The Relationship Between Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization, Personal Accomplishment, and Job Satisfaction: An Empirical Study in Saudi Arabia

  • The main aim of this investigation is to explore the relationships between emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment, and job satisfaction among employees working in the banking sector. A total of 214 respondents were surveyed for the purpose of this investigation and selected randomly from different banks located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (K.S.A.). Job Burnout Inventory developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) was taken into consideration to assess emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and sense of personal accomplishment, and job satisfaction scale was used to measure the degree of satisfaction level of the employees. The collected data were analyzed by means of descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The most eye-catching findings of the investigation revealed that emotional exhaustion had the greater mean as compared to depersonalization and personal accomplishment. The inverse significant correlation has been observed between emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and job satisfaction while positive and significant relationship was observed between personal accomplishment and job satisfaction. Further, the result of the investigation from regression test indicates that the relationship existed between emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment, and job satisfaction among employees working in the banking sector in the Kingdom.

한국과 중국 대학생의 물질주의성향과 의복태도에 관한 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Materialism and Clothing Attitudes of Korean and Chinese University Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the Korean and Chinese university students' materialism and clothing attitudes. Self-administered questionnaires developed by researcher were used and the research periods were from Feb. 20 to Mar. 19, 2003. 429 Korean and 405 Chinese students's data was used for analysis. Cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, t-test, and discriminant analysis were done. Korean students pursuited happiness more than utility and accomplishment, but Chinese students pursuited accomplishment more than happiness and practicality. The students were divided into the happiness pursuit, the utility pursuit, and the accomplishment pursuit. The group size of the utility pursuit and the happiness pursuit among Korean students and the utility pursuit and the accomplishment pursuit among Chinese students were larger. Korean students preferred fashionability, psychological dependence, sexual attraction of clothing more, but Chinese preferred conformity more. Utility and accomplishment of materialism, and fashionability and conformity of clothing were strong variables which discriminated Korean students from Chinese students, and total discriminating power was 77.1%.

지구 온난화 교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경적 태도와 환경적 지식 성취도에 미치는 효과 (Effect on the Environmental Attitude and Knowledge Accomplishment of Elementary Students by Educational Programs about Global Warming)

  • This research verifies the effect on environmental attitude and knowledge accomplishment by t-test as producing and running programs regarding global warming which is raised as a representative environmental issue subject to 6th grade-elementary students. For this, environmental education programs about global warming for elementary students are developed and applied 15 times by reconstituting classes based on the contents regarding global warming from the text books revised as of 7th course of study. The result is as below. First, some part of contents from social study and science of 6th grade elementary curriculum of 7th course of study was able to be reconstituted to 15 education programs. Secondly, the programs about global warming improved students' environmental attitude Application of the programs about global warming showed significant difference(p<.05) on building environmental attitude as it proved those are effective on both area of recognition level and practice level. The method used on the test had .866's Cronbach alpha modulus value therefore, it obtained reliability. Thirdly, the programs regarding global warming improved students' knowledge accomplishment. As a result of test for knowledge accomplishment which was executed with same method for attitude test, the application of the programs about global warming showed significant difference(p<.05) on improving students' knowledge accomplishment on the global warming therefore, it resulted that the application of the program is effective on knowledge acquirement.

협동학습이 가정과목의 학습성취도와 학습태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Cooperative Learning Method on Learning Accomplishment and Attitude of Home Economics)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze on the result of learning accomplishment and attitude between two groups to certify the application possibility of the cooperative learning method in home economics education. This inquiry was investigated by two classes 95 students. of the first glade in high school a commercial girl’s high school located in Anyang city of Kyonggi province, and then classified in a cooperative learning group and a traditional learning group respectively, then the 6th lessons progressed, and the difference of results of the learning accomplishment and the learning attitude according to each group was analysed with the post tests of the learning accomplishment and the learning attitude of two groups. The results of this study are summarized as follows. (1) Three subordinate positions, which are knowledge, understanding and application field of learning accomplishment between the cooperative learning group and the traditional learning group. it highly and the traditional learning group it highly showed in comparison with the traditional learning group. (2) There are not any statistically significant difference in the attention- concentration field of learning attitude between the cooperative learning and the traditional learning groups, but the cooperative learning group in the learning method and the self learning field highly showed.

항공사 객실 승무원의 정서적 조직몰입, 표면행동, 그리고 성취감의 관계 (Emotional Organizational Commitment, Surface Acting, and Personal Accomplishment among Flight Attendants)

  • This study testifies the proposition that in the case of high emotional organizational commitment, through employees perform surface acting, they feel high personal accomplishment. Data was collected from 158 flight attendants of two airlines in Korea. From the hierarchical regression analysis, we could conclude such as follows. First, emotional organizational commitment has a positive effect on surface acting. It means that because employees with high emotional organizational commitment accept organizational goals as theirs, they are willing to perform surface acting. Second, surface acting has a positive effect on personal accomplishment. It means that surface acting has a "positive" side as well as negative one. Third, according to above results, organizations should try to take measures to increase the emotional organizational commitment of flight attendants.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of stress on child care teachers' with relation to job turnover, occupational turnover and the moderating role of personal accomplishment. The subjects were 153 child care teachers in Gyeonggi-Do. Data was analyzed through Pearson's correlation, multiple regressions using the SPSS12.0. This study showed that work overload and administrative problems in child care centers were significant predictors of a teachers' intention to change their job. Also, the stresses of human relations such as with children or co-workers were significant predictors of a child care teachers' intention to change occupation. Personal accomplishment was suggested to reduce the negative results of work overload and stress.

