This study suggests a strategy of providing apparel product information from the wearers' perspective on Internet shopping malls, as a way of compensating for the lack of opportunities to try on the actual product. On an actual Internet shopping mall that sells apparel product, the 'trial-experience information' (the experiential information provided by the fit models who tried on the products) was provided for 83 different items from four women's wear brands. The traffic and sales performances (number of visitors, page view, gross sales of goods, conversion rate, and the numbers of customer transactions) of the apparel product websites that contain trial-experience information were compared to the performances of the brand's websites before this information was implemented. The changes in percent contribution of these brands in women's wear category were also noted. The specific results are as follows: First, all the four performance measures as well as the percent contribution of the experiment products in women's wear category increased noticeably throughout the experiment period (11 to $103\%$). Second, when the percent contribution of these brands in women's wear category in terms of traffic and sales performances were compared to the previous year, these measures increased between $497\%\;and\;2851\%$. Third, the amount of customer transactions also increased after the trial-information was provided, yet to a relatively smaller extent $(29.04\%\;to\;55.25\%)$. The findings showed that trial-experience information provided on the Internet shopping malls may reduce customers' risk perception and lead to increased sales of apparel product and improve the site use ratio.

Extracts of adult worker bodies of Vespa simillima in 2 % NaCl or acidified methanol were administered orally to mice for 70 days. Following this period, memory at one-day and one-month periods, and the effects on scopolamine-induced amnesia were examined using a step-through passive avoidance task. Changes in MK-801-induced disability after 8 days of training, and in memory one month after the trial were also assessed. Mice treated with the 2% NaCl extract showed significant improvement in memory in the behavioral tests one month after the trial, whereas mice receiving the extract in acidified methanol, did not differ from the controls in any trial. The results inidicate that Vespa simillima contains substances acting favorably on the cerebral functions of mammals.
Sea trial tests are necessary to verify speed-power performance, and are an import contract between ship owners and shipyards. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published ISO 15016:2015, which specifies the correlation method between model and full-scale ships. The results of sea trials have been questioned because of the uncertainty of speed and power measurements, especially when sea conditions differ from ideal calm water conditions. In this paper, such uncertainties were investigated by utilizing the standard speed-power trial analysis procedure defined in ISO 15016:2015 through Monte Carlo simulations. It was found that the expanded uncertainty of the delivered power (PDid) at 95 % confidence interval (k = 2) was ±1.5 % under 75 % MCR conditions.
A 16-wk feeding trial was conducted to investigate the proper feeding regimen on the performance of Korean Native Chicken(KNC) consuming broiler diets. Commercial KNC are normally fed 3 kinds of diets during their life span, i. e., starter(S, 0 to 3wk of age), grower(G, 4 to 7wk of age), and finisher(F, 8 to l6wk of age) diets. In this trial, four feeding regimen were employed:T1(S-G-F), T2(S-G-G), T3(S-S-F), and T4(S-F-F). Day-old 360 KNC were randomly allotted to 12 pens: three pens per treatment, and 30 birds per pen. At the end of the trial, the BW of T2 was significantly better than that of T3(P<0.05), and T1 and T4 were intermediate. No significant difference were found in feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and viability among treatments. It appears that, in terms of BW gain, the T2 is the recommendable feeding regimen for KNC consuming broiler diets.
Recently, study on the improvement of combustion performance for the diesel engine by using the impinging spray in the combustion chamber has been actively studied. The purpose of this study is to examine the variation of exhaust emission between the trial engine with impinging plate and the prototype engine in accordance with change of fuel injection timing and fuel injection pressure. The concentration of nitrogen oxide of trial engine decreased more than 50% compared to prototype engine. However, smoke of trial engine indicated very high concentration compared to prototype engine. The effect of fuel injection timing on the nitrogen oxide and smoke indicated different results, that is, the concentration of nitrogen oxide decreased as the degree of fuel injection start become slower, whereas the concentration of smoke decreased as the degree of fuel injection start become faster.
