Effect of Toruism Image on Tourism Motivation and Experientiality of Chinese Tourists' on Korean Wave (한류관광객의 관광동기 및 체험성이 관광 이미지에 미치는 영향)

  • This research the impacts of the tourism motivation and tourism product experimentiality to the korea national image and the results are as follow. First, chinese tourist' on korean wave showed sensory experiences of experiential marketing, emotional experience, cognitive experiences positively affect to the festival brand loyalty. Second, it showed all items of sensory experiences of experiential marketing, emotional experience, cognitive experiences positively affect to the festival brand loyalty. Through these results, first, Necessity is the possibility of knowing the thing there was grasp about tourism motive difference of the cold Chinese tourists' on korean wave. Second, there must be to cold current tourism goods development, must provide the possibility of knowing the thing was an experience characteristic to the tourists. With this character direction, presented a ongoing search that cold current korean wave tourism market measurement from governmental dimension, cold korean wave tourism goods development which applies the contents from enterprise dimension, theoretical foundation data triangular position from scientific dimension.

The Effect of Characteristics of Attitude and Perceived Value of Motivation of Package Tour on Satisfaction (패키지관광 동기에 대한 태도 및 지각적가치가 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of package tour motivation(harmony, amusement, and convenience) on satisfaction through its attitude and perceived value(emotional value and functional value). This study was conducted an empirical analysis of 297 people aged 19 years or older who experienced package tours. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, all of the sub-factor like tourism motivation -amusement, convenience- had a positive influence on the attitude. but the harmony which is one of the sub-factor of tourism motivation did not have any influence on the attitude. Secondly, harmony, a sub-factor of tourism motivation, did not positively affect the perceived value sub-factor of emotional value. Thirdly, the character of attitude had a positive effect on satisfaction. Finally, both emotional and functional value factors, a sub-factor of perceived value, were found to have a positive effect on satisfaction. Through these research results, the competitiveness of package tours should be secured and expanded to research on efficient marketing strategies so that package tours can be activated.

  • The industrial structure of Chuja Island is mainly occupied by fisheries. Since the fisheries resources have been depleted and the marine environment has been changed, the fishery industry has been hard to survive. It is the time when residents are looking for a breakthrough in the tourism industry. Market segmentation is a valuable tool in the establishment of marketing strategies. Segmentation of tourists by the same desire and motivation is an essential factor in identifying the characteristics of tourists. The research on market segmentation of tourism sector focuses mainly on demographic subdivision, psychological subdivision, and behavioral subdivision, so it is urgent to study geographical market segmentation. The purpose of this study is to present data that can be used to establish a marketing strategy for tourism promotion in Chuja Island by analyzing the tourism activities via subdivision market according to demographic characteristics, tourism behavior characteristics, and tourism motivation after grasping the geographical segment of tourists through empirical analysis. In this study, 285 valid samples were analyzed by frequency analysis, ${\chi}^2$ test, cluster analysis and ANOVA test.

The Study on Effect of Transformational Leadership on Cook's Intrinsic Motivation and Creativity in Foodservice Firm - Focused on CJ Foodville - (변혁적 리더십이 외식기업 조리사의 내재적 동기와 창의성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - CJ푸드빌을 중심으로 -)

  • The study intended to investigate the relationship between transformational leadership and creativity of cooks with transformational leadership as antecedent variable. Transformational leadership has been assessed positively in variable studies as a leadership to improve employee's creativity. The authors also tried to explore structural relationships among transformational leadership, intrinsic motivation, and creativity by identifying the meditating role of intrinsic motivation in the relationship between transformational leadership and creativity of cooks. The study subject was CJ FOODVILLE, which is a representative company with its size, sales, and recognition as a domestic restaurant business. A survey was conducted with employees who were working as a cook in restaurants operated by CJ FOODVILLE in metropolitan areas. The results of the study showed that charisma and intellectual stimulation of transformational leadership positively influenced intrinsic motivation, but inspirational motivation and individualized consideration did not significantly influence intrinsic motivation. In addition, the four elements of transformational leadership did not significantly affect creativity. The findings of the study show that intrinsic motivation played a role as a mediation among charisma, intellectual stimulation, and creativity of transformational leadership. Therefore, the findings of the study suggested intrinsic motivation as an important factor affecting creativity of cooks.

