  • The increase of repetition rate, the dithering of laser optics, and the extension of pulse duration time are major approaches in improving the picture quality of AMOLEDs fabricated by excimer laser crystallization (ELC). Advanced solid phase crystallization (ASPC) has been developed to improve the uniformity and the process cost. Even though the mobility of ASPC-TFT is lower than that of ELC-TFT, it is high enough to drive AMOLED pixels.

  • To adapt to a rapidly changing business environment, introduction of new management techniques and innovative activities are crucial. In the case of small and medium companies, the compensation for scarce management resources and sustainable development can be obtained from advantage of management consulting. In this study, we propose the enterprise process evaluation model for small and medium business consulting, which can deploy the process improvement activities with considering the process maturity level within an organization. The process evaluation area of proposed Small and Medium Business, Staged Maturity Model (SMB-SMM) consists of four following parts: supply management, demand management, business management, and research and development (R&D) management. For each area, we set goals and also define the practices to achieve their goals respectively. By applying the SMB-SMM model to the small and medium sized companies, the process maturity level can be defined. And then to overcome the gap between the goals and evaluation results, the customized management consulting activities can be drawn from the predefined consulting approaches from the SMB-SMM.

In general, the metadata structure is different depending on the POS system, so it is necessary to first develop a standardized metadata model for a food material cost management system for small business owners in various industries. For that reason, the system proposed in this paper was applied to the cost management app by referring to the development of a data model using the metadata standard. In addition, in order to implement a cost profit/loss management system for small business owners in the restaurant industry, it was designed to support standardized metadata models from various types of POS systems, and is a hybrid app that can support a smart environment. Several researchers have proven that demographic characteristics affect business success. Unfortunately, business success has only been analyzed from a financial perspective and has not been compared to the owner's interests perspective. This study examines business success from both perspectives. This study aims to analyze the demographic characteristics of small entrepreneurs and their impact on business success. Demographics consist of age, experience, education, and gender. Meanwhile, business success is seen from two perspectives: financial performance and the owner's interest. The study used an explanatory survey method. The number of samples is 155 entrepreneurs who are also the leaders of their businesses. The research was conducted in Bandung City, Indonesia, in 2021. The data was processed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression. The study results found that age only affects financial performance. Experience is proven to affect financial performance and the interests of the owner. Gender only affects the interests of the owner. This study concludes that in difficult times such as the COVID-19 pandemic, having young leaders who are experienced will make it easier to achieve business success.

  • Despite the fact that there are about 435,000 unemployed youth out there in 2003, small and medium manufacturing companies experience a shortage of labor in South Korea. Korean government has released the statistical data on labor shortage as well as unemployment. However, there is an inconsistency in the labor shortage statistics of the small and medium business sector released by two different government bodies: the Labor Demand Survey by the Ministry of Labor (MOL), and the Manpower Survey for the Small and Medium Business by the Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA). This paper analyzes causes of the differences the conceptualization and measurement of labor shortage and the data collecting methods. This paper also suggests alternative statistical indicators to overcome the confusion.
