수정진동자를 이용한 Viologen Self-Assembly 단분자막의 전기화학적 특성 (The electrochemical study on Viologen SA monolayer using QCM)

  • In this paper, the electrochemical behavior of Viologen self assembly monolayer has been investigated with QCM, which has been known as nano-gram order mass detector. The self assemvly process of Viologen was monitored using resonant frequency $({\Delta}F)$ and resonant resistance(R). QCM measurements indicated a mass adsorption for Viologen assembling on the gold sufrace with a frequency change about 135[Hz] and calculated its surface coverage($\Gamma$) to be $3.5273{\times}10^{-9}[mol/cm^{2}]$. Also reversible redox process was observed and analyzed with ionic interaction at the Viologen/solution interface using ${\Delta}F$.

STM을 이용한 Dipyridinium 유기 단분자막의 모폴로지 관찰 및 전기적 특성 연구 (Study on the Mophology Observation and Electrical Properties of Dipyridinium Organic Monolayer Using STM)

  • In this work, the attempt has been made to investigate the morphology of self-assembled dipyridinium dithioacetate on Au(111) substrate by Scanning Tunneling Microscopy(STM). Also, we measured electrical properties(I-V) using Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy(STS). Sample used in this experiment is dipyridinium dithioacetate, which contains thiol functional group, this structure that can be self-assembled easily to Au(111) substrate. The self-assembly procedure was used for two different concentrations, 0.5 mM/ml and 1 mM/ml. Dilute density of sample by 0.5 mM/ml, 1 mM/ml and observed dipyridinium dithioacetate's image by STM after self-assembled on Au(111) substrate. The structure of STM tip-SAMs-Au(111) substrate has been used measurement for electrical properties(I-V) using STS. The current-voltage(I-V) measurement result, observed negative differential resistance(NDR) properties.

  • The characteristic of negative differential resistance(NDR) is decreased current when the applied voltage is increased. The NDR is potentially very useful in molecular electronics device schemes. Here, we investigated the NDR characteristic of self-assembled 4,4'-di(ethynylphenyl)-2'-nitro-1-benzenethiolate, which has been well known as a conducting molecule. Self-assembly monolayers(SAMs) were prepared on Au(111), which had been thermally deposited onto $pre-treatment(H_2SO_4:H_2O_2=3:1)$ Si. The Au substrate was exposed to a 1 mM/1 solution of 1-dodecanethiol in ethanol for 24 hours to form a monolayer. After thorough rinsing the sample, it was exposed to a 0.1 ${\mu}M/l$ solution of 4.4'-di(ethynylphenyl)-2'-nitro-1-(thioacetyl)benzene in dimethylformamide(DMF) for 30 min and kept in the dark during immersion to avoid photo-oxidation. After the assembly, the samples were removed from the solutions, rinsed thoroughly with methanol, acetone, and $CH_2Cl_2,$ and finally blown dry with N_2. Under these conditions, we measured electrical properties of self-assembly monolayers(SAMs) using ultra high vacuum scanning tunneling microscopy(UHV-STM). The applied voltages were from -2 V to +2 V with 298 K temperature. The vacuum condition was $6{\time}10^{-8}$ Torr. As a result, we found the NDR voltage of the 4,4'-di(ethynylphenyl)-2'-nitro-1-benzenethiolate were $-1.61{\pm}0.26$ V(negative region) and $1.84{\pm}0.33$ V(positive region). respectively.

Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopic Studies of Oriented Monolayers on Electrode Surfaces

  • Monolayers of hypericin, a photodynamic polycyclic quinoidal compound, were prepared at the air-water interface, and were transferred to metal substrates to form Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) monolayers. The structural characteristics of hypericin LB monolayers and self-assembled (SA) monolayers were investigated using surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) spectroscopy. Both the spectroscopic data and the surface pressure - area (${\pi}-A$) isotherms suggest that hypericin forms ${\pi}-{\pi}$ aggregates that orient vertically to the subphase surface. Whereas the ordering and orientation of control was less effective in SA monolayers, a higher structural regularity was attained in LB systems. The effect of subphase on the structural integrity of the monolayer was also investigated.

