AN INVARIANT FORTH-ORDER CURVE FLOW IN CENTRO-AFFINE GEOMETRY

  • In this paper, we are devoted to study a forth order curve flow for a smooth closed curve in centro-affine geometry. Firstly, a new evolutionary equation about this curve flow is proposed. Then the related geometric quantities and some meaningful conclusions are obtained through the equation. Next, we obtain finite order differential inequalities for energy by applying interpolation inequalities, Cauchy-Schwartz inequalities, etc. After using a completely new symbolic expression, the n-order differential inequality for energy is considered. Finally, by the means of energy estimation, we prove that the forth order curve flow has a smooth solution all the time for any closed smooth initial curve.

천해파와 해류에 의한 해저면 마찰력 (Bottom Friction of Surface Waves and Current Flow)

  • 일방향흐름에 의한 해류의 마찰력 계산을 위하여 Prandtl의 혼합길이 이론을 수심 전구간에 적용하고 난류의 세기와 수리조건에 따라 완난류와 전난류로 분류하여 마찰계수를 산정하는 개수로 마찰계수 산정방법을 제시하였다. 파랑과 해류의 합성류에 의한 해저마찰력을 계산하기 위하여 두 유속의 연직분포를 고려한 BYO 모형을 이러한 흐름특성을 반영하여 개선하였다. BYO 모형은 모든 유속의 연직분포가 해저면으로부터의 직선과 접선으로 만나는 점(Bijker point)을 도출하여 파운동 유속과 해류유속의 합성을 이 점에서 시행하여 일주기의 평균갑을 구하는 모형이다. 일방향흐름의 해류나 천해파에 의한 파운동이나 해저면 가까이 경계층흐름은 완난류, 천이난류, 전난류 등 세가지 종류로 대별된다. 그 중 완난류로 대별하여 두 경우에 대한 합성류 마찰력 산정방법을 제시하였다.

HCFC-123의 수평 평활관내 응축 전열 특성에 관한 연구 (Condensation Heat Transfer Characteristics of HCFC - 123 inside Horizontal Smooth Tube)

  • Experimental data on the heat transfer characteristics of HCFC-123 and CFC-11 during condensation in horizontal smooth tube are presented. The experimental apparatus consisted of a closed working fluid loop, coolant loop, and measuring system. The major components of the working fluid loop made of a refrigerant pump, boiler, superheater, refrigerant flow meter, receiver and test section. The tube-in-tube type test section was made of smooth tube which were constructed form 9.52 mm outer diameter of smooth copper tube with 50 mm outside diameter of PVC tube duct. The ranges of parameter, such as refrigerant mass velocity, coolant flow rate, and quality were 90-325kg/($m^2$.s), 60-360kg/h, 5-95% respectively. Data were obtained under steady state condition for annular flow. As a result of these, the condensation heat transfer coefficients for HCFC-123 were slightly lower than those of CFC-11 from 8% to 15% inside horizontal smooth tube. Furthermore, a new generalized correlation for the heat transfer coefficients of HCFC-123 and CFC-11 during condensation inside horizontal smooth tube is proposed.

Condensation Heat Transfer Correlation for Smooth Tubes in Annular Flow Regime

  • Condensation heat transfer coefficients in a 7.92 mm inside diameter copper smooth tube were obtained experimentally for R22, R134a, and R410A. Working conditions were in the range of $30-40^{\circ}C$ condensation temperature, $95-410 kg/m^2s$ mass flux, and 0.15-0.85 vapor quality. The experimental data were compared with the eight existing correlations for an annular flow regime. Based on the heat-momentum analogy, a condensation heat transfer coefficients correlation for the annular flow regime was developed. The Breber et al. flow regime map was used to discern flow pattern and the Muller-Steinhagen & Heck pressure drop correlation was used for the term of the proposed correlation. The proposed correlation provided the best predicted performance compared to the eight existing correlations and its root mean square deviation was less than 8.7%.

  • Wake structures behind two circular cylinders with different groove configurations(U and V-shape) have been investigated experimentally. The results were compared with those for the smooth cylinder having the same diameter D. The drag force, mean velocity and turbulent intensity profiles of wake behind the cylinders were measured with varying the Reynolds number in the range of Re(sub)D=8,000∼14,000. As a result, the U-shaped groove was found to reduce the drag up to 18.6%, but the V-shaped groove reduced drag force only 2.5% compared with the smooth cylinder. As the Reynolds number increases, the vortex shedding frequency becomes a little larger than that of the smooth cylinder. The visualized flow using the smoke-wire and particle tracing methods shows the flow structure qualitatively.

