카본/에폭시 면재 및 허니컴 코어 샌드위치 복합재 구조의 구멍 손상에 의한 4점 굽힘 강도 연구 (A Study on 4 Point Bending Strength of Carbon/epoxy Face Sheet and Honeycomb Core Sandwich Composite Structure after Open Hole Damage)

  • 본 연구에서는 전기체 복합재가 적용되어 설계된 소형 항공기의 손상 평가 및 유지 보수 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 개발 중인 항공기의 스킨 부위는 샌드위치 구조가 적용되었다. 본 연구에서는 노멕스 허니컴코어와 카본 면재가 적용된 샌드위치 복합재 구조에 대해 구멍 손상 이후의 잔류 강도 평가에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 4점 굽힘 시험을 통해 시편의 굽힘 강도를 확인하고, 시편에 손상을 모사하기 위하여 시편의 중앙 부위에 구멍 손상을 가하였다. 손상된 시편을 손상 전 시편과 동일한 시험을 통해 손상 전의 강도와 비교하였다. 또한 손상된 복합재 구조는 손상 부위 제거 후 패치 수리 기법을 적용하고 손상된 시편과 보수된 시편의 굽힘 강도 시험결과를 비교하였다. 샌드위치 복합재 구조 시편의 유지 보수 후 굽힘 강도 시험 결과 손상 전 시편의 강도와 비교하여 강도의 95%까지 회복되는 것으로 분석되었다.

테잎캐스팅을 이용한 전고체전해질 Li7La3Zr2O12 후막 제조 (Fabrication of Solid State Electrolyte Li7La3Zr2O12 thick Film by Tape Casting)

  • A thick film of $Li_7La_3Zr_2O_{12}$ (LLZO) solid-state electrolyte is fabricated using the tape casting process and is compared to a bulk specimen in terms of the density, microstructure, and ion conductivity. The final thickness of LLZO film after sintering is $240{\mu}m$ which is stacked up with four sheets of LLZO green films including polymeric binders. The relative density of the LLZO film is 83%, which is almost the same as that of the bulk specimen. The ion conductivity of a LLZO thick film is $2.81{\times}10^{-4}S/cm$, which is also similar to that of the bulk specimen, $2.54{\times}10^{-4}S/cm$. However, the microstructure shows a large difference in the grain size between the thick film and the bulk specimen. Although the grain boundary area is different between the thick film and the bulk specimen, the fact that both the ion conductivities are very similar means that no secondary phase exists at the grain boundary, which is thought to originate from nonstoichiometry or contamination.

H형강 접합부를 갖는 목조 골조의 보강형식에 따른 구조성능 (Structural performance by strengthening types of wood frames using H shaped steel joints)

  • The effective mixture of structural laminated timber and other materials is expected to extend the potentials of building structures because of the potentials to realize high performance in structural safety. The classical joint types using drift pin and bolts are occurred local failures due to the small bearing area. In result, new joints using H shaped steel were suggested in this research. The objective of this study is to evaluate elasto-plastic behaviors by strengthening types of wood frames with new joints connecting structural laminated timber with H shaped steel. A total of five specimens of about one-second scale were tested. Specimens had columns with 1,050 height and $84mm{\times}100mm$ section, and a beams with 1,950mm length and $130mm{\times}100mm$ section. Also, the specimens were stiffened by brace, hwang-toh brick, and autoclaved lightweight concrete. The results of the test showed that the specimen stiffened with autoclaved lightweight concrete was characterized by fairly good strength and stiffness than those of the other specimens. Initial stiffness of H-2.0D-NS specimen with 2 times inserting length of beam height showed 1.33 times than that of H-1.5D-NS specimen. However, the strength of H-2.0D-NS specimen has not improved too much than H-1.5D-NS specimen.