17~19세기 김룡사의 불사(佛事) 관련 기록물 현황과 영건(營建)활동 (A Study on the Architectural Document and Constructions of Gimlyong-sa(金龍寺) in 17~19th Century)

  • Gimlyong-sa temple has played an important role of Buddhist culture in Gyeongsangdo Provinces(嶺南地域) in the late Joseon Dynasty as the 31st head temple(本山) in the Japanese occupation. There are lots of architectural documentary records remained nevertheless, most of cultural heritages are destroyed by fire in 1997. There were 85 articles in five kinds of books which contained historical achievements of Gimlyong-sa temple and hermitages(Daeseongam(大成庵), Hwajangam(華藏庵), Yangjinam(養眞庵), Geum seondae(金仙臺), Dosoram(兜率庵), Myeongjeogam(明寂庵)). It is possible to understand the five situational peculiarities in the 17~19th century. At the first, they were compiled in 1914 to around 1930 by Kwon Sangro(權相老) to clarify the historical facts. Second, confirmed the formation process of the foundation narrative. Third, the meaning of Seolseondang(設禪堂), Manseru(萬歲樓) and Hyangnojeon(香爐殿) were recorded, it is possible to look at the concept of people at that time. Fourth, the great masters portraits were enshrined in hermitages, not in Gimlyong-sa temple. It means that a hermitage is not for only self-discipline or living but assembly of religious orders(門派). Fifth, Chimgye(枕溪), the great Buddhist clergy and carpenter of Gimlyong-sa, was nationwide active worker in 19th century because he was also in a charge of investment manager for construction.

레티노익산이 접목된 폴리아미노산 유도체의 자기조립 현상 (Self-assembly of Retinoic Acid-conjugated Poly(Amino Acid)'s Derivative)

  • 본 연구에서는 수용액상에서 자기조립 나노입자를 형성할 수 있는 레티노익산이 접목된 양친성 폴리아미노산 유도체를 합성하였다. 합성한 양친성 폴리아미노산은 레티노익산의 접목도가 각각 5, 10, 30 mol%가 되도록 조절하였다. 수용액 상에서 양친성 폴리아미노산은 소수성 레티노익산의 분자 결합에 의해 안정한 자기조립 나노입자를 형성하였다. 자기조립 나노입자는 레티노익산의 접목도가 증가할수록 크기는 작아지고 형태는 구형에서 이중층 구조로 전이되었다. 또한 접목도가 10%일 때, 자기조립 입자의 구조 붕괴 없이 레티놀의 포집 및 전달이 가장 효과적인 것을 확인하였다. 접목도가 제어된 자기조립입자는 레티놀을 안정적으로 포집할 수 있기 때문에 주름개선제 및 다양한 기능성 화장품 전달체로 활용될 수 있다.

LBL-SA법을 이용한 고굴절률 ZrO2 박막 제조 (Fabrication of High Refractive Index ZrO2 Thin Film by a Layer-by-layer Self-assembly Method)

  • $ZrO_2/PSS$ thin film with a high refractive index was fabricated on a glass substrate by a layer-by-layer self-assembly method. The surface morphology and thickness of the fabricated $ZrO_2/PSS$ thin films were measured as a function of the number of $(ZrO_2/PSS)n$. As the number of $(ZrO_2/PSS)n$ increased from n = 5 to n = 20, RMS roughness decreased from 29.01 nm to 8.368 nm. The $ZrO_2$ thin films exhibited high transmittance of 85% or more; and the 15-bilayer thin film exhibited the highest transmittance among the samples. The transmittance of the fabricated $(ZrO_2/PSS)_{15}$ thin film was ca. 90.8% in the visible range. The refractive index of the glass substrate coated by a $(ZrO_2/PSS)_{15}$ thin film with a thickness of 160 nm increased from ca. 1.52 to 1.74 at the 632 nm wavelength.

