  • Architectural works build with a modernistic viewpoint led to standardization and low of peculiarity , and which resulted in isolation of people from their environment. In that context, the sense of place can be a new paradigm replacing modernism and reflect the fundamental value and meaning of architecture. Interior space as a place can be analyzed from the viewpoint of existentialism. The purpose of this research is to define the concept of place based on C. N. Schulz's theory of space, and aims at embodiment of the sense of place in interior, especially residential , environment through applying emotional and psychological factors. Spatial characteristics that help to form and enhance the sense of place are center, axis and direction, and boundary and enclosure. Some psychological factors, in other words, people's psychological needs, affect the continuation of the sense of place, especially in residential environment where we reside comparatively for a long period and use the same place repeatedly , security, hierarchy/order, aesthetics, variety, and sociability. The sense of place is embodied and lasted mainly by personalization through the process of visualization , symbolization , and complementation of above mentioned properties and elements.

  • In this study, psychological assessment was carried out to investigate the driver's psychological characteristics by the change of the headlight. The participants were 20 men and 20 women in their 20s and thirty-two different conditions in combinations of waveform of light, voltage, and alteration time were used. The questionnaire for the assessment was evaluated by 8 subjective item and 5-point SD criteria of 19 pair's adjective. The results were as follows : 1. The assessment results from SD method indicated 4 factors by factor analysis, and it was shown that A waveform had significances in a sense of security and impetus and B waveform had a significance in a sense of security. The levels of the limitations for the voltage change were 12[V] in the factor of a sense of security and 11[V] in the factor of a sense of impetus for A waveform, 12.6[V] in the factor of a sense of security for B waveform. 2. The results of the subjective assessment showed that the limitation of A waveform's brightness change was 12[V]. Moreover, the limitations of voltage changes were 12.67[V] for B waveform brightness change, 12.12[V] for discomfort, 12.71[V] for darkness. And the limitation of C waveform's brightness change was 12[V].

  • In the era of the internet and ubiquitous computing, IS users are still facing a variety of threats. Therefore, a need of more tightened information security service increases unprecedentedly. In this sense, this study is aimed at proposing a new research model in which IT assets (i.e., network, system, and information influence) Security and Information Security Service (i.e., confidentiality, integrity, nonrepudiation, authentication) affect information security quality positively, leading to users' satisfaction eventually. To prove the validity of the proposed research model, PLS analysis is applied with valid 177 questionnaires. Results reveal that both IT assets Security and Information Security Service influence informations security qualify positively, and user satisfaction as well. From the results, it can be concluded that Korean government's recent orchestrated efforts to boost the IT assets Security and Information Security Service helped great improve the information security quality and user satisfaction.

  • This paper deals with implementation of an expert system to obtain an optimal plan of load transfer for fault restoration with the capability of security monitoring and assessment in distribution systems. Based on the technique of load transfer tree analysis, the proposed expert system can afford to assist system operators in proposing an optimal plan of load transfer for fault restoration, In paticular, an application of the proposed ES to practical distribution systems yields an optimal load transfer plan which ensures system security by considering security assessment for contingency of feeders and main transformers in the knowledge based sense.

  • International conditions surrounding the Korean Peninsula have been recently undergoing a sudden change. The South-North relations have been defined by severe tensions for many years; however, since the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, relations between the two nations began to thaw, and expectations of unification have been rising. Nevertheless, some still warn that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is utilizing a "carrot and stick" tactic. With this, recent research revealed that there is a low sense of national security among college students and teenagers in Korea, which magnified the importance of establishing a strong sense of national security and having a national viewpoint. A way to achieve this is for the army, a core institution of national security, to release army records as online contents. This paper takes an in-depth look into the US Army's online contents service, a leading national records management system, and seeks to provide development plans for the Republic of Korea Army's online contents service.

  • This paper introduces a new paradigm of physical layer security through channel coding for wireless networks. The well known spread spectrum based physical layer security in wireless network is applicable when code division multiple access (CDMA) is used as wireless air link interface. In our proposal, we incorporate the proposed security protocol within channel coding as channel coding is an essential part of all kind of wireless communications. Channel coding has a built-in security in the sense of encoding and decoding algorithm. Decoding of a particular codeword is possible only when the encoding procedure is exactly known. This point is the key of our proposed security protocol. The common parameter that required for both encoder and decoder is generally a generator matrix. We proposed a random selection of generators according to a security key to ensure the secrecy of the networks against unauthorized access. Therefore, the conventional channel coding technique is used as a security controller of the network along with its error correcting purpose.

  • The aim of this study is to inquire into the influential relationship between perceived characteristics and psychological attitude toward smart phone in relation with the smart phone. This study conducted a questionnaire survey targeting domestic college students who are using the smart phone in an effort for an empirical test of the research model. The theoretical implications of this study laid foundation for doing research on the behavior of perceived characteristics and psychological attitude toward technology, and supplied a clue to diverse, in-depth research works on the further smart phone. The study-suggested practical implications are as follows: First, it is required that the usefulness and easy of use of the smart phone should be reinforced in order to form a positive attitude toward the smart phone. Second, the sense of dependence on the smart phone has an influence on user satisfaction.

  • All measures related to the safety of the casino facilities guarantee safety of facilities that are targets of security guards, protect lives and properties, minimize risks of artificial and natural disaster and crimes. In summary, plan for responding to safety and accidents should be developed not only for the casino facilities but also for the facilities of annexed buildings, and lives and properties of customers and employees. Determine areas in the casino facilities that are prone to accidents and set around-the-clock guard in the areas or maintain surveillance with CCTV and prevent accidents through continuous patrol. These are the most basic and the most important requirements in safety. In addition, casinos which prompt gambling are causing economic and psychological treats to families. To resolve these social issues, casinos have adopted limited entrance system. To support this system, new forms of machine security systems such as video automatic recognition system of fingerprint pattern recognition system should be adopted too. In addition, security guards in casino facilities need to instill themselves with a sense of ownership as well as a strong sense of mission to do the best for customer security and to protect the company assets and employees and manage accidents that could occur without notice. Security guards should do their best to enable manage accidents that could occur without notice. Security guards should do their best to enable tourists who are on the rise due to increase in advanced country-style tourism and leisurely activities to get the utmost satisfaction from the casinos, and as a leader of private security company, establish the foundation for security based on the characteristics of security in Korea.