우 대동맥 평활근 세포의 성장에 관한 shear stress의 영향 (Effect of Shear Stress on Bovine Aortic Smooth Muscle Cell Growth)

  • 평활근 세포에 대한 shear stress의 영향을 알아보기 위해 슬라이드 글라스위에 배양된 牛 대통맥의 평활근 세포를 120시간 동안 0~26 dyn/$cm^2$의 각기 다른 일정한 shear stress의 유체에 노출하였다. 실험 장치를 순환하는 배지의 lactate dehydrogen­a ase의 농도측정 결과, 본 연구에서 적용된 shear stress 범위에서는 유체의 흐름으로 인하여 세포가 슬라이드 글라스 표면으로부터 이탈되는 현상은 없었다. 표면 $cm^2$ 당 존재하는 세포의 수를 측정한 결과, 평활근 세포는 정체배양시 가장 빨리 성장하였다. 표변에서의 shear stress가 증가할수록 i영활근 세포의 성장은 늦었으며, shear stress가 17 dyn/$cm^2$ 이상에서는 세포의 성장이 관찰되지 않았다.

척담탕가미방이 혈압, 뇌혈류량 및 평활근에 미치는 효능에 관한 연구 (Study on the Effects of Chukdamtanggamibang on blood pressure, regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF) and smooth muscle)

  • This study was aimed to investigate the effect Chukdamtanggamibang on the vascular systems including changes in blood pressure and regional cerebral blood flow(rCBF) of male Sprague-Dawely rats, contractile force of guinea pig`s tracheal smooth muscle and abdominal aorta and femoral artery in rabbits. Blood pressure was not affected by Chukdamtanggamibang in rats. rCBF was significantly increased by Chukdamtanggamibang in a dose-dependent manner. Contractile force of isolated guinea pig`s tracheal smooth muscle evoked by His ({TEX}$ED_{50}${/TEX}) were inhibited significantly by Chukdamtanggamibang. Propranolol, indomethacin and methylene blue did not significantly alter the inhibitory effect of Chukdamtanggamibang. Contractile force of isolated rabbit`s abdominal aorta and femoral artery evoked by NE ({TEX}$ED_{50}${/TEX}) were inhibited significantly by Chukdamtanggamibang. ODQ and L-NNA significantly attenuated the inhibitory effects of Chukdamtanggamibang in abdominal aorta, whereas propranolol did not significantly alter the inhibitory effect of Chukdamtanggamibang. These results indicate that Chukdamtanggamibang can relax hitamine-induced contraction of guinea pig`s tracheal smooth muscle and that this inhibition involves, in part, the relation to the soluble guanylyl cyclase synthesis and nitric oxide (NO) synthesis.

지중열교환기의 고밀도폴리에틸렌 배관 형상에 따른 열전달 성능 특성에 대한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Analysis on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of HDPE Pipe with the Variation of Geometries for Ground Loop Heat Exchangers)

  • A ground source heat pump (GSHP) system is recommended as a heating and cooling system to solve the pending energy problem in the field of air conditioning, because it has the highest efficiency. However, higher initial construction cost works as a barrier to the promotion and dissemination of GSHP system. In this study, numerical analysis on the characteristics of high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe with spiral inside was executed. The heat transfer and flow characteristics of it were compared with those of a conventional smooth HDPE pipe. The heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop of the spiral HDPE pipe were higher than those of the smooth HDPE pipes at the same fluid flow rate. By decreasing the flow rate, the spiral HDPE pipe represented similar values of heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop to the smooth HDPE pipe. The lower flow rate of the spiral HDPE pipe comparing with it of the smooth HDPE pipe is estimated to reduce the length of the ground loop heat exchanger.

매끄러운 하상-거친 하상의 횡방향 연속구조를 갖는 개수로 흐름의 3차원 수치모의 (3-D Numerical Simulation of Open-Channel Flows over Smooth-Rough Bed Strips)

  • 본 연구에서는 레이놀즈응력모형을 이용하여 매끄러운 하상-거친 하상의 횡방향 연속구조를 갖는 개수로 흐름을 수치모의하였다. 개발된 모형을 이용하여 평균유속 및 난류량을 계산하고 기존의 실험결과와 비교하였다. 그 결과 레이놀즈응력모형이 매끄러운 하상-거친 하상의 횡방향 연속구조를 갖는 개수로 흐름에서의 평균유속과 난류구조를 비교적 유사하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 이차흐름 벡터도를 계산한 결과 매끄러운 하상에서는 상향류가, 거친 하상에서는 하향류가 나타나는 격자형 이차흐름이 발생하였으며, 이와 같은 격자형 이차흐름은 평균유속 및 난류량 분포에 큰 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 와도 방정식의 각 항을 비교하여 개수로 흐름에서의 이차흐름의 성인(成因)을 분석하였다.

  • This is an interior design for a furniture & lighting design exhibition. The concept of design is to secure the smooth flow planning of an audience and effective direction of an exhibit Design content include 1) installation(passage of light) to guide an audience from entrance to right side of the exhibition space to prohibit the flow dispersion and keep smooth continual circulation flow plan 2)image-wall to introduce exhibition 3)installation to help the global understanding of exhibit 4)exhibition stand design considering proper height of audience's eye.