베타시트 구조가 도입된 폴리아미노산 유도체의 피부활성에 관한 연구 (Physiological activities of poly(amino acid)'s derivatives with β-sheet structure on the skin)

  • 본 연구에서는 발린분자가 접목된 고차구조 폴리아미노산 자기조립체를 활용하여 피부성장인자의 피부활성에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 친수성 폴리아미노산 유도체에 베타-시트를 형성할 수 있는 발린 분자를 접목하여, 접목도(degree of substitution)와 중합도(degree of polymerization)가 조절된 양친성 폴리아미노산을 합성하였다. 고차구조 폴리아미노산과 함께 자기조립 되었을 때 상피세포성장인자는 프로콜라겐 생합성이 20% 향상되었고 티로시나아제 활성 저해능은 6.5배 증가함을 확인하였다. 고차구조 폴리아미노산 자기조립체를 활용하면 다양한 단백질 성장인자의 구조 안정성을 확보하여 효과적인 피부개선이 가능한 기능성 화장품 물질뿐만 아니라 나아가 의약품으로도 사용 가능하리라 기대된다.

물분해용 Fe2O3/Na2Ti6O13/FTO 박막 제조 및 특성평가 (Fabrication and (Photo)Electrochemical Properties of Fe2O3/Na2Ti6O13/FTO Films for Water Splitting Process)

  • One dimensional(1D) $Na_2Ti_6O_{13}$ nanorods with 70 nm in diameter was synthesized by a molten salt method. Using the synthesized nanorods, about 750 nm thick $Na_2Ti_6O_{13}$ film was coated on Fluorine-doped tin oxide(FTO) glasss substrate by the Layer-by-layer self-assembly(LBL-SA) method in which a repetitive self-assembling of ions containing an opposite electric charge in an aqueous solution was utilized. Using the Kubelka-Munk function, the band gap energy of the 1D-$Na_2Ti_6O_{13}$ nanorods was nalyzed to be 3.5 eV. On the other hand, the band gap energy of the $Na_2Ti_6O_{13}$ film coated on FTO was found to be a reduced value of 2.9 eV, resulting from the nano-scale and high porosity of the film processed by LBL-SA method, which was favorable for the photo absorption capability. A significant improvement of photocurrent and onset voltage was observed with the $Na_2Ti_6O_{13}$ film incorporated into the conventional $Fe_2O_3$ photoelectrode: the photocurrent increased from 0.25 to 0.82 mA/$cm^2$, the onset voltage decreased from 0.95 to 0.78 V.

메칠멜캅탄 가스센서용 TiO2/전해질폴리머 박막 제조 (Fabrication of TiO2/polyelectrolyte thin film for a methyl mercaptan gas sensor)

  • 메칠멜캅탄($CH_3SH$) 가스를 검출하는 수정진동자(QCM) 가스센서를 QCM의 전극에 $TiO_2$ 나노입자와 전해질 폴리머를 증착하여 제조하였다. LBL-SA법에 의해 제조된 $TiO_2$/PSS 박막은 높은 비표면적을 나타내었고, 가스센서의 감도를 증가시켰다. 1.0 ppm의 농도를 갖는 메칠멜캅탄에 노출된 TEA 혹은 $TiO_2$/PSS 막이 증착된 QCM의 주파수 변이는 각각 약 9 Hz, 2 Hz 였다. ($TiO_2$/PSS) 박막의 증착수가 늘어남에 따라 제조된 박막의 비표면적이 증가하게 되어 QCM 센서의 주파수 변이도 점차적으로 증가하였다. 추가적으로 메칠멜캅탄 가스의 농도가 0.5 ppm에서 2.0 ppm으로 높아짐에 따라 QCM 센서의 주파수 변화도 증가되었다. 본 연구에서는, ($TiO_2$/PSS) 박막이 증착된 QCM 센서의 표면구조의 변화와 센서 특성을 측정하였다.
