Nursing Needs and Satisfaction with Medications in Patients Admitted to Hospital (투약에 대한 입원환자의 간호요구도와 만족도)

  • Purpose: This study was dont: to identify the differences nursing needs and satisfaction with medications in patients admitted to hospital. Method: The participants were 258 patients admitted for 3days or more to D hospital. The data were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, t-test and ANOVA. SPSS-WIN 11.0 was used to assist analysis. Results: The results are as follow: 1. Variables effecting nursing needs were education and economic level. All scores of nursing needs were higher in the group with less than middle school education compared to those with high school education or higher. 2. The scores for nursing needs were higher than the score for satisfaction in common item and injection domains. The scores for nursing satisfaction were higher than nursing needs in the oral medication domain. 3. The item with the highest difference between the scores for nursing needs and satisfaction was 'I want to know the side effect of the drugs'. Conclusion: Patients admitted to hospital want to know the therapeutic effect, side effect and reason for their drugs. However satisfaction with medication was not equal to needs. It is necessary to emphasize clinical pharmacology in nursing education programs.

  • This study aims to examine the relative effects of marital conflict, social support, satisfaction with early childhood care and education centers, and family-friendly policies on the parenting stress of working mothers. The data were drawn from the 4th and 7th waves of the Panel Study of Korean Children (PSKC). Participants comprised 252 working mothers with infant children (4th wave) and children in the early childhood stage (7th wave). Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficients and hierarchical multiple regression with SPSS 22.0. The major findings were that marital conflict, emotional support, and the implementation of family-friendly policies significantly affected the parenting stress of working mothers with infant children. Additionally, marital conflict and satisfaction with early childhood care and education centers had significant effects on the parenting stress of working mothers with children in the early childhood stage. These findings emphasize the importance of considering a child's developmental stage in reducing parenting stress.

Rewards, Satisfaction and Economic Trends under Nonlinear Assumption

  • The purpose of this study to investigate the impact of rewards on job satisfaction and whether economic trends moderate the relationship of job satisfaction and rewards or not. Furthermore, this study also investigates whether the relationship between job satisfaction and reward is linear or nonlinear and whether the relationship diminishes or improves with predictor inclusion. Data collection was done through online and self-administered questionnaires by adopting cluster sampling technique from higher education institutions of Pakistan. Results based on 2160 responses suggest that economic trends moderate the relationship of job satisfaction and reward while assuming the economic trends as perceived rewards. The logit model was adopted to probabilistic relationship between job satisfaction and reward in moderation with economics trends. The moderations magnify the impact of rewards on job satisfaction. The job satisfaction is more sensitive to extrinsic reward as compared to intrinsic reward. The relationship of job satisfaction and reward is nonlinear for both extrinsic and intrinsic reward suggesting the diminishing relationship of job satisfaction and rewards. This study has pivotal implication for the higher education sector as it helps the sector to align the rewards with economic and trends and can normalize the reward after assessing the nonlinear stricture of relationship.

  • This research is to investigate the effects of exercise adherence due to the leisure satisfaction of marine sports participants. In this paper, we will provide a basic database to vitalize marine sports. In order to analyze the result, we conducted a survey targeting 326 participants from 2010 Busan metropolitan city marine sports. The following results are obtained after analyze the data using SPSS/PC+ Win. 15.0 with a correlation analysis and a multiple regression analysis. First, all of the sub-factors from leisure satisfaction and exercise adherence show a positive correlation after analyzing the relationship between the leisure satisfaction and the exercise adherence of marine sports participants. Second, after analyzing the effects of exercise adherence according to the leisure satisfaction of marine sports participants, the result showed that the egoistic satisfaction influences the exercise capacity. Therefore, the data shows that the psychological satisfaction affects exercise environment, exercise companion, exercise habits and exercise attention.

  • The new way of doing education in the cyber space is not limited by time or locations. The students do not need to attend classroom physically and simultaneously. This study tries to probe the relationships among demographic variables and instructional variables with students' satisfaction with the management class in a cyber university. The results demonstrate that demographic variables are not significantly related with students' satisfaction. Rather instructional variables such as personal interactions with professors, job related contents and careful reduction of difficulties countered during the class proceeding are more significantly related with learning satisfaction. The result shows the newly emerged internet based education system requires in-depth cooperation among professors, system engineers, education instrument designers, and students.

  • This study aims to verify the influence of coffee education service quality recognized by trainees wishing to get a job at coffee-related companies on job preparation behavior through education satisfaction and recommendation intention. In order to achieve the research purpose, this study posited five research hypotheses based on relative literature and also established a research model with the five hypotheses. This study shows the following research results. First, the study found that coffee education service quality had a positive and significant impact on education satisfaction. Second, the study found that educational satisfaction had a positive and significant impact on recommendation intention. Third, the study found that educational satisfaction had a positive and significant impact on job preparation behavior. Fourth, the study found that education satisfaction had a positive and significant impact on the effect of coffee education service quality on recommendation intention. Fifth, the study found that education satisfaction had a positive and significant impact on the effect of coffee education service quality on employment recommendation intention. Such findings of this study imply practical suggestions that the characteristics of a wide range of trainees in the study of coffee education service quality and satisfaction, and provide practical suggestions to help improve the future direction of education services and competitiveness of coffee education institutions.