A Study on Job Satisfaction by Medical Information System Accomplishment

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study is to investigate the success model related to the hospital information system accomplishment. It is important to examine the success model of the hospital information system and to analyze the factors affecting the job satisfaction accomplishment. Methods. The method of this study is to 150 copies of the entire survey data were distributed and 135 copies were collected, showing a collection rate of 90%. In order to ensure the reliability of the questionnaire items, Cronbach's Alpha was used to test reliability, and exploratory factor analysis was conducted to determine the convergence of various items. In order to grasp the convergence of various items, exploratory factor analysis was performed. The results of exploratory factor analysis were used to analyze the correlations between variables that were proven to have a single dimensionality before calculating factor loadings and regression analysis by Orthogonal Rotation by Varimax method Results. The results of this study, first, the system quality of the hospital information system has a statistically significant effect on user satisfaction. Second, the information quality of hospital information system is statistically significant for user satisfaction, indicating that information quality improves user satisfaction. Third, service quality of hospital information system was statistically significant in user satisfaction. Finally, the higher the satisfaction of the users who use the hospital information system, the higher the accomplishment of the organization Conclusions. This study is based on the successful model of D & M information system. In addition, the hospital information system, the user satisfaction, and the organizational accomplishment in connection with it can be found significant.

수상인명구조 교육 참여 대학생들의 목표지향, 몰입경험 및 자아성취감에 관계된 요인 (Relationship of Goal Orientation, Flow Experience and Self-Accomplishment among College Students Receiving Lifeguard Education)

  • 본 연구는 수상인명구조원 교육 참여 대학생들의 목표지향, 몰입경험 및 자아성취감에 관계된 요인을 파악하기 위해 시도하였다. 첫째, 수상인명구조원 교육 참여 대학생들의 목표지향 중 과제관여는 인지몰입과 행동몰입에 자아관여는 인지몰입에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 수상인명구조원 교육 참여 대학생들의 목표지향의 하위변인인 과제관여는 자아성취감의 자아실현, 능력발휘, 능력개발에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 자아관여는 자아실현에 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 수상인명구조원 교육 참여 대학생들의 몰입경험의 하위변인인 인지몰입과 행위몰입은 자아성취감의 자아실현, 능력발휘, 능력개발에 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 수상인명구조원 교육 참여 대학생들의 목표지향은 몰입경험과 자아성취감에는 직접적인 관계, 몰입경험을 매개로 자아성취감에 간접적인 인과적 관계가 있다. 이러한 결과들로 보아 수상인명구조원 교육을 주관하는 단체에서는 프로그램 개발을 통하여 자발적으로 교육에 참여하는 교육생들에게 양질의 체계적인 실무 훈련 교육을 통해 인명구조에 대한 자신감 및 교육의 효과를 얻을 것으로 사료된다.

부모의 성취압력 및 진로지도가 아동의 진로발달에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Parent's Accomplishment Pressure and Career Guidance on Children's Career Development)

  • 본 연구는 진로인식 단계에 있는 초등학생 5학년 59명을 대상으로 부모의 성취 압력 및 진로지도가 아동의 진로 발달에 미치는 영향을 연구하여 초등학교 아동의 진로발달 과정을 이해하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적에 따라 부모의 성취압력과 진로지도가 진로발달에 어떠한 설명력을 갖는지 알아보는 것을 연구문제로 설정하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 부모의 성취압력, 진로지도와 아동의 진로발달 간에는 유의미한 상관이 있었다. 부모의 성취압력과 진로발달은 정적 상관관계를 보였으며, 진로발달의 하위 영역인 직업의 이해, 자기이해, 자율성과도 정적 상관이 있었다 또한, 진로지도와 아동의 진로발달역시 유의미한 상관관계가 있었다. 부모의 진로지도 하위 영역 중 정서적 지지를 제외한 영역들은 진로발 달 하위 영역과 유의미한 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 부모의 성취압력은 초등학교 아동의 진로발달을 설명하는 유의미한 변인이었다 부모의 성취압력은 직업선택의 합리성, 직업적 성 편견, 자긍심에는 의미 있는 설명력을 보이지 못했지만, 진로발달 총점, 진로지향성, 직업의 이해, 자기이해, 자율성을 유의미하게 설명하였다. 셋째, 부모의 진로지도는 초등학교 아동의 진로발달에 부모의 성취압력과 더불어 추가적인 설명력을 보였다. 하지만 진로지도의 하위 영역인 정서적 지지는 진로발달에 부적 상관을 보였다.

간호학생의 성과기반교육 달성도에 미치는 영향 (The Influences of Accomplishment of Outcome-based Education in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호학생의 성과기반교육 달성도에 영향 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위해 364명의 간호학생을 대상으로 의사소통능력, 비판적 사고성향, 셀프리더십, 연구능력, 성과기반교육 달성도로 구성된 자가보고 질문지로 자료를 수집하였다. 간호학생의 성과기반교육 달성도는 학년, 성과기반교육 이해도 및 만족도, 임상실습 경험여부에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 성과기반교육 달성도는 의사소통능력, 비판적 사고성향, 셀프리더십, 연구능력과 양의 상관관계로 나타났다. 간호학생의 성과기반교육 달성도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 성과기반교육 만족도(${\beta}=0.33$, p<0.001), 셀프리더십(${\beta}=0.21$, p<0.001), 연구능력(${\beta}=0.18$, p<0.001), 비판적 사고성향(${\beta}=0.17$, p=0.003), 의사소통능력(${\beta}=0.14$, p=0.006), 임상실습 경험(${\beta}=0.10$, p=0.023)의 순으로 나타났으며, 성과기반교육 달성도에 대한 이들 변수의 총 설명력은 38.1%였다. 성과기반교육의 달성도를 높이기 위해 셀프리더십, 연구능력, 비판적 사고성향 및 의사소통능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 교과 및 비교과 활동 전략을 개발하고 운영해야 할 것이다.
