For a fixed positive integer g, we let $\mathcal{P}_g=\{Y{\in}\mathbb{R}^{(g,g)}{\mid}Y=^tY>0\}$ be the open convex cone in the Euclidean space $\mathbb{R}^{g(g+1)/2}$. Then the general linear group GL(g, $\mathbb{R}$) acts naturally on $\mathcal{P}_g$ by $A{\star}Y=AY^tA(A{\in}GL(g,\mathbb{R}),\;Y{\in}\mathcal{P}_g)$. We introduce a notion of polarized real tori. We show that the open cone $\mathcal{P}_g$ parametrizes principally polarized real tori of dimension g and that the Minkowski modular space 𝔗g = $GL(g,\mathbb{Z}){\backslash}\mathcal{P}_g$ may be regarded as a moduli space of principally polarized real tori of dimension g. We also study smooth line bundles on a polarized real torus by relating them to holomorphic line bundles on its associated polarized real abelian variety.

Global bifurcations and chaos in modal interactions of an imperfect circular plate with one-to-one internal resonance are investigated. The case of primary resonance, in which an excitation frequency is near natural frequencies, is considered. The damping force is not included in the analysis. The renormalization-group technique for KAM tori is used to obtain the criteria for large-scale stochasticity in the system.

In this paper we give an introduction to the theory of universal central extensions of perfect Lie algebras. In particular, we will provide a model for the universal coverings of Lie tori and we show that automorphisms and derivations lift to the universal coverings. We also prove that the universal covering of a Lie ${\Lambda}$-torus of type ${\Delta}$ is again a Lie ${\Lambda}$-torus of type ${\Delta}$.

This paper presents a geometric method that can detect and compute all conic sections in the intersection of two tori. Conic sections contained in a torus must be circles. Thus, when two tori intersect in a conic section, the intersection curve must be a circle as well. Circles in a torus are classified into profile circles, cross-sectional circlet, and Yvone-Villarceau circles. Based on a geometric classification of these circles, we present a procedural method that can detect and construct all intersection circles between two tori. All computations can be carried out using simple geometric operations only: e.g., circle-circle intersections, circle-line intersections, vector additions, and inner products. Consequently, this simple structure makes our algorithm robust and efficient, which is an important advantage of our geometric approach over other conventional methods of surface intersection.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of the stability of automorphic forms for the general linear group and relate the stability of automorphic forms to the moduli space of real tori and the Jacobian real locus.

본 연구는 창원시 내서들일소리의 전승 현황과 음악적 특징을 분석한 것으로, 현재 내서지역에 전승되고 있는 들일소리가 지속적으로 계승될 수 있도록 그 가치를 조명하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 내서들일소리는 일의 순서에 따라 모심기소리, 빠른 모심기소리, 논매기소리, 칭칭이소리 등으로 구성된다. 이중 모심기소리는 일의 순서와 상황에 따라 ①모찌기소리, ②오전에 부르는 모심기소리, ③점심 때 부르는 모심기소리, ④점심 후에 부르는 모심기소리, ⑤비 오고 흐릴 때 부르는 모심기소리, ⑥해 질 때 부르는 모심기소리 등 총 여섯 부분으로 나누어지며, 음악적으로는 느린 모심기소리와 빠른 모심기소리의 두 부분으로 나누어진다. 모심기소리는 메나리토리가 근간을 이루고 있지만, 부분적으로 육자배기의 영향이 나타난다. 그러나 인근의 함안지역의 느린 모심기소리에서는 전형적인 메나리토리였지만, 빠른 모심기소리에는 속도가 빨라지게 되면서 메나리토리의 특징은 옅어지고 la↘mi의 완전4도 하행이 잦게 나타났다. 고성지역의 모심기소리는 느리고 빠른 소리 모두 육자배기토리의 영향이 강하게 나타났다. 결국 내서지역의 모심기소리는 고성지역보다는 육자배기토리가 덜하고, 함안지역보다는 강하게 나타나는 특징을 지닌다. 이러한 토리의 결합은 접경 지역에 나타나는 음악적 교섭현상으로, 내서지역의 지리적·지역적 특징이라 할 수 있다. 논매기소리는 인근의 고성, 함안 지역 모두 받는 소리가 '상사디어'로 공통된다. 그런데 내서지역의 논매기에서는 받는 소리에서 강한 경토리의 성향이 발견된다. 논매기소리는 선율의 흐름을 보았을 때, 이는 근래에 들어 창자에 의해 음정에 변화가 이루어졌고, 이러한 변형된 선율 형태가 그대로 지속되어 온 것으로 보인다. 지역성을 담보하기 위해 이 부분은 추후 수정보완이 필요해 보인다.

This study presents thickness optimization for the pressure vessel domes subject to internal pressure and axial force simultaneously. The considered typical pressure vessel domes are ellipsoidal and tori-spherical domes with skirt and nozzle part. These pressure vessel domes under loading have higher stress concentration on geometric discontinuity parts. Therefore, thickness optimization of axi-symmetric pressure vessel domes is essentially concerned on minimizing this stress concentration. The objective function is minimization of weight of pressure vessel dome. The design variable is thickness of dome and cylinder. Considered constraint is Von Mises equivalent stress. In the optimization procedure, ANSYS code is used. The equivalent and hoop stress of original shape domes are compared with those of optimal shape domes. And optimal thicknesses for pressure vessel domes are presented.

In this paper, we study a topological mirror symmetry on noncommutative complex tori. We show that deformation quantization of an elliptic curve is mirror symmetric to an irrational rotation algebra. From this, we conclude that a mirror reflection of a noncommutative complex torus is an elliptic curve equipped with a Kronecker foliation.
