Effects of Organizational and Personal Characteristics on Salesforces' Performance (조직특성 및 개인특성이 판매원 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Currently marketing researchers are investigating the causal variables affecting to salesforces' performances. Some researchers found personal and organizational affecting variables as well as structural context of variables. But almost affecting variables examined in salesforce performance researches are personal characteristics. Such organizational variables like leadership, organization's market orientation would be worth to examine in salesforce performance researches. Thus this research is intended to analyze effects of personal and organizational characteristics on salesforces' performances. Data for this research were elicited from sales representatives of motor companies. Data collected were analyzed by regression analysis using SPSSWIN Ver.10.0. The following are major findings of this research. 1. Leadership whether transformational or transactional affected on salesforces' performances. But it was not accepted that transformational leadership would be superior than transactional leadership. 2. Market Orientation of organization affected on its salesforces' performances. 3. Personal characteristics such as need for achievement, compensation predispositon, self efficacy, learning goal orientation were affect on salesforces' performances. But it found that effects of intrinsic compensation predisposition on salesforces, performances were reverser (-). Based on the above findings, the following conclusion could be drawn: 1. Organizational variables like leadership and market orientation are key managerial variables in the sales organization, meaning that sales manager development and organization's market-driven culture are important. 2. Through recruiting and educating, raising salesforces' self-esteem is necessitated.

Analysis of organizational variables related to nursing between the doctors' strike and normal periods (의료파업시기와 정상시기간의 간호조직 내 제요인 분석)

  • Purpose : To analyze organization variables related to nursing between the doctors' strike and normal periods. Methods : The sample consisted of 1,220(600 for doctors' strike and 620 for normal periods) nurses working in 5 hospitals. Six instruments were used for data collection including Job Activity Scale(JAS; Laschinger, 1994), Organization Relationship Scale(ORS; Laschinger, 1994), Interpersonal Support Scale(developed by Firth et al., 1986 and revised by Ahn(2000), Self-efficacy Scale(Riggs & Knight, 1994),Job Satisfaction Scale(Slavitts et al., 1978), and Organizational Commitment Questionnaire(OCQ; Mowday et al., 1979). Results : There were significant differences among variables(i.e., formal power, interpersonal support, self-efficacy and organizational commitment)between doctors' strike and normal periods. The formal power was high during the normal period, however interpersonal support, self-efficacy and organizational commitment were high during the doctors' strike. Conclusion : Interpersonal support, self-efficacy and job satisfaction were change by working conditions, but organizational commitment was not changed by working conditions.

Cultural Adaptation and Reliability Testing of Korean Version of the World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0 : 12-item versions (세계보건기구 기능제약평가목록 2.0 : 12항목-버전의 한글도구 개발과 신뢰도 검사)

  • Purpose: The aims of the study were to develop and to establish reliability in Korean versions of World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule 2.0(KWHODAS 2.0): 12 item-self(12-self) and 12 item-interviewer(12-interviewer) versions. Methods: KWHODAS 2.0: 12-item versions were developed in idiomatic modern Korean with a process involving independent translation, synthesis of the translations, independent back translation, and review by an expert committee to achieve equivalence with the original English. 88 participants were included in the study. 33 of participants filled the 12-self version twice to examine test-retest reliability and 55 of participants were assessed simultaneously by four interviewers using the 12-interviewer version. Intra-rater reliability was evaluated using the intra-class correlation coefficient(ICC) and inter-rater reliability was evaluated using both the ICC and k statistic. Results: Test-retest reliability for the 12-self version was excellent with $ICC_{(2,1)}$ value ranged from 0.94(CI 0.88-0.98) to 0.96(CI 0.90-0.98). Inter-rater reliability for the 12-interviewer version showed excellent agreement with $ICC_{(2,1)}$ from 0.94(CI 0.91-0.96) to 1(CI 1.0-1.0). K value was observed from 0.95 to 1. Conclusion: KWHODAS 2.0: 12-self and 12-interviewer versions were successfully translated and both scales showed excellent reliability. It is now suitable for use in clinical and research applications.