디지털 이미지 상관관계를 이용한 Al 6061-T6 인장시험편의 변형률 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Strain Measurement for Al 6061-T6 Tensile Specimen using the Digital Image Correlation)

  • A digital image correlation(DIC) method is a whole-field measurement technique that acquires surface displacements and strains from images information which characterized a random speckle as intensity grey levels. Recently years, this DIC method is being developed and used increasingly in various research. In this study, we tried to apply to aluminum alloy(Al 6061-T6) using DIC method and strain gauge. DIC results demonstrated the usefulness and ability to determine a strain. The test specimen used in this study was an aluminum alloy(Al 6061-T6, thickness 1 mm). For a strain measurement, a strain gauge was attached at the center of a specimen. A specimen was lightly sprayed with a white paint and a black dot pattern was sprayed on its fully dried white surface to obtain a random speckle. The experimental apparatus used to perform the tensile test consisted of universal dynamic tester(5 kN; T.O. Co.) under displacement speed of 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0 mm/min. A Model 5100 B Scanner(V. Co.) used to obtain a strain. A CCD camera connected to a PC uses to record the images of the specimen surface. After acquisition, the images were transferred to PC where the DIC software was implemented. An acquired image was evaluated by the DIC program. DIC method for displacement and strain was suggests and it results show a good consistent remarkably. DIC results demonstrated the usefulness and ability to determine surface strain was better than by using classical measurements. The strain field measurement using a DIC is so useful that it can be applied to map strain distributions at a full area. DIC method can evaluate a strain change so it can predict a location of fracture. The findings of the investigation suggest that the DIC method is an efficient and reliable tool for full-field monitoring and detailed damage characterization of materials.

파괴면적지수법을 이용한 조인트 강도 예측에 관한 연구 (A study on the prediction of the joint strength using the failure area index method)

  • With the wide application of fiber-reinforced composite material in aero-structures and mechanical parts, the design of composite joint have become a very important research area because they are often the weakest areas in composite structures. In this paper, the failure area index method to predict the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint which has the same stacking sequence was used and evaluated. By the used failure area index method, the strength of the mechanically fastened composite joint which has the specimen of different shape and stacking sequence could be predicted within 9.96%.

Application of a NDI Method Using Magneto-Optical Film for Micro-Cracks

  • Leakage magnetic flux is occurred in the cracked area of magnetized specimens, and also it changes the magnetic domain area of the magneto-optical film positioned on the specimen. It causes the change of the optical permeability of the magnetic domain on the crack area. So crack images can be obtained easily using this principle. On the other hand, utilizing a laser in this method makes possible to perform a remote sensing by detecting the light intensity contrast between cracked area and normal area. This paper shows the application of non-destructive inspection system taking advantage of magneto-optical method for micro-cracks and presents examples applied to the several types of specimens having fatigue cracks and fabricated cracks using this method. Also the authors prove the possibility of this method as a remote sensing system under the oscillation load considering application to real fields.

The Effect of Shielding N2 gas on The Pitting Corrosion of Seal-welded Super Austenitic Stainless Steel by Autogenous Welding

  • Many research efforts on the effect of nitrogen on the corrosion resistance of stainless steels have been reported, but little research has been conducted on the effect of nitrogen for the weldment of stainless steels by the seal-weld method. Therefore, this work focused on the determining the corrosion resistance of tube/tube sheet mock-up specimen for sea water condensers, and elucidating the effect of shielding nitrogen gas on its resistance. The pitting corrosion of autogenously welded specimen propagated preferentially along the dendritic structure. Regardless of the percent of shielding nitrogen gas, the analyzed nitrogen contents were very much lower than that of the bulk specimen. This can be arisen because the nitrogen in shielding gas may partly dissolve into the weldment, but simultaneously during the welding process, nitrogen in the alloy may escape into the atmosphere. However, the pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) of the interdendrite area was higher than that of the dendrite arm, regardless of the shielding gas percent; and the PREN of the interdendrite area was higher than that of the base metal; the PREN of the dendrite arm was lower than that of the base metal because of the formation of (Cr, Mo) rich phases by welding.

