The purpose of this study is to examine to what extent the context in which people interact with online information affects people's credibility perceptions. In this study, credibility assessment is defined as perceptions of credibility relying on individuals' expertise and knowledge. Context has been characterized with respect to three aspects: Context as user goals and intentions, context as topicality of information, and context as information activities. The data were collected from two empirical studies. Study 1 was a diary study in which 333 residents in Michigan, U.S.A. submitted 2,471 diary entries to report their trust perceptions associated with ten different user goals and nine different intentions. Study 2 was a lab-based study in which 64 subjects participated in performing four search tasks in two different information activity conditions - information search or content creation. There are three major findings of this study: (1) Score-based trust perceptions provided limited views of people's credibility perceptions because respondents tended to score trust ratings consistently high across various user goals and intentions; (2) The topicality of information mattered more when study subjects assessed the credibility of user generated content (UGC) than with traditional media content (TMC); (3) Subjects of this study exerted more effort into making credibility judgments when they engaged in searching activities than in content creation. These findings indicate that credibility assessment can or should be seen as a process-oriented notion incorporating various information use contexts beyond simple rating-based evaluation. The theoretical contributions for information scientists and practical implications for web designers are also discussed.

이 연구는 경남지역 초등학교 도서관의 이용자교육 현황과 이에 대한 전담인력의 인식을 조사한 다음, 학교도서관 이용자교육의 개선방안을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 경남지역 학교도서관 중 전담인력이 배치되어 있는 168개 학교도서관 중 설문조사에 응한 120개관을 연구대상으로 선정하였으며, 89개관이 응답하였다. 이용자교육의 내용과 방법, 이용자교육에 대한 사서교육의 이수 현황, 이용자교육에 대한 전담인력의 이해와 관심도, 이용자교육의 필요성과 효과에 대한 전담인력의 인식, 이용자교육의 방향에 대한 전담인력의 인식 등을 조사내용으로 포함하였다. 조사 결과를 토대로 하여 학교도서관 이용자교육을 개선하기 위한 방안으로 1) 이용자교육을 위한 사서교육 기회의 확대, 2) 학년별 내용과 수준을 다양화한 교육자료의 개발과 보급, 3) 이용자교육을 위한 정규교육 시간의 편성, 4) 이용자교육에 대한 역량 강화를 위한 지속적인 노력 등을 제안하였다.

While numerous studies have suggested the significance of uncertainty during the process of information-seeking, less research has investigated user uncertainty in the actual search process using a real system. This study investigated user perceptions of uncertainty in the process of the selection of information retrieval system in the real information-seeking process. Considering the role of commercial Web search engines as supplementary tools for traditional bibliographic databases in academic research environments, this study analyzed the selection behavior of scholarly researchers, who use such search tools for their academic study. The researchers were limited to the discipline of science in order to understand user perceptions in this field. The findings revealed various dimensions, types, and incidents of uncertainty. Variations appeared in different incidents of uncertainty relating to the unique characteristics of the subjects' information-seeking context. The identification of three principal origins of uncertainty based on the different types of uncertainty generated implications to improve information systems and services.

The financial MyData service has implemented in January 2022 and launched 45 services by banks, securities, credit cards and fintech companies. This study applied the Q methodology, to identify the user types of MyData services and compared the perceptions of employees of financial institutions who plan and develop the MyData services. There are three types of MyData service users: active users, limited users who focus on consumption and asset status inquiry, and sensitive users for personal information. There were two types of recognition of financial company employees. One is the active user support other is the sensitive user for personal information support. The analysis of subjective perceptions can be used as a reference for establishing a company's MyData service marketing strategy and establishing related policies to improve the MyData ecosystem.

국내 기록관리학 분야에서 국가기록원 및 기록관의 기록정보콘텐츠에 대한 이용자 인식에 관한 연구들은 다수 수행되었지만, 창작 목적 디지털 아카이브 콘텐츠 활용에 대한 이용자들의 인식 조사는 수행 된 바가 없었다. 이에 본 연구는 한국콘텐츠진흥원에서 운영 중인 창작 목적 디지털 아카이브 '컬처링(Culturing)' 웹 사이트의 콘텐츠 활용에 대한 이용자 인식 조사를 실시하였다. 설문을 통한 인식조사는 이용자들의 컬처링 사이트 콘텐츠들에 대한 관심 정도와 콘텐츠 유형 및 주제 분야별 예상 이용선호도와 예상 도움정도 등에 대하여 이루어졌다. 설문데이터의 분석은 연구대상자의 일반적인 사항과 인식과 관련된 평균값을 비교·분석하기 위하여 One way ANOVA를 사용하였으며, 동(同) 사항 및 인식과 관련된 명목 변수 항목들 간의 연관성을 알아보기 위하여 교차분석을 실시하였다. 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 한 제언점은 다음과 같다. 즉, ① 카드스토리 등의 콘텐츠 유형 및 콘텐츠 내용의 전문성 제고를 포함한 정보 자료의 확충, ② 이용자 종사분야별 맞춤형(Customizing) 인터페이스 설계와 가독성 향상 및 모바일 플랫폼 전용 사이트 개발, ③ 대형 포털사이트와 창작자 집단을 대상으로 한 사이트 홍보의 강화 등이다.

