbb{F}}_{\nu}$ associated to the Airy operator $L_{\nu}$. Next, we give an application of the theory of extremal function and reproducing kernel of Hilbert space, to establish the extremal function associated to a bounded linear operator $T:{\mathbb{F}}_{\nu}{\rightarrow}H$, where H be a Hilbert space. Furthermore, we come up with some results regarding the extremal functions, when T are difference operators.
