This study was conducted to elucidate the influence of recombinant bovine somatotropin (rBST) on the plasma IGF-I profiles in deer stags. Slow release rBST (250mg each) preparations were injected subcutaneously during the antler's non-growing period and growing period. It was observed that significant increases in the plasma IGF-I concentrations were occurred right after injections of the rBST irrespective of antler's non-growing period or growing period. When the rBST preparations were injected two times with one week interval during the antler's non-growing period, the mean level of IGF-I was found to be 2,920.7ng I mL, indicating that the IGF-I concentration increased up to 8.4-folds compared with a control. After two weeks from second shot, however, the IGF-I levels decreased to the level of the control. Similar results were also obtained with both a Sika and a Red deer during the antler's growing period. Increases in the IGF-I level of up to 5.6-folds with the Sika deer and 4.3-folds with the Red deer were found. Based on the present study, it is likely that the rBST may be used as a possible candidate for an antler's growth stimulating agent.

Let R be a semiring, I a strong co-ideal of R and S(I) the set of all elements of R which are not prime to I. In this paper we investigate some interesting properties of S(I) and introduce the total identity-summand graph of a semiring R with respect to a co-ideal I. It is the graph with all elements of R as vertices and for distinct x, $y{\in}R$, the vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if $xy{\in}S(I)$.

Let $n{\geq}2$ be an even integer. We investigate that if an odd mapping f : X ${\rightarrow}$ Y satisfies the following equation $2_{n-2}C_{\frac{n}{2}-1}rf\(\sum\limits^n_{j=1}{\frac{x_j}{r}}\)\;+\;{\sum\limits_{i_k{\in}\{0,1\} \atop {{\sum}^n_{k=1}\;i_k={\frac{n}{2}}}}\;rf\(\sum\limits^n_{i=1}(-1)^{i_k}{\frac{x_i}{r}}\)=2_{n-2}C_{{\frac{n}{2}}-1}\sum\limits^n_{i=1}f(x_i),$ then f : X ${\rightarrow}$ Y is additive, where $r{\in}R$. We also prove the stability in normed group by using shadowing property and the Hyers-Ulam stability of the functional equation in Banach spaces and in Banach modules over unital C-algebras. As an application, we show that every almost linear bijection h : A ${\rightarrow}$ B of unital $C^*$-algebras A and B is a $C^*$-algebra isomorphism when $h(\frac{2^s}{r^s}uy)=h(\frac{2^s}{r^s}u)h(y)$ for all unitaries u ${\in}$ A, all y ${\in}$ A, and s = 0, 1, 2,....

Let R be a prime ring (or semiprime ring) with center Z(R), I a nonzero ideal of R, T an automorphism of $R,S:R^n{\rightarrow}R$ be a symmetric skew n-derivation associated with the automorphism T and ${\Delta}$ is the trace of S. In this paper, we shall prove that S($x_1,{\ldots},x_n$) = 0 for all $x_1,{\ldots},x_n{\in}R$ if any one of the following holds: i) ${\Delta}(x)=0$, ii) [${\Delta}(x),T(x)]=0$ for all $x{\in}I$. Moreover, we prove that if $[{\Delta}(x),T(x)]{\in}Z(R)$ for all $x{\in}I$, then R is a commutative ring.

In this paper, we will obtain Marcinkiewicz's type limit laws for fuzzy random sets as follows : Let {$X_n{\mid}n{\geq}1$} be a sequence of independent identically distributed fuzzy random sets and $E{\parallel}X_i{\parallel}^r_{{\rho_p}}$ < ${\infty}$ with $1{\leq}r{\leq}2$. Then the following are equivalent: $S_n/n^{\frac{1}{r}}{\rightarrow}{\tilde{0}}$ a.s. in the metric ${\rho}_p$ if and only if $S_n/n^{\frac{1}{r}}{\rightarrow}{\tilde{0}}$ in probability in the metric ${\rho}_p$ if and only if $S_n/n^{\frac{1}{r}}{\rightarrow}{\tilde{0}}$ in $L_1$ if and only if $S_n/n^{\frac{1}{r}}{\rightarrow}{\tilde{0}}$ in $L_r$ where $S_n={\Sigma}^n_{i=1}\;X_i$.

