  • Antoine showed that the properties of Armendariz and NI are independent of each other. The study of Armendariz and NI rings has been doing important roles in the research of zero-divisors in noncommutative ring theory. In this article we concern a new class of rings which generalizes both Armendariz and NI rings. The structure of such sort of ring is investigated in relation with near concepts and ordinary ring extensions. Necessary examples are examined in the procedure.

  • In this paper, we form the basis of the abstract theory for constructing the $K{\ddot{u}}nneth$ spectral sequence for a complex of Banach spaces. As the category of Banach spaces is not abelian, several difficulties occur and hinder us from applying the usual method of homological algebra directly. The most notable facts are the image of a morphism of Banach spaces is not necessarily a Banach space, and also the closed summand of a Banach space need not be a topological direct summand. So, we consider some conditions and categorical terms that fit the category of Banach spaces to modify the familiar method of homological algebra.

  • A ring R is called (left principally) quasi-Baer if the left annihilator of every (principal) left ideal of R is generated by an idempotent. Let R be a ring, G be an ordered monoid acting on R by $\beta$ and R be G-compatible. It is shown that R is (left principally) quasi-Baer if and only if skew monoid ring $R_{\beta}[G]$ is (left principally) quasi-Baer. If G is an abelian monoid, then R is (left principally) quasi-Baer if and only if the Cohn-Jordan extension $A(R,\;\beta)$ is (left principally) quasi-Baer if and only if left Ore quotient ring $G^{-1}R_{\beta}[G]$ is (left principally) quasi-Baer.

  • We make a study of two generalizations of regular rings, concentrating our attention on the structure of idempotents. A ring R is said to be right attaching-idempotent if for $a{\in}R$ there exists $0{\neq}b{\in}R$ such that ab is an idempotent. Next R is said to be generalized regular if for $0{\neq}a{\in}R$ there exist nonzero $b{\in}R$ such that ab is a nonzero idempotent. It is first checked that generalized regular is left-right symmetric but right attaching-idempotent is not. The generalized regularity is shown to be a Morita invariant property. More structural properties of these two concepts are also investigated.

  • A knot complement admits a pseudo-hyperbolic structure by solving Thurston's gluing equations for an octahedral decomposition. It is known that a solution to these equations can be described in terms of region variables, also called w-variables. In this paper, we consider the case when pinched octahedra appear as a boundary parabolic solution in this decomposition. The w-solution with pinched octahedra induces a solution for a new knot obtained by changing the crossing or inserting a tangle at the pinched place. We discuss this phenomenon with corresponding holonomy representations and give some examples including ones obtained from connected sum.

  • Let $F_0$ be the maximal real subfield of $\mathbb{Q}({\zeta}_q+{\zeta}_q^{-1})$ and $F_{\infty}={\cup}_{n{\geq}0}F_n$ be its basic $\mathbb{Z}_p$-extension. Let $A_n$ be the Sylow $p$-subgroup of the ideal class group of $F_n$. The aim of this paper is to examine the injectivity of the natural $mapA_n{\rightarrow}A_m$ induced by the inclusion $F_n{\rightarrow}F_m$ when $m>n{\geq}0$. By using cyclotomic units of $F_n$ and by applying cohomology theory, one gets the following result: If $p$ does not divide the order of $A_1$, then $A_n{\rightarrow}A_m$ is injective for all $m>n{\geq}0$.

  • A ring R is called weakly semicommutative ring if for any a, $b{\in}R^*$ = R\{0} with ab = 0, there exists $n{\geq}1$ such that either an $a^n{\neq}0$ and $a^nRb=0$ or $b^n{\neq}0$ and $aRb^n=0$. In this paper, many properties of weakly semicommutative rings are introduced, some known results are extended. Especially, we show that a ring R is a strongly regular ring if and only if R is a left SF-ring and weakly semicommutative ring.

  • Over an additive abelian group G of order g and for a given positive integer $\lambda$, a generalized Hadamard matrix GH(g, $\lambda$) is defined as a gλ$\times$gλ matrix[h(i, j)], where 1 $\leq i \leqg\lambda and 1 \leqj \leqg\lambda$, such that every element of G appears exactly $\lambd$atimes in the list h($i_1, 1) -h(i_2, 1), h(i_1, 2)-h(i_2, 2), …, h(i_1, g\lambda) -h(i_2, g\lambda), for any i_1\neqi_2$. In this paper, we propose a new method of expanding a GH(g^m, \lambda_1) = B = [B_{ij}] over G^m$ by replacing each of its m-tuple B_{ij} with B_{ij} + GH(g, $\lambda_2) where m = g\lambda_2. We may use g^m/\lambda_1 (not necessarily all distinct) GH(g, \lambda_2$)s for the substitution and the resulting matrix is defined over the group of order g.

  • Let F be a finite real abelian extension of a global function field k with G = Gal(F/k). Assume that F is an extension field of the Hilbert class field $K_e$ of k and is contained in a cyclotomic function field $K_n$. Let $\ell$ be any prime number not dividing $ph_k{\mid}G{\mid}$. In this paper, we show that if $\theta{\in}\mathbb{Z}[G]$ annihilates the Sylow $\ell$-subgroup of ${\mathcal{O}}^{\times}_F/{\mathcal{C}}_F$, then (q-1)$\theta$ annihilates the Sylow $\ell$-subgroup of ${\mathcal{Cl}}_F$.

  • In this paper, we study the $BP_*$-module structure of $BP_*$(BG) mod $(p,v_1,{\cdots})^2$ for non abelian groups of the order $p^3$. We know $grBP_*(BG)=BP_*{\otimes}H(H_*(BG);Q_1){\oplus}BP^*/(p,v_1){\otimes}ImQ_1$. The similar fact occurs for $BP_*$-homology $grBP_*(BG)=BP_*s^{-1}H(H_*(BG);Q_1){\oplus}BP_*/(p,v)s^{-1}H^{odd}(BG)$ by using the spectral sequence $E^{*,*}_2=Ext_{BP^*}(BP_*(BG),BP^*){\Rightarrow}BP^*(BG)$.
