The Exploring of Servant Leadership's Theoretical Framework in the Service Industry (서비스 산업에서 서번트 리더십의 이론적 분석 틀의 구축 가능성)

  • This study analyzed the effect of Servant Leadership on leader trust and job engagement for the lower-level leader in airline crew occupations with the aim of identifying the possibility of establishing the theoretical framework of Servant Leadership in the service industry. As a result of the regression analysis, it was found that the social learning dimension of Servant Leadership has greater influence than the social exchange dimension on the leader trust, while the influence on job engagement is the opposite. The results of this analysis can be interpreted that trying to learn the words and actions of the Servant Leader is more effective in further consolidating the trust of the subordinates in the leader. On the other hand, the Servant Leader's words and actions for social exchange are inferred to have more influence on the job engagement. This study is targeted at air transport services, exposing limitations to the generalization of research results. Throughout leadership research and organizational research, including Servant leadership, further studies applying the social learning theory and social exchange theory presented in this paper are expected to produce theoretical results that will lead to the emergence of a new framework for research analysis.

  • This research attempts to analyze the relationship among leadership, LMX and organizational achievements for chefs in the Jeju district. The results of the research revealed that the leadership type only affected the servant leadership of LMX. Furthermore, the job satisfaction for leadership and LMX was influenced by organizational commitment. Therefore, to strengthen the relationship of LMX, the leadership type's servant leadership must be the essential link between the relationship of LMX, and LMX serves as the link between leadership and organizational achievement. Ultimately, to augment the employer-employee relationship, the factors of servant leadership must be applied, for example, by taking good care of the workers, persuasion, attentively listening to the workers, sympathy, and suggestion of vision, as well as the mutual link and respect among the employers and employees, all of which were shown to have positive influences on the organizational achievements.

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships among leadership, organizational commitment and management performance of restaurant workers from the Busan Haeundae area. Normally, each leadership type(transactional leadership, transformational leadership, servant leadership) effected organizational commitment and management result. For the field test and verification, 200 staffs of the Haeundae restaurant participated in the survey from April 1st to May 30th, 2017. The research result was summarized as follows. First, all leadership types(transformational leadership, transformational leadership, servant leadership) of Haeundae restaurant staffs had a positive impact on affective involvement. Second, transformational leadership and transactional leadership of restaurant staffs had a positive influence on continuous commitment. Lastly, continuous commitment of restaurant staffs in Haeundae affected management result. In conclusion, precedent study explained only hotel investigation.

  • This thesis is a study about how leadership communicates and interacts with the public and affects structure of emotions. Leadership has been paid attention by various strata, and interest about leader is gradually getting higher throughout overall society. In this situation, drama that is a medium that approaches to the general public friendly and easily and affects emotionally the public suggests problems about overall contemporary society and culture and plays a role to solve the desire. Therefore, if we analyze leadership that appears on drama, we may grasp directional nature and meaning aboutwhich figure of the leader it shows. As a research method, we use Spear's servant leadership factors, who categorized factors necessary for leaders. A soap opera named Ukssinamjeonggi that pursues a common goal to solve affairs and problems in relationships among members in an organization is selected as the analytic subject. As a result of the analysis, listening, empathy, healing, awareness, and conceptualization which are factors of servant leadership turn out to be the factors that help subordinates demonstrate their potentials; conceptualization, persuasion, awareness, and foresight are usually shown by supervisors. Servant leadership was the most effective when a leader communicates with members through middle managers to grow the community.

Relationship among CEO's Leadership of Agricultural Management, Motivation for Participation in Agricultural Curriculum and Outcomes (농업 경영체의 CEO 리더십, 농산물 교육과정의 참여동기 및 성과 간의 관계)

  • To investigate these hypotheses, we used data from survey questionnaires on CEO's of 176 persons. First, the results showed that charisma and servant leadership are positively related with goal oriented motivation. transactional leadership did not related with goal oriented motivation. Second, leadership among Excepting for charisma, transactional and servant leadership affect significantly related with activity oriented motivation. Third, we also surprisingly found that charisma, transactional and servant leadership are not related to learning oriented motivation. Fourth, we also showed that goal oriented in motivation of educational participation positively related with agricultural business outcomes. In the addition, the results showed that charisma and servant leadership are positively related with agricultural business outcomes.

  • This study is for analyzing and verifying of impact and effect for undergraduate's leadership through the Servant Leadership curriculum. The Servant Leadership's lecture and period for this study has been done for 15th week, and 2 hours for each week. To verify the effectiveness of the Servant Leadership, we've composed 2 different groups and compared the results of the preliminary inspection and post-test, then analyzed the differences of the preliminary inspection and post-test with focusing on the research hypothesis. Statistical treatment of this study made use of the statistical program SPSS/WIN 22.0, and the method of analysis was done with factor analysis for validity verification of each factor. We used Frequency analysis like frequency and percentage about the generalities of the subject. Looking at the investigation of this research, the overalls such as the University Facilities, curriculum, professor and a school report was higher after training than before training the general programs, On the other hand, friendship and major got lower after training than before, but appeared no significant difference in the statistics. The whole leadership has appeared as heighten after education than before, through the servant Leadership's lecture Empowerment and personality were appeared as heighten after education than before, and Similarly on Human relations.