Let (R, m) be a commutative Noetherian local domain, M a non-zero finitely generated R-module of dimension n > 0 and I be an ideal of R. In this paper it is shown that if $x_1,{\ldots },x_t$ ($1{\leq}t{\leq}n$) be a sub-set of a system of parameters for M, then the R-module $H^t_{(x_1,{\ldots },x_t)}$(R) is faithful, i.e., Ann $H^t_{(x_1,{\ldots },x_t)}$(R) = 0. Also, it is shown that, if $H^i_I$ (R) = 0 for all i > dim R - dim R/I, then the R-module $H^{dimR-dimR/I}_I(R)$ is faithful. These results provide some partially affirmative answers to the Lynch's conjecture in [10]. Moreover, for an ideal I of an arbitrary Noetherian ring R, we calculate the annihilator of the top local cohomology module $H^1_I(M)$, when $H^i_I(M)=0$ for all integers i > 1. Also, for such ideals we show that the finitely generated R-algebra $D_I(R)$ is a flat R-algebra.

Let R be a commutative ring and I its proper ideal, let S(I) be the set of all elements of R that are not prime to I. Here we introduce and study the total graph of a commutative ring R with respect to proper ideal I, denoted by T(${\Gamma}_I(R)$). It is the (undirected) graph with all elements of R as vertices, and for distinct x, y ${\in}$ R, the vertices x and y are adjacent if and only if x + y ${\in}$ S(I). The total graph of a commutative ring, that denoted by T(${\Gamma}(R)$), is the graph where the vertices are all elements of R and where there is an undirected edge between two distinct vertices x and y if and only if x + y ${\in}$ Z(R) which is due to Anderson and Badawi [2]. In the case I = {0}, $T({\Gamma}_I(R))=T({\Gamma}(R))$; this is an important result on the definition.

Control Rod Control System(CRCS) is to control nuclear reaction of reactor by moving Control Rod Drive Mechanism(CRDM) with speed and direction signal from Reactor Regulating System(RRS). CRCS is made up of two parts : control cabinet and power cabinet. And this paper presents mainly power cabinet design for system reliability. To increase reliability of power cabinet, controller, power supply and communication line arc doubly designed and supervision and diagnosis function are applied.

Dehydropeptidase-I (DHP-I) was solubilized from porcine kidney by treatment with n-butanol and partially purified 19.25 fold by $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ precipitation, DEAE-Sepharose CL-6B ion exchange chromatography and Sephacryl S-300 HR chromatography with an overall yield of 19.16. DHP-I showed its optimal activity at pH 7.5 and 25$^{\circ}C$. Its activity was stable under neutral and alkaline conditions, but was disappeared under acidic condition. And DHP-I was heat-labile and its activity remained at 45$^{\circ}C$ for 3hrs. The enzyme was not inhibited by dicationic ions, while its activity was increased by $Co^{2+}$(1mM) and $Zn^{2+}$ (0.1mM). The enzyme was inhibited by EDTA and N-ethylmaleimide. The relative molecular mass of DHP-I was estimated to be approximately 100kDa by gel filtration chromatography. The $K_m$ value of DHP-I for glycyldehydrophenylalanine (GDHP) was 1.98mM. DWP20418 [(1R, 5S, 6S)-6-[1-(R)-Hydroxyethyl]-1-methyl-2-[(2S, 4S)-2-(piperazinylcarbonyl)-1-(R)-hydroxyethyl)pyrrolidine-4-thio]carbapen-2-em-3-carboxylic acid], compared with meropenem (MEPM), was rather easily hydrolized by DHP-I, while it was four times more resistant than imipenem (IPM) to DHP-I.

Vibrio unlnificus ATCC 27562의 16S rRNA 유전자를 PCR법과 제한효소절단법으로 분석 하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 고안된 한쌍의 primer로 PCR을 시행하여 얻은 산물은 약 1.3Kb 였다. 2. PCR산물을 여섯가지의 제한 효소로 절단하여 얻은 단편들은 아래와 같다. BamH I: 어떤 restriction fragment도 만들지 않았다. Alu I : 약 400bp와 200bp의 두가지 fragment를 생산하였다. Sau3A I : 약 70bp에서 450bp 사이에 세가지 fragment를 생산하였다. Hind III : 약 800bp와 500bp의 약간 큰 두가지 fragment를 생산하였다. Sal I : 약 500bp와 750bp의 두가지 fragment를 생산하였다. Sma I : 약 800bp와 470bp의 두가지 fragment를 생산하였다.
