  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the dietary behavior, dietary intakes and internet searches regarding diseas by college students participating in a nutrition education web class. The study subject were 1184 college students and crosssectional survey was conducted by a self-administered questionnaire. The questionnaire deal with anthropometric data, diseas, dietary behaviors, dietary intakes, and the use of nutrition information via the internet. The data was analyzed using a SPSS PC program. Disease group was 19.6% (male: 17.1%, female: 21.9%) and non-disease group was 80.4% (male: 82.9%, female: 78.1%) of subjects. As for the kinds of diseas, the male disease group had stomach diseas (15.7%), ozena (15.7%), hepatitis (10.8%) and allergic disease (7.8%), etc, and the female disease group had stomach diseas (32.8%), allergic diseas (12.0%), bronchitis and bronchial asthma (10.4%), anemia (7.2%), and constipation (1.6%), etc. Non-disease group showed significantly higher irregularity of meal time compared to disease group. Also, Disease group showed significantly higher concern about nutrition and health, worse recognition of theirown nutrition and health satus, and made greater efforts to prevention diseas compared to the non-diseas group. In the male subjects, the average intake of Calories, Vitamin $B_2$ and calcium was lower than the Korean RDA and in the female subjects, those of Calories, calcium and Fe were lower than the Korean RDA. Most of the diseas (97%) and the non-disease (98.2%) groups had positive attituds toward the usefulness of internet nutrition information. The disease group showed a higher confidence in the internet nutrition information and recognition of internet information on poisons compared to the non-diseas group. However, this difference was not significant. Therefore. it is necessary to provide sientifically proven nutrition of information via the internet for college students in order to promote healthful lifestyles and to prevent diseas.

  • As cyber threats have been increased over the Internet, the invasions of personal information are constantly occurring. A malicious user can access the Web site as a normal user using leaked personal information and does illegal activities. This paper proposes an effective method which authenticates a genuine user with real-time. The method use the user's profile which is a record of user's behavior created by Membership Analysis(MA) and Markov Chain Model(MCM). In addition to, user's profile is augmented by a Time Weight(TW) which reflects the user's tendency. This method can detect a malicious user who camouflage normal user. Even if it is a genuine user, it can be determined as an abnomal user if the user acts beyond the record profile. The result of experiment showed a high accuracy, 96%, for the correct user.

  • The present study examines the role of subjectively perceived factors of the attitude toward web shopping in forming an intention to use a web shopping intention. An integrative research model is presented and tested empirically. It includes the following three aspects of belief in Davis' TAM: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment. Specially, internet self-efficacy, or the belief in one's capabilities to organize and execute courses of Internet actions required to produce given attainments, is a potentially important factor in efforts to gain more favorable attitude toward web shopping close the digital divide that separates experienced Internet users from novices. Prior research on Internet self-efficacy has been limited to examining specific task performance and narrow behavioral domains rather than overall attainments in relation to general Internet use, and has not yielded evidence of reliability and construct validity. Survey data were collected to develop a reliable operational measure of Internet self-efficacy and to examine its construct validity. Also, much previous research has established that perceived ease of use is an important factor influencing user acceptance and usage behavior of information technologies. However, very little research has been conducted to understand how that perception forms and changes over time. The present study examines that higher internet self-efficacy is more getting favorable web shopping attitude, and web shopping intention as more as usefulness, enjoyment through the internet.

  • With the widespread use of digital devices, anonymous communication technologies such as the dark web and deep web are becoming increasingly popular for criminal activity. Because these technologies leave little local data on the device, they are difficult to track using conventional crime investigation techniques. The United States and the United Kingdom have enacted laws and developed systems to address this issue, but South Korea has not yet taken any significant steps. This paper proposes a new blockchain-based crime investigation method that uses physical memory data analysis to track the behavior of anonymous network users. The proposed method minimizes infringement of basic rights by only collecting physical memory data from the device of the suspected user and storing the tracking information on a blockchain, which is tamper-proof and transparent. The paper evaluates the effectiveness of the proposed method using a simulation environment and finds that it can track the behavior of dark website users with a residual rate of 77.2%.

  • The development of the Internet has influenced consumers' information search process and purchase behaviors. The environmental changes and consumers' lifestyle changes have stimulated them to use the Internet shopping mall. However, people used to shop the low-involvement product rather than high-involvement product such as clothing product at the internet shopping mall due to the subjects' perceived risks or product characteristics. The purpose of this study is to examine the differences of consumers' attitudes toward the two types of apparel internet shopping mall. With compared to the existing shopping mall, this study generated Web3D internet shopping mall by designing Abata, representing the user's body figure. The changes of respondents' attitudes toward the internet shopping mall and purchase intentions would provide the possibility and future direction of the Web3D internet shopping. Recommendations and future research were also discussed.

  • In order to help the understanding of web novel users, this study was intended to quantitatively verify the user's behavioral types according to the characteristics of web novels. For this purpose, the direction of the study proceeded as follows. First, the motives of web novel users were investigated by referring to the motives of other digital content users. In addition, specific behavioral types of users were also collected. As a result, the motivation for using web novels was found to be 'interpersonal relationships and information acquisition with others', 'leisure activities', and 'escape from reality/relieve tension'. After that, the groups were classified as to whether there was a difference between groups according to the motives of use. As a result, the 'hobbies' type, a group with a particularly high motivation for using leisure activities, the 'stress relief' type, a group with very high escapism and tension relief characteristics, and a group with high interpersonal relationships and information acquisition with others The 'communication' type was classified as a 'multipurpose' type with high overall motivation characteristics. Then, in order to find out the specific characteristics between the types, personas were constructed based on the different behavior type data. Through this, the theoretical contribution of this study is meaningful in that it revealed the motives of web novel users. As a practical contribution, the persona was formed by combining the users' motives and behavioral patterns and visualized to be close to the actual representative users. These results are expected to help improve the web novel service by providing useful indicators for actual writers, platform managers, and users.

  • This study aims to propose educational information services for social science teachers by analyzing their information seeking behaviors. The author carried out in-depth interviews with thirteen social science teachers in Daejeon and analyzed them using an information seeking behavior model of Leckie, Pettigrew and Sylvain. The study results showed that information needs of social science teachers arise from extrinsic and intrinsic motivations according to their work roles and tasks. Also, the characteristics of information needs such as repeatability, predictability, urgency, and complexity appear to influence information seeking behaviors. The participants used various information sources including web, book, and interpersonal sources. Moreover, the study observed some factors that may influence perception toward information sources such as trustworthiness, information quality, packaging, prior success experience. Finally, the perception change and use frequency of information sources were also identified. Based on these findings, the author proposed information services for social science teachers including integrated information provision services, information literacy programs, networking services and readers advisory services.

  • In spite of recent increase in the use of avatar systems in Web and Virtual Reality, there has not been a service that allows users to control directly the avatar behaviors. In addition, the conventional behavior control languages required a lot of complicated information for controlling the behaviors, so that users had difficulty using them. To apply written languages to a different task domain, moreover, it was necessary to modify or rewrite the languages. In this paper, for the avatar behavior control more simply define, “Task-Level Behavior Description Language,” which allows description the avatar behaviors in each task domain and “Motion Representation Language,” which enables writing detailed data for motion control. The system, developed in this paper, “included an Interpreter,” which automatically creates the Motion Representation Language, allowing users to easily control the avatar behaviors simply with the Behavior Description Language. The system was also applied to cyber classes, and the Task-level Behavior Description Language was compared with conventional languages to see how it was more effective in behavior description.