Travel Motivations of Package Tour Travelers : A Study of its Impact on Behavioral Intention - Focused on Perceived Values, Tourism Constraints and Satisfaction (패키지관광의 관광동기가 지각된 가치를 통하여 행동의도에 미치는 영향 연구 - 관광제약, 만족도 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to promote package tourism. The value perceived as a sub-factor of tourism motivation and inducement was divided into emotional and functional values. And the variables of tourism constraints, satisfaction and behavior were addedly presented. The analysis proved that all factors have a positive effect on perceived values (emotional and functional) of the sub-factors of tourism motivation (daily escape, harmony, service appeal, convenience). The perceived value (emotional and functional) has also established a positive impact on the satisfaction, and tourism restrictions have been proven to have a negative impact on satisfaction and behavior intention. Finally, it was confirmed that there was a positive relationship between the two variables of satisfaction and behavior. Based on these research results, the implications and future research directions were presented, and it could be useful for promoting package tourism.

Factors Influencing Involvement of Rural Healing Tourism Participants (농촌 치유관광 참여자의 관여도 영향요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing involvement of rural healing tourism participants. The hierarchical regression analysis was applied for this study. In the first stage, age, educational level, and motivation(physical cure) had a positive effect on involvement. However, Occupation(public officials/faculty staff) had a negative effect on involvement. In the second stage, age, educational level, motivation(physical cure), and propensity to pursue wellness had a positive effect on involvement. In the third stage, age, educational level, propensity to pursue wellness, attention restoration awareness, and rural healing tourism satisfaction had a positive effect on involvement. The results of this study show that not only the characteristics of rural healing tourists, but also positive experiences in healing tourism have the greatest influence on tourists' involvement. The results of this study suggest practical implications for how to effectively increase the degree of tourists' involvement in healing tourism.

  • By focusing on the consumers who have experienced ethnic restaurants in Korea for the last three months, this research intends to figure out relations among utility motivation, pleasure motivation, ostentation motivation and feeling of pleasure and how they effect consumers' emotions and level of satisfaction to find out about more desirable services and characteristics for the consumers in order for the ethnic restaurants to secure more competitiveness, and to inform how they should set their aims for more success. This research limited surveyees to online consumers who have experienced ethnic restaurants in the past three months. The period of survey was from April 25 2007 to May 10 2007. For basic analysis of actual research, SPSS program was used to analyze the Cronbach a and factor analysis. And structural equation modeling analysis was used to analyze correlations and grade of effectiveness of variables proposed in the research hypothesis utilizing Window AMOS 5.0. As a result of this research, utility motivation has effect on the happiness and the other motivation has effect on the enjoyment. Enjoyment effect on the happiness and only happiness effect on the satisfaction. Satisfaction has effect on the re-visit intention. Through this research, it could proposes a strategic direction to which the increasing ethnic restaurants should develop themselves.

  • The purpose of this research was made to see how Chinese tourists change their destination according to their travel motivation and what affects on their satisfaction. The result follows as below. First, there is partially difference in choosing destination according to their motivation. Secondly, travel motivation affects their satisfaction partially in positive way. The results of this research can be found in what was the significance empirically analyze the relationship between Chinese tourists in the tourist motivation and choice properties, satisfied. Implications through the study is as follows. First, specialized travel destinations must be developed and constructed to increase number of Chinese tourists. Second, oreover, contents that match with their travel motivation must be developed to improve Chinese tourist's satisfaction.

Applying Gamification and Assessing its Effectiveness in a Tourism Context: Behavioural and Psychological Outcomes of the TripAdvisor's Gamification Users

  • Despite the increasing adoption of gamification and its huge potential in tourism, research in gamification is still limited. As preliminary findings show that the effectiveness of gamification depends on the context of its application and the players' use of the gamified app, this paper fills in these gaps: by exploring and analysing the application of gamification in a specific e-commerce tourism context; and assessing the gamification's effectiveness by measuring the players' gamification usage and the latter's behavioural and psychological outcomes. The gamified TripAdvisor website and its Facebook enabled gamification app are used as the specific context of the study. Findings from a survey conducted on TripAdvisor users provide useful practical and theoretical implications to gamification designers and researchers alike on how game mechanics can be designed for enhancing the users' motivation, flow, task involvement and engagement with the 'play' tasks, and so, increasing the gamification's effectiveness.

Service Quality Satisfaction according to Farm Stay Visitors Preferences and Segmentation by Motivation (농가민박 이용객의 여행 동기에 따른 세분시장과 방문객 선호에 따른 서비스품질 만족 차이 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the difference between service quality satisfactions according to tourists' preference and segmentation by various motivations. Data were collected from 442 farm stay visitors by field surveys in rural areas. A factor-clustering method identified three distinct segments; want-it-all, overall low motivation, relaxation. MANOVA was used to examine the differences of service quality satisfaction for farm stay visitors' preference and segmentation by motivation. Results show that the type of guest room more significantly influenced farm stay visitors' satisfaction according to those three clusters. It should be noted that we have information on the characteristics and type of satisfaction of the consumers in order to improve the quality of farmstay's service in rural tourism.