Satisfaction of continuing education and need assessment according to job characteristics in emergency medical technicians (응급구조사의 업무 특성에 따른 보수교육 만족도 및 교육요구도)

  • Purpose: To assess the satisfaction of continuing education and need assessment according to job characteristics in emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 222 EMTs from May 28 to July 6, 2018. It consisted of questions on the method and need of continuing education, and satisfaction regarding education time, assessed using a 5-point Likert scale. Descriptive statistics, a chi-square test, and ANOVA were used to analyze the data. Results: The responses to questions on the method of continuing education (${\rho}=.000$), satisfaction of regarding the duration of continuing education (${\rho}=.029$), method (${\rho}$< .001), and topic (${\rho}=.000$) varied according to the differences in job characteristics of EMTs. Assessment and management of patients with multiple trauma ($4.17{\pm}.735$) emerged as the most important while license examination protocol for EMTs ($3.33{\pm}.968$) was rated the least important among topics for continuing education. Separation of continuing education (${\rho}$< .001), education method (${\rho}$< .001), education topic (${\rho}$< .001), and necessity of quality management of continuing education (${\rho}$< .001) differed according to the job characteristics of EMTs. Conclusion: It is important to provide a suitable program catering to the diverse requirements of EMTs. The education programs must be tailored to the needs of level 1 and level 2 EMTs separately. To improve the quality of education, it is necessary to evaluate the continuing effects.

The Effects of Cooperative Clinical Nursing Education Program on the Competency and Satisfaction of Nursing Students in Clinical Practice (학교-병원 협력실습교육 프로그램이 간호학생의 임상실무수행능력과 만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to examine the effects of the Cooperative Clinical Nursing Education Program on the competency and satisfaction of nursing students in clinical practice. Method: The research design was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design with a convenience sample of 107 nursing students who were at one College of Nursing located in Seoul. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire. Results: Nursing students participated in the program reported higher nursing skills and total satisfaction than control group after completing education program. Conclusion: Cooperative clinical nursing education program for nursing students had positive effects on nursing skills and satisfaction of clinical practice.

Influence of Coffee Education on Importance and Satisfaction of Coffee House Selection Attributes in Gwangju and Jeonnam Area (커피교육이 커피전문점 선택속성의 중요도와 만족도에 미치는 영향 - 광주·전남 지역을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the general characteristics of coffee house consumers as well as the importance and satisfaction of selection attributes of specialty coffee houses according to length of coffee education period. Applicants in the Gwangju and Jeonnam area who had finished their Barista 2 grade certificate examination participated in a survey on March 12, 2011. Further, university students living in Gwangju participated as subjects who had never experienced coffee education from March 15 to March 31, 2011. Two-hundred and one subjects participated in the survey, and 184 questionnaires were used for analysis. Regardless of coffee education experience, quality of coffee was important, but higher educated subjects showed the lowest satisfaction of coffee from a coffee house (p<0.01) in terms of attributes such as freshness of coffee beans (p<0.01) and overall taste (p<0.01). Further, subjects who received no or little education demonstrated high correlation between importance/satisfaction of 'brand' and 'employee' compared to subjects who studied more than 2 semesters. These results provide future coffee house entrepreneurs and baristas with market information and marketing strategies for understanding customers' coffee house selection attributes.

Satisfaction with Children's Foodservice Facilities about Program at Center for Children's Foodservice Management in Seoul: Difference between Associate Members and Regular Members (서울 소재 어린이급식관리지원센터 수행 사업에 대한 어린이 급식소의 만족도 분석 - 회원 구분에 따른 비교를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate satisfaction with children's foodservice facilities about program at Center for Children's Foodservice Management (CCFSM) by focusing on differences between associate and regular members. In December 2014, an online survey was conducted at 155 children's foodservice facilities which were enrolled members at CCFSM in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. The questionnaire included the general characteristics of respondents, satisfaction with CCFSM's services : 'Field consulting', 'Education and training for cook', 'Menu', and 'Newsletter'. The questionnaire was responded by 78 foodservice facilities for children, including 42 regular members (53.8%) and 36 associate members (46.2%). The analysis rate was 50.3% and the majority of respondents were child-care centers (94.9%). As a result, satisfaction with 'Newsletter (4.87 points/5 points)' was the highest while 'Menu (3.95 points)' was the lowest. Satisfaction with 'Education and training for cook' of regular members (4.74 points) was significantly higher than that of associate members (4.41 points). For factors affecting overall satisfaction with CCFSM's service, there was a difference between associate and regular members. Regular members were significantly affected by 'Menu (p<0.001)', and 'Newsletter (p<0.05)'. Associate members were affected by 'Education and training for cook (p<0.05)'. Thus, satisfaction with Menu of CCFSM should be increased. The results of this study show that there was a difference in satisfaction between associate and regular members. Therefore, CCFSM program should be implemented depending on the characteristics of foodservice facilities for children and their needs.
