Subjects were 228 associate nursing students from the population that atttend 2 university in B and C city. The data were collected using self-report questionnaire from November 28 to December 16, 2016. Data were analyzed by frequencies, Independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation using SPSS Win 23.0. Emotional intelligence level were no significantly correlation with smartphone adiction. But the subscales of emotional intelligence(use of emotionals and regulator of emotionals) were a negative correlation smartphone addiction in nursing students. The higher the level of use of emotionals and regulator of emotionals, the lower the smartphone adiction. Emotional intelligence level were positive correlation with communcation ablity in nursing students. The higher the level of emotional intelligence, the higher the communication ability. Therefore, To reduce smartphone adiction and to increase communcation ablity of nursing students, it is necessary to develop and test the program for increase emotional intelligence level of nursing students.

  • In this paper, we propose a classification analysis method for diagnosing and predicting problematic smartphone use in order to provide policy data on problematic smartphone use, which is getting worse year after year. Attempts have been made to identify key variables that affect the study. For this purpose, the classification rates of Decision Tree, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machine among machine learning analysis methods, which are artificial intelligence methods, were compared. The data were from 25,465 people who responded to the '2018 Problematic Smartphone Use Survey' provided by the Korea Information Society Agency and analyzed using the R statistical package (ver. 3.6.2). As a result, the three classification techniques showed similar classification rates, and there was no problem of overfitting the model. The classification rate of the Support Vector Machine was the highest among the three classification methods, followed by Decision Tree and Random Forest. The top three variables affecting the classification rate among smartphone use types were Life Service type, Information Seeking type, and Leisure Activity Seeking type.

  • This study was to identify the main predictors of smartphone overdependece of infants perceived by mothers and to provide basic data useful for education and practice. For this, data-mining decision tree analysis was performed using SPSS program, and the fianl 410 researches were used for analysis. The results. In the case of the whole infants, the most important predictor of smartphone dependence was father's leisure activity parenting participation. For boys, their father's leisure activity was the most dependent on their smartphone dependence. However, even if father's participation in leisure activities was high, smartphone overdependence increased again when mother's overprotection and permissive attitude were high. Finally, For girls, the most influential variable on smartphone dependence was warmth and encouragement among mothers' parenting attitudes.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationship, direct and indirect effects between adolescents' peer attachment, self-resilience, academic stress, and smartphone addiction. The subject of this study used panel data of a total of 1280 middle school students who participated in the 14th study of the Children's Panel of the Korea Child Care Policy Institute. For data analysis, SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 programs were used. As a result of the study, children's peer attachment was positively correlated with ego resiliency, academic stress and negatively correlated with smartphone addiction. All pathways except peer attachment and smartphone addiction were found to have a direct influence, and adolescents' peer attachment had an indirect effect on smartphone addiction through ego resiliency and parental achievement pressure. In conclusion, in order to lower adolescents' smartphone addiction, practical interventions to improve ego resiliency and reduce academic stress through peer attachment are considered necessary.

  • The purpose of the study focuses on increasing dangers of using smartphones while driving recently, and then is to come up with measures to reduce traffic accidents caused by using devices like a smartphone. This study conducted a survey of drivers using their smartphones while driving to understand risks caused by using a smartphones while operating vehicles. Results showed that a lot of activities may lead to distracted driving, such as texting, making phone calls, using GPS or road maps, game, etc. In this paper, we presented that functions of smartphone should be controlled partially while driving for safe driving performance. These results suggest that using IoT-based smart devices like a beacon and a smartphone application implemented, tentatively called "Safe driving solution", while driving can reduce traffic accidents. Thus, in order to effectively prevent dangerous driving due to the use of smartphones, a "Safe driving solution" which restricts all functions except for calls and driver assistance functions is suggested.
