In these days, increase requirement of TEM (Transmission Electro Microscope) in not only scientific field but also industrial field. Because TEM can measure inner-structure of specimen a variety of materials like metal, bio. etc. When use TEM, specimen should be thin about 50nm. So making for thin specimen, use Ion milling device that include specimen holder. The holder generally made of Aluminium Aluminium holder is worn away easily. For this reason, using time of ion milling with aluminum holder is too short. To solve the problem, we replace aluminium holer to molybdenum alloy holder. In this paper, we design molybdenum alloy holer for CAM and modify CAD modeling for effective machining process. So we array a specimen 3 by 4 and setup orientation for one-shot machining process. Next we make a CAM program for machining. we making a decision two machining strategy that chose condition of tool-path method, step-down, step-over. etc. And then conduct machining using CNC milling machining center. To make clear difference between case.1 and case.2, we fixed machining conditions like feed-rate, main spindle rpm, etc. After machining, we confirm the condition of workpiece and analysis the problems case by case. Finally, case.2 work piece that superior than case.1 cutting with WEDM because that method can not ant mechanical effect on workpiece.

We successively fabricated the Ni metal mask by additive method and evaluated the effects of wetting agents addition on the microstructure, hardness, and friction coefficient. In the process, the additive patterns with fine hole and pitch were made by photolithography technique and subsequently Ni plate was electroformed on the patterns. We found that the microstructure and mechanical properties were significantly varied when the different combinations of the wetting agents were used. When the wetting agents of both SF-1 and SF-2 were added, the microstructure consisted of crystal and amorphous phases, the grain size reduced to 5-40 nm, the RMS value decreased to 11.4 nm and the wear resistance improved. In addition, the hardness was as high as 638 Hv which is higher than that of commercial stainless steel mask and this improvement is probably due to the presence of amorphous Phase and fine grain size. The improvement of the wear resistance can provide a higher reliability and a longer service life.

The convergence of artificial intelligence with smart factories or smart mechanical systems has been actively studied to maximize the efficiency and safety. Despite the high improvement of artificial neural networks, their application in the manufacturing industry has been difficult due to limitations in obtaining meaningful data from factories or mechanical systems. Accordingly, there have been active studies on manufacturing components with sensor integration allowing them to generate important data from themselves. Additive manufacturing enables the fabrication of a net shaped product with various materials including plastic, metal, or ceramic parts. With the principle of layer-by-layer adhesion of material, there has been active research to utilize this multi-step manufacturing process, such as changing the material at a certain step of adhesion or adding sensor components in the middle of the additive manufacturing process. Particularly for smart parts manufacturing, researchers have attempted to embed sensors or integrated circuit boards within a three-dimensional component during the additive manufacturing process. While most of the sensor embedding additive manufacturing was based on polymer material, there have also been studies on sensor integration within metal or ceramic materials. This study reviews the additive manufacturing technology for sensor integration into plastic, ceramic, and metal materials.

Recently a method of constructing architectural products using additive manufacturing technology has been proposed. The additive manufacturing technology automates the construction process and it can secure the safety of workers. In addition, due to the high implementation efficiency of atypical shapes, the applicability to the manufacturing process of buildings and infrastructure is drawing attention. Additive manufacturing technology has the ability of satisfying computer-based construction automation, resource management and construction period prediction which is required in the modern construction industry. However, the industrial application is still limited by insufficient data, standards, regulations, and operating methods. In this study, in order to analyze the applicability of architectural additive manufacturing technology, we manufacture each architectural product with two additive manufacturing systems. In addition, we apply an application of each building product into an appropriate manufacturing system through the AM production decision model. And identify problems in the manufacturing process through empirical experiments. As a result, we propose an extended additive production decision model to improve the quality of building products.

Tungsten is a high melting point metal unlike other steel materials, and it is difficult to manufacture because of its high melting temperature. In this study, pressure sintering process method was applied to manufacture the tungsten materials at low temperature. Therefore, it is necessary to densify the sintered material by using a sintering additive. Studies have been conducted on how the amount of titanium for sintering tungsten affects the mechanical properties of tungsten in this study. In order to secure the densification mechanism of tungsten powder during the sintering process, the characteristics of the sintered tungsten material according to the change of titanium content were evaluated. It was investigated the relationship between sintering parameters and mechanical properties for densification of microstructures. The sintered tungsten materials according to sintering additive content showed high sintered density (about 16.31g/cm3) and flexural strength (about 584 MPa) when the content of sintering additive was 3 wt%. However, as the content of the sintering additive increases, mechanical property of flexural strength is decreased, and the porosity is increased due to the heterogeneous sintering around titanium.

The enamel powders used traditionally in Korea are produced by a ball-milling process. Because of their irregular shapes, enamel powders exhibit poor flowability. Therefore, polygonal enamel powders are only used for handmade cloisonné crafts. In order to industrialize or automate the process of cloisonné crafts, it is essential to control the size and shape of the powder. In this study, the flowability of the enamel powders was improved using the spheroidization process, which employs the RF plasma treatment. In addition, a simple grid structure and logo were successfully produced using the additive manufacturing process (powder bed fusion), which utilizes spherical enamel powders. The additive manufacturing technology of spherical enamel powders is expected to be widely used in the field of cloisonné crafting in the future.
The characteristics and morphology of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) particles produced by carbonation process with various experimental conditions are investigated in this study. The crystal structures of PCC formed by carbonation process are calcite and aragonite. The crystal structure of PCC particles synthesized without adipic acid additive is calcite only, regardless of the reaction temperature. Needle-like shape aragonite phase started to form at reactor temperature of 80℃ with the adipic acid additive. Particle size of the single phase calcite PCC synthesized without adipic acid additive is about 1 ~ 3 ㎛, with homogenous distribution. The aragonite PCC also shows uniform size distribution. The reaction temperature and concentration of adipic acid additive do not show any significant effects on the particle size distribution. Aragonite phase grown to a large aspect ratio of needle-like shape showed relatively improved whiteness. The measured whiteness value of single calcite phase is about 95.95, while that of the mixture of calcite and aragonite is about 99.11.

Stochastic convexity (concavity) of a stochastic process is a very useful concept for various stochastic optimization problems. In this study we first establish stochastic convexity of a certain class of Markov additive processes through probabilistic construction based on the sample path approach. A Markov additive process is abtained by integrating a functional of the underlying Markov process with respect to time, and its stochastic convexity can be utilized to provide efficient methods for optimal design or optimal operation schedule wide range of stochastic systems. We also clarify the conditions for stochastic monotonicity of the Markov process. From the result it is shown that stachstic convexity can be used for the analysis of probabilitic models based on birth and death processes, which have very wide applications area. Finally we demonstrate the validity and usefulness of the theoretical results by developing efficient methods for the optimal replacement scheduling based on the stochastic convexity property.

This paper dealt with the LPS process for the development of high performance SiC materials, based on the detailed analysis of their microstructure and mechanical properties. The submicron SiC powder was used for the fabrication of LPS-SiC materials. A mixture of $Al_2O_3$ and $Y_2O_3$ particles was also used as a sintering additive in the LPS process. LPS-SiC materials were fabricated at different temperatures, using various additive composition ratio ($Al_2O_3/Y_2O_3$). The total amount of additive materials ($Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$) was fixed as 10 wt%. The characterization Of LPS-SiC materials was investigated by means of SEM, XRD and three point bending test. The LPS-SiC material represented a relative density of about 98 % and a flexural strength of about 800MPa, when it was fabricated at the temperature of $1820^{\circ}C$ and the additive compositional ratio of 1.5.