본 연구는 이용자, 이용 중단자, 비이용자의 공공도서관에 대한 인식수준의 차이 및 공공도서관 비이용 요인에 대한 집단 간 인식수준의 차이를 파악하여 이용 중단자 집단과 비이용자 집단을 이용자 집단으로 유입할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 문헌분석과 설문조사 결과의 통계적 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 이용자, 이용 중단자, 비이용자 집단 간 공공도서관에 대한 인식 및 공공도서관 비이용 요인 인식에 있어 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 분석결과를 바탕으로 이용 중단자와 비이용자의 공공도서관 인식에 대한 공통 요인, 비이용 요인 및 이용 중단 요인을 나누어 파악하고 이를 개선하기 위한 고려 사항을 제안하였다.

Objectives This study aimed to identify the current status and satisfaction with Korean medicine treatment and analyze the perceptions of parents about Korean medicine treatment in children. Methods A Web survey (Moaform) was conducted with 52 parents whose children used Korean medicine and 53 parents who did not. We investigated the reasons why the user group chose treatment and satisfaction with each treatment and why the non-user group did not choose the treatment. Results Children in the user group were frequently prescribed herbal medicines (decoctions) and acupuncture. However, they showed low satisfaction in terms of fear of acupuncture and dissatisfaction with the unique taste of herbal medicine. Non-user parents had a favorable opinion of Korean medicine, but had relatively negative perceptions about whether their children were willing to visit in the future. Conclusions Parents who used Korean medicine for their children had positive perceptions and trust in Korean medicine. However, those who did not use Korean medicine were concerned about the safety and potential harm of its application to their children.

Objectives : This study aimed to identify the factors that affect the utilization of Korean Medicine within the past year. Methods : I analyzed micro-data from the Korean Medicine Utilization Survey (2020), which surveyed the general public. "User (in last 1 year)" were defined as those who had used Korean Medicine within the past year, while "Non-user (in last 1 year)" were defined as those who had used it in their lifetime but not within the past year. I examined several factors, including general characteristics, perceptions of Korean Medicine, satisfaction with Korean Medicine, and intention for future utilization. I conducted the Rao-Scott chi-squared test and complex sample logistic regression analysis. Results : I analyzed a total of 3,762 respondents, of which 1,442 (36.3%) were User (in last 1 year) and 2,320 (63.7%) were Non-user (in last 1 year). User (in last 1 year) and Non-user (in last 1 year) differed significantly in terms of demographic characteristics, perceptions, and satisfaction with Korean Medicine. Women, the elderly, those with low education levels, non-married individuals, those with low-income, chronic diseases, and poor subjective health conditions were significant factors. Those who used Korean Medicine within the past year were more knowledgeable about Korean Medicine than those who had not used it recently, and recognized herbal medicine as safer. In terms of satisfaction, User (in last 1 year) were more satisfied than Non-user (in last 1 year). The more women, the older, the more aware of Korean Medicine, the safer they perceived herbal medicine, the more satisfied they were with its use, the better their subjective health condition, and the absence of chronic diseases, the less they experienced Korean Medicine. Conclusions : The study showed that positive experiences and perceptions of Korean Medicine increase the likelihood of its utilization. Individuals with better subjective health conditions and without chronic diseases have a lower possibility of using Korean Medicine.

Background: Recently, there have been various developments in medical service robots (MSRs). However, few studies have examined the perceptions of those who use it. The purpose of this study is to identify user perceptions of MSRs. Methods: We conducted a survey of 320 patients, doctors, and nurses. The contents of the survey were organized as follows: external appearances, perceptions, expected utilization, possible safety accidents, and awareness of their responsibilities. Statistical analyses were performed using t-test, chi-square test, and analysis of variance. Results: The most preferred appearance was the animal type, with a screen. The overall average score of positive questions was 3.64±0.98 of 5 points and that of negative questions was 3.24±0.99. Thus, the results revealed that the participants had positive perceptions of MSR. The overall average of all expected utilization was 4.05±0.84. The most expected utilization was to guide hospital facilities. The most worrisome accident was exposure to personal information. Moreover, participants thought that the overall responsibility of the robot user (hospital) was greater than that of the robot manufacturer in the case of safety accidents. Conclusion: The perceptions of MSRs used in hospital wards were positive, and the overall expected utilization was high. It is necessary to recognize safety accidents for such robots, and sufficient attention is required when developing and manufacturing robots.

User perceptions toward information technology (IT) are crucial to successful implementation. The purpose of our study is to improve the understanding of the impact of social influences on different types of users' perceptions and adoption of IT. To do this our study refines and expands the operationalization of the social influence construct to include four components: "subjective norm", "image","visibility", "voluntariness". We use this to examine influences by type of user (knowledge worker versus university student) and IT (innovative versus mature). The key finding is that when knowledge workers consider adopting innovative IT they are sensitive to general perceptions of its usefulness. Our results have implications for management enquiry and practice.
