  • This study examines the structural relationships between service quality, satisfaction, and behavioral intentions in responsible tourism. In particular, the study focuses on moderating effects of age. Data were collected from 471 tourists from seven responsible tourism agencies. SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used for frequency, reliability, exploratory factor, confirmatory factor, and path analyses. The results of a exploratory factor analysis yield two dimensions of service quality (functional quality and technical quality). The results of structural equation modeling indicate that functional quality and technical quality had positive effects on satisfaction, which in turn had a positive effect on behavioral intentions. In addition, age moderated the relationships between service quality, satisfaction, and behavioral intentions such that functional quality had a positive effect on satisfaction in the group of tourists in their twenties and thirties and that functional quality and technical quality were important factors for tourists in their forties. The results are expected to help responsible tourism communities better manage service quality to increase tourist satisfaction.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between service quality, destination image, and tourist satisfaction for foreign tourists visiting Korea, and in particular, to analyze the moderating effect of psychological power in the relationship. Research design, data, and methodology: A research model was derived through existing literature research and a survey was conducted on foreign tourists visiting Korea. Structural equation model of SPSS and AMOS24.0 were used for data analysis and hypothesis testing. Results: The tourism service quality affects the image of tourist attractions. Images of tourist attractions were found to affect tourism satisfaction. It was found that the lower the psychological power, the greater the effect on the relationship between service quality and image, and the relationship between image and satisfaction. Conclusions: This study demonstrated that service quality at travel destinations is a key factor in order to enhance the image and satisfaction of Korean tourist destinations for foreigners visiting Korea. On the other hand, since the image and satisfaction level of the tourism destination vary depending on personal factors such as psychological power, it suggests that travel industry workers or researchers should develop and operate services tailored to the individual characteristics of the tourists.

Smart tourism that combines information and communication technology (ICT) is rapidly growing to overcome the crisis in the tourism industry. In order to revitalize the tourism industry after COVID-19, such as non-face-to-face and non-contact, smart tourism incorporating information and communication technology (ICT) is actively encouraged and promoted. The purpose of this study is to empirically verify how perceived pleasure, perceived awakening, and perceived domination, which are three important variables of emotional response theory, affect the intention to continue use through perceived usefulness, expectation, and satisfaction. The survey was conducted for two weeks from November 1 to 15, 2020. A total of 175 surveys were collected during the period and used for analysis. As a result of the study, first, perceived pleasure did not significantly affect perceived usefulness, expectation, satisfaction, and intention to continue use. Second, perceived awakening had a significant effect on expectations, but did not significantly affect perceived usefulness, satisfaction, and continued use intention. Third, perceived domination had a significant effect on perceived usefulness, expectation, and continued use intention. However, it did not significantly affect satisfaction. Fourth, perceived usefulness did not significantly affect satisfaction. Fifth, expectations had a significant effect on perceived usefulness and satisfaction. Sixth, satisfaction had a significant effect on the intention to continue use. Through this, companies and developers that provide online review content for aviation and hotels should know what part of the content is actually focused on and provide it to customers. In addition, content should be provided in consideration of the emotional aspects that aviation and hotel online review users feel while watching videos.
