The subjects of this study were 518 questionnaires collected from March 20 to April 1, 2016 for the elderly over 60 years old who were living in S city. Regarding the data, the SPSS 20.0 and the AMOS 20.0 were used. And, the results of this research were the following: First, if we take a look at the influences of the feeling of self-efficacy on social capital, the feeling of self-efficacy has the positive influences. And, second, the influences of the feeling of self-efficacy on the preparations for the old age, also, are positive. Third, the influences of the social capital on the preparations for the old age, too, are positive. As such, we can find out that both the direct and indirect effects were shown. Lastly, we can find out that the feeling of self-efficacy has the partial mediating effects on the social capital and the preparations for the old age. Consequently, although the feeling of self-efficacy is insufficient with regard to the economic preparations, we can positively find out that it was able to effectively derive the satisfaction in life by utilizing the social capital. In preparation for the super-aged society, the improvements and the expansions of the social programs and the services resulting from them are needed through the establishment of a foundation regarding the life-periodical, social participation, the establishment of a socially-shared system that can be continued, and the policy of strengthening the social capital.

In the case of domestic manufacturing industry, individual participation practices, that have the main characteristics such as QC or suggestion system, is expanded. Therefore, with the reference of Lean production, Autonomous Team Production and the Taylor system are compared and analyzed, considering the characteristics of Socio-technical System. As a result, it is showed that the Lean production and Autonomous Team Production as a alternative work organization are more positive about the organizational performance and workers' outcome than the taylor system. However, when Lean production and Autonomous Team Production are compared, it is showed unsignificant distinction to the effect of organizational performance. Meanwhile, Lean production showed more negative effect on the every dependent variables such as working hours, income, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment as workers' performance than the Autonomous Team Production. Although the common ideas and belief is that the Lean Production is superior for the quality and organizational performance improvement, it is implied the possibility that there is some damaged workers' performance on the hidden side of that mechanism.

  • Global virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) markets are growing as VR and AR become a new source of revenue for industries around the world. In the edutech sector, an industry that combines traditional education, research on new innovative educational models and business models are scarce, and improvements are needed in the technology group and business environment to realize edutech in detail. Therefore, this study aims to define the elements strategically required for VR Toon development by comparing and analyzing the characteristics of existing touch panel-based display Toon and VR Toon content experiences. Tablet PC Toon and VR Toon were selected to conduct the research. Thirty people (19 men and 11 women) from their teens through their forties were surveyed using questionnaires. The questionnaires were formulated through a quantitative method by using AttrakDiff with a 7-point scale (-3: negative words to 3: positive words). Qualitative evaluations were also performed addressing nine concepts (satisfaction, novelty, operability, creativity, understanding, education, interest, participation, expressiveness). As a result, the usability test results of educational content using tablet personal computers and VR equipment were analyzed from the viewpoint of user experience to define elements expected to be strategically required for VR Toon development.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the Leisure Obsession Scale and examine the validity of the scale. The Leisure Obsession Scale was developed and identified its validity by exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and correlation analysis. The Leisure Obsession Scale consists of two factors, which are 'Leisure Preoccupation' and 'Leisure Stereotype'. Those two factors indicated the reasonable fit index by confirmatory factor analysis. In addition, this scale displayed discriminant validity via measurement of obsession, workaholism, leisure anxiety, and leisure constraint. Also, the results of criterion validation analysis shows that the Leisure Obsession Scale and its subscale are correlated with measure of age, leisure information searching, intention of participation to new leisure activities, and intention of increase in leisure time. Conceptualizing leisure obsession and exploring components of leisure obsession would be valuable for understanding the nature of leisure obsession and its effects on leisure satisfaction, and suggesting more effective psychological intervention in a diverse population.

  • Rural life improvement programs (RLIPs) have been implemented with a central goal of improving the quality of rural life and promoting rural welfare and cultural life. However, different factors may influence the effect of rural life improvement programs on rural communities or households. This study aimed to investigate the determinants of perceived effects of RLIPs on quality of life of rural women in South Korea. We used a mixed research design to generate data for this study. We collected survey data from 311 rural women who participated in the RLIPs and also conducted a focus group discussion. We analyzed the quantitative data using descriptive statistics and hierarchical regression to identify the variables that predicted effects of RLIPs on quality of life of rural women. Our study finds that age, type of residence in the community, leadership experience, level of education, community satisfaction and community participation influenced respondents' perceived effects of RLIPs. The results imply that the benefits of a development intervention could not be uniformly reaped by residents of a community.

  • In the late 1980s, a financial crisis and Compulsory Competitive Tendering (CCT) in green space services brought with it a profound impact on the quality of parks in the UK. Such government projects, e.g. Urban Task Force (1999) and Public Parks Assessment (2001), aimed to raise the awareness of the severity of the declining standards of urban parks. Since the late 1990s, the UK governments (The New Labour (1997-2010) and The Conservative Government (2010-2019)), have often adopted community-led governance schemes to enhance the quality of parks and address problems derived from the financial crisis. Accordingly, community groups, notably 'Friends of', enlarged their involvement in the decision-making process of park management. However, there is little empirical evidence concerning the impact of community-led governance on park management, in particular, the effect on the users' perceptions of park use. This study explored the context of community-led park management to reclassify the level of build-up of governance underlined by 'A Ladder of Citizen Participation'. In addition, questionnaire surveys were conducted around two Sheffield district parks, which are located in deprived areas. As a result, community involvement in the status quo of UK urban park management has changed its form of governance based on the extent of involvement in the decision-making process. The forms of governance could be categorised in three levels: general, active, and predominant governance, where the extents of decision-making and sharing responsibility vary. The results obtained through the questionnaires show that one park (active governance), which has a stronger tendency of sharing responsibility to get involved in park management, had better contribution to park management and positive impacts on users' satisfaction than the other park (general governance). The findings highlight that stronger governance in partnerships with the non-public sectors can shed light on current and future park management through a shift in sharing responsibility for park management.