Background : Hot flushes are general postmenopausal symptoms which about 75% of climacteric women undergo. They affect hotness, perspirations, systemic weakness, panic disorders, insomnia. Acupuncture is effective in alleviating hot flushes in practice. Assessment effectiveness and safety of acupuncture in hot flushes would be needed through multi-center trial. Objectives : Purpose of this study is to develope the protocol of effects of acupuncture on hot flushes, a postmenopausal symptom in climacteric women. Methods & Results : It will be a multi-centered, randomized, sham controlled, comparative trial. It will be performed by Good Clinical Practice after approval of Institutional Review Board. Selection criteria will be set according those of FDA above moderate degree. There will be a notice on concomitant medication, other herbs, dietary supplements. Superficial needling on sham points will be used for control group. Treatment period will be 8 weeks with 12 weeks' follow up. Some questionnaire scale will be used as the primary and secondary outcome. Conclusions : The clinical trials based on this protocol will be performed.
Objectives: This study was aimed to figure out the effect of Onkyung-tang (OKT) on cold hypersensitivity on feet in female patients. Methods: This study was designed to implement multi-center randomized clinical trial in three korean medical hospitals. The female patients who were enrolled in this study were 112 women who suffered from cold hypersensitivity on feet. They were randomly allocated into OKT group or control group in 1:1 ratio. The primary outcome was change in score of visual analogue scale of hypersensitivity on feet, and the secondary outcomes were thermometer of LU4, PC8, ST32, LR3, visual analogue scale of hypersensitivity on hands, result of cold stress test, and score of World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF. Results: In both group, the VAS of hypersensitivity on feet and hands was decreased while taking the medicine, and the effect of decreasing the VAS continues for the 4 weeks after the end of medication (p<0.001, 0.003, 0.001). In OKT group, the body temperature difference in lower extremity (ST32-LR3) was steadily decreased at every visit and it was statistically significant(p=0.003, <0.001). On the other hand, in control group, the body temperature difference in lower extremity was decreased only while taking the medicine (p<0.001). Conclusions: OKT significantly reduced discomfort coldness on feet in patients, and the effect of treatment was maintained at least for four weeks after medication.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of self-controlled feedback on proprioception in elbow flexion. METHODS: Thirty young adult volunteered to participate and were randomly assigned to one of three groups (self-controlled, yoked, control). Power and velocity in elbow flexion was measured by PRIMUS RS (BTE Tech., Hanover, U.S.A). Statistical analysis was used multivariate ANOVA to know effect of self-controlled feedback on proprioception in elbow flexion. Post hoc was used Scheffe. RESULTS: In acquisition phase to practice effect, variable errors in self-controlled group was significantly low scored more than yoked and control group. In retention phase to learning effect, variable errors in self-controlled group was significantly low scored more than yoked and control group. CONCLUSION: Self-controlled feedback was more effective on movement control when the learner could make a decision about receiving feedback after the trial. This seems to support the view that self-controlled feedback benefits learning, because learners can make a decision about feedback based on their performance on a given trial.
Objectives . In large-scale field trials, randomization by cluster is frequently used because of the administrative convenience, a desire to reduce the effect of treatment contamination, and the need to avoid ethical issues that might of otherwise arise. Cluster randomization trials are experiments in which intact social unit, e.g., families, schools, cities, rather than independent individuals are randomly allocated to intervention groups. The positive correlation among responses of subjects from the same cluster is in matter in cluster randomization. This thesis is to compare the results of three randomization methods by standard error of estimator of treatment effect. Methods : We simulated cholesterol data varing the size of the cluster and the level of the correlation in clusters and analyzed the effect of cholesterol-lowering agent. Results : In intra-cluster randomization the standard error of the estimator of treatment effect is smallest relative to that in inter-cluster randomization and that in individual randomization. Conclusions : Infra-cluster randomization is the most efficient in its standard error of estimator of treatment effect but other factor should be considered when selecting a specific randomization method.
