  • In this paper, we give some new definitions of D-metric spaces and we prove a common fixed point theorem for a class of mappings under the condition of weakly compatible mappings in complete D-metric spaces. We get some improved versions of several fixed point theorems in complete D-metric spaces.

  • In this paper, we introduce new types of weakly Picard operators being available to a much wider class of maps, and prove common fixed point theorems of Subrahmanyam type for two these weakly Picard operators in the collection of single-valued and multi-valued mappings in complete metric spaces. Our results extend and generalize the corresponding fixed point theorems in the literature [3, 6].

  • Some function of a complete finite measure space (for short, CFMS) into the duals and pre-duals of weakly compactly generated (for short, WCG) spaces are considered. We shall show that a universally weakly measurable function f of a CFMS into the dual of a WCG space has RS property and bounded weakly measurable functions of a CFMS into the pre-duals of WCG spaces are always Pettis integrable.

  • In this paper, we give an upper bound for the fundamental tone of stable constant mean curvature hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space. Let M be an n-dimensional complete non-compact constant mean curvature hypersurface with finite L2-norm of the traceless second fundamental form. If M is weakly stable, then λ1(M) is bounded above by n2 + O(n2+s) for arbitrary s > 0.

  • In this paper, we first prove a common fixed point theorem for generalized nonlinear contraction mappings in complete metric spaces there by generalizing and extending some known results. Then we present this result in the context of ordered metric spaces by using monotone non-decreasing mapping.

  • A convergence theorem for a generalized 𝜑-weakly contractive mapping is proved which satisfy a generalized contraction condition on a complete metrically convex metric space. The result in this paper generalizes the relevant results due to Rhoades [18], Alber and Guerre-Delabriere [1], Khan and Imdad [14], Xue [20] and others. An illustrative example is also furnished in support of our main result.