Verification for Structural Modeling between Servant and Transformational Leadership, Organizational Citizenship Behavior, and Organizational Performance of Private Security Organizations (민간경비 조직의 서번트・변혁적 리더십, 조직시민행동, 조직성과 간의 구조모형 검증)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the structural model between servant - transformational leadership, organizational citizenship behavior and organizational performance of private security organizations. The security guards working in private security companies in Seoul and Gyeonggi - do were selected as population, random sampling method. The survey was conducted from September 1, 2016 to November 30. Accoridng to the purpose of the study, this study conducted factor analysis(EFA/CFA), reliability analysis, convergence and discriminant validity analysis, and covariance structure analysis using SPSSWIN 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, servant leadership has a positive (+) effect (${\beta}=.406$) on organizational citizenship behavior statistically at .001 level. Second, transformational leadership has a positive (+) effect (${\beta}=.373$) on organizational citizenship behavior statistically at .001 level. Third, organizational citizenship behavior has a positive (+) effect (${\beta}=.615$) on organizational performance statistically at .01 level. Fourth, servant leadership does not affect the organizational performance statistically (${\beta}=.211$). Fifth, transformational leadership does not affect the organizational performance statistically (${\beta}=.058$). Sixth, organizational citizenship behavior has statistically positive (+) mediation effect (${\beta}=.249$) in the relationship between servant leadership and organizational performance. Seventh, organizational citizenship behavior has statistically positive (+) mediating effects (${\beta}=.230$) on the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational performance. Research of the Moderating Effect on Team Members' Self-leadership of the Executive Officer's Emotional Leadership: Focus on the Differences between MZ Generation and the Others (경영자 감성리더십이 팀원의 셀프리더십에 미치는 조절효과에 대한 연구: MZ 세대와의 차이를 중심으로)

  • As the MZ generation, who values work-life balance, became a member of the organization, leader-oriented leadership centered on goal achievement and company profit made it difficult to achieve good results in the organization in the mid-to long-term. The company must strengthen the leadership that can be helpful for the self-leadership where the members of the organization move on their own and the organizational culture that enhances the employees' job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Therefore, this study analyzed the effect of the team leader's servant leadership on the team member's self-leadership and organizational effectiveness. In addition, it was studied whether the executive officer's emotional leadership interacted with the team leader's servant leadership and had a moderating effect on the team member's self-leadership. Also, the difference in path coefficient between the MZ generation and the non-MZ generation was verified. To this end, the research model was statistically verified using the PLS (Partial Least Square) structural equation. A survey was collected from 357 team members among office workers online. As a result of the analysis, the team leader's servant leadership had a significant effect on organizational effectiveness and team member's self-leadership. Also, in the relationship between the team leader's servant leadership and the team member's self-leadership, the emotional leadership of the executive officer had a positive (+) moderating effect. The MZ generation differed from the non-MZ generation in the path where the team leader's servant leadership positively affected the self-leadership of the team member and the path where the team leader's self-leadership had a mediating effect between the team leader's servant leadership and organizational effectiveness. The results of this study will suggest various theoretical and practical implications so that executive officers, team leaders, and team members within the company can develop leadership that increases organizational effectiveness in their respective positions.

Effect of Security Manager's Servant Leadership on the Cohesion and Organization Outcome (시큐리티 관리자의 서번트 리더십이 응집력 및 조직성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the impact on cohesiveness and organizational performance of the servant leadership of the security manager. The subjects of study selected final 287 persons by using the systematic random sampling for security companies in Seoul in 2009. However, the number of cases used in the final analysis is 256 persons. Reliability of the questionnaire used in this study showed that the value of Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was above 0.796. The collected data used the methods such as factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis etc. by using SPSSWIN 17.0. The conclusions are as follows. First, servant leadership has a positive impact on cohesiveness. Second, one of the factors of servant leadership, trust, has a positive impact on organizational performance. Third, individual, social cohesiveness and group cohesiveness among the factors of cohesiveness have a positive impact on organizational performance. Fourth, with the results of path analysis, servant leadership has direct impact on organizational effectiveness and indirect impact through cohesiveness. In other words, a servant leadership among the leaderships that a security worker is conscious of administrator affects cohesiveness and organizational performance in management to promote the management of the organization.

  • The research tris to provide some basic data for the efficient method of human resources management and the efficiency of hospital organization by drawing how servant leadership of physical therapists has impact on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. As a measuring device the method of self-fill-in questionnaire survey was utilized and the correlation and regression analysis was practiced on demographic property, the relationships of 11 kinds of variables between servant leadership and organizational commitment. Job satisfaction was concerned with internal motivation, autonomy, hearing, altruistic vocation, community sense, sympathy formation, vision in the positive order, while organizational commitment was concerned with internal motivation, altruistic vocation, vision, autonomy, community sense, hearing, and sympathy formation is the positive order. Supervisors of physical therapists should try to strive to fulfill the demands of therapists in their position, suggest the vision and objectives to them, and enhance their community sense. As a result, supervisors of physical therapists can enhance job satisfaction and organizational commitment in the position of their employees.