중심 축하중을 받는 고강도 RC기둥의 섬유 혼입량에 따른 폭열 및 내화 성상 (Spatting and Fire Enduring Properties of High Strength RC Column Subjected to Axial Load Depending on Fiber Contents)

  • 본 연구는 PP 및 CL 섬유 혼입량 변화에 따라 제작한 고성능 K 기둥부재를 대상으로 화재를 상정한 내화시험 후 폭열 방지 및 내화성능을 검토한 것으로, 그 실험결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 굳지않은 콘크리트의 특성으로, PP 및 CL섬유 혼입량 증가에 따른 유동성은 섬유의 엉킴현상 등에 의해 플레인보다 저하하였고, 공기량은 다소 증감의 차이는 있으나 모두 목표 공기량의 범위를 만족하였으며, 경화 콘크리트의 압축강도는 섬유 혼입량 변화에 따라 50 MPa 전후의 고강도로 나타났다. 내화시험 후 RC 기둥부재의 폭열특성으로, 섬유를 혼입하지 않은 플레인은 전체적으로 심한 파괴폭열이 발생하여 철근이 노출되었고, PP섬유를 혼입한 경우는 내부 수증기압의 효과적인 배출로 폭열이 방지되었으며, CL섬유는 플레인보다 폭열 방지효과는 있으나, 모서리 부분에서 일부 파괴폭열이 발생하였다. 또한, 내화시험 후 폭열깊이는 표면보다 모서리에서 더 깊게 나타났고, 폭열발생면적율은 폭열방지 성능과 관계하여 PP섬유를 혼입한 경우가 가장 양호하였으며, 중성화깊이는 $6{\sim}8mm$ 전후의 유사한 깊이로 나타났다. 내화시험 후 잔존 압축강도율은 PP섬유를 혼입한 경우 40% 전후로 플레인의 20% 보다 크게 나타났고, CL섬유를 혼입한 경우는 25% 전후로 플레인과 큰 차이가 없었다.

음향방출법에 의한 고강도 구조요 내화강의 열화특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Degradation Characteristic of High Strength Fire Resistance Steel for Frame Structure by Acoustic Emission)

  • Demand for new nondestructive evaluations is growing to detect tensile crack growth behavior to predict long term performance of materials and structure in aggressive environments, especially when they are in non-visible area. Acoustic emission technique is well suited to these problems and has drawn a keen interests because of its dynamic detection ability, extreme sensitivity and location of growing defects. In this study, we analysed acoustic emission signals obtained in tensile test of high strength fire resistance steel for frame structure with time frequency analysis methods. The results obtained are summaries as follows ; In the T and TN specimen consisting of ferrite and pearlite grains, most of acoustic emission events were produced near yield point, mainly due to the dislocation activities during the deformation. However, B specimen under $600^{\circ}C$ - 10min had a two peak which was attribute to the presence of martensite phase. The first peak is before yield point the second is after yield point. The sources of second acoustic emission peak were the debonding of martensite-martensite interface and the micro-cracking of brittle martensite phase. In $600^{\circ}C$-30min to $700^{\circ}C$-60min specimens, many signals were observed from area before yield point and counts were decreased after yield point.

카울플레이트 적용을 통한 라미네이트 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Laminate Property using Caulplate Application)

  • 본 연구에서는 동일한 구조의 모자형 보강재를 이용하여 일체형 동시접착 구조의 보강패널시편을 제작하였다. 일반적인 동시접착 보강패널 시편과 탄소에폭시 복합재를 이용하여 제작된 카울플레이트(Caul Plate)를 적용한 동시접착 보강패널 시편의 2가지 형태 시편을 제작하였으며 일반 동시접착 보강패널 시편에서는 패널 상에서 보강재가 적용되지 않은 부위가 적용된 부위보다 더 두꺼운 패널 두께를 가지고 그 연결부위에는 0.61 mm 높이 및 3.29 mm 길이의 플라이웨이브 현상이 나타났다. 카울플레이트가 적용된 보강패널 시편에서는 보다 균일한 압력 전달로 인하여 0.22 mm 높이와 1.37 mm 길이의 완화된 웨이브 현상을 보이면서 약 50% 이상 개선된 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