The study on the Consumer's Motivation of Charity Impulse in Non-profit Organization-Based on Self-Determination Theory (비영리단체의 자선충동 동기에 관한 연구 -자기결정성 이론을 중심으로-)

  • It is a tentative study on the influence of the consumers' motivation of charity impulse on their loyalty who donate to non-profit organizations. Based on the self-determination theory, this thesis paper analyzed the motivation of charity impulse on non-profit organizations which is the main factor influencing the donation loyalty with consumer-nonprofit identification as parametric variables. According to this study, it seems that the charity impulse caused by the concepts of autonomy of the self-determination theory has negative influence on consumer-nonprofit identification, donation loyalty. But relation-competence has positive influence to nonprofit organizations. Considering without any studies on donators' motivation of charity impulse from the aspect of psychology to non-profit organizations, as the very initial exploratory study, this study is conducted to analyze the possible factors to influence customers' motivation of chanty impulse on the basis of the self-determination theory so that it has a vital significance, which can furnish fundamental data to charitable organizations to carry out effective marketing strategies to guarantee the source of the money collection.

A Self-Organizing Scheme for Swarm Systems

  • A control system design based on coupled nonlinear oscillators (CNOs) for a self-organized swarm system is presented. In this scheme, agents self-organize to flock and arrange group formations through attractive and repulsive forces among themselves using CNOs. Virtual agents are also used to create richer group formation patterns. The objective of the swarm control in this paper is to follow a moving target with a final group formation in the shortest possible time despite some obstacles. The simulation results have shown that the proposed scheme can effectively construct a self-organized multi-agent swarm system capable of group formation and group immigration despite the emergence of obstacles.

The Role of Self-Efficacy and Social Support in the Relationship between Emotional Labor and Burn out, Turn over Intention among Hospital Nurses (간호사의 감정노동과 소진, 이직의도와의 관계에서 자기효능감과 사회적 지지의 역할)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of Self-efficacy and Social Support in the emotional labor among hospital nurses. Method: Data was collected from 389 nurses in 3 general hospitals by means of structured questionnaires. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and hierarchial multiple regression using the SPSS 14.0 program. Result: (a) self-efficacy of hospital nurses had no significant moderating and mediating effects between emotional labor and burn out, turn over intention. (b) Social support of hospital nurses had significant mediating effects between emotional labor and burn out, turn over intention. However, social support did not show moderating effects. Conclusion: Social support was a more important predictor of emotional labor than self-efficacy of hospital nurses. This finding suggests the importance of social support to increase hospital nurses psychological well-being and development of organization.

  • THSRC uses the self-certification system for its high-speed rail construction. The self-certification system takes advantages of obtaining good qualify in project and communicating well between contractors and QA/QC organization. But one should understand ISO 9000s and the self-certification system of contractors in advance and contractors try to control Quality of construction spontaneously. Actually, construction progress is slowed down because of increased QA/QC works. For adapting this system in domestic construction, it is need to understand ISO 9000s and the self-certification system.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify which factors are important for learning performance and the moderating effects of self-regulated factors such as elaboration and organization between users characteristic(perceived usefulness, preparatory education, internet experience) and learning performance. To Accomplish these research purpose, this study performed a survey and 173 response were used for statistical analysis. The results of this study are as follows: First, 7 factors(ease of use, interactivity, accuracy, media richness, perceived usefulness, preparatory education, internet experience) had significant impacts on learning performance whereas reliability did not. Second, the moderating effects of self-regulated factors showed that Elaboration of self-regulated factors can be considered as a significant moderating variable between 2 factors(perceived usefulness, internet experience) and teaming performance.

  • This study is focusing on the fact that Medical bodies are a labor-intensive organization in the technological field which needs technical knowledge and concerted efforts and then explaining the job value and the workplace value on the basis of trust in terms of a sense of organizational unity. The study reveals that, the higher recognition of their seniors the medical workers have, the higher level of self-esteem for job value they have. In terms of personal characteristics, educational experience has a meaningful influence on self-esteem for job value; in terms of job characteristics, the period of one`s service and monthly salary have a meaningful influence on it. And, it is found, the higher the pride on workplace, respect and trust in seniors, loyalty to seniors and self-esteem for job value are, the more proud they feel of workplace.

  • Common to use fixed-node sensor network and wireless sensor networks, unlike the recent move of the node happens frequently. These wireless sensor networks by taking into account the mobility of sensor nodes dynamically self-configurable routing protocol is required. In this paper, a fixed-node configuration and energy efficiency in the self-LEACH protocol is based on the useful movement of the nodes of the cluster is dynamically self-configuring routing protocols offer M-LEACH.
