The remote operation of $4\~5$ cranes for container loading/unloading at a port by one operator will dramatically improve loading/unloading efficiency through productivity increase, cost reduction, and so on. This study develops a remote crane control system for container loading/unloading yard cranes. First, a wireless video and audio system to transmit views and sounds of the working field is designed by using 3 web cameras and a microphone. Next, a RSVP-based multi-path reservation method is presented with a view to improving the quality of service in the communication network for remote control. Simulation results show that a RSVP-based multi-path reservation can enhance the reservation success rate in the TCP/IP network.

In this paper, a collision-free resource reservation scheme for WUSB (Wireless Universal Serial Bus) networks with WiMedia D-MAC (Distributed Medium Access Control). Since distributed characteristic of the WiMedia D-MAC supporting DRP (Distributed Reservation Protocol) scheme may cause lots of conflicts, overall performances of the WUSB with WiMedia D-MAC can be deteriorated. In addition, when we consider multi-hop environment, "mobile" hidden node problem due to mobility of WUSB devices can be happened, and it is a critical problem to mobile WUSB devices transceiving real-time QoS (Quality of Service) traffic. To tackle the problem, we propose a new DRP reservation mechanism to prevent DRP conflicts for multi-hop mobility support in WUSB networks with WiMedia D-MAC and show its improved performance via simulation results.

Purpose: There are lots of efforts to increase the revenue of on-line travel agency due to the extreme competition in the hospitality industry. One of the way to improve the revenue is applying new concepted service for their business. In this study, it is introduced an innovative system design of hotel reservation for the on-line travel agency using the concept of an opaque product. Methods: By adopting the opaque product at the hotel reservation system, the reservation requests can increase because the customer tends to feel that they purchase the hotel service with relatively cheap price. The overall process for an innovative hotel reservation system is presented and the core algorithm to implement this system is also suggested through a mathematical model based optimization method. Results: To validate and to examine the proposed process and core algorithm, a numerical example is provided with the modified data of the hotels in Seoul metropolitan city. The discount prices and the overall revenue of hotels are generated according to hotel grade. Conclusion: It is confirmed that the revenue of the hotel tends to increase according to its grade. This is because that the customer want to use the new service which applying the concept of opaque product when the higher discount ratio are decided for lower grade hotels.

The wireless-LAN(Local Area Network), which is emerged as a solution to cable problem and increasing requirement for communication network, has a several problem when it transmit information MAN protocol by used wired-LAN`s MAC protocol. Media Access protocol in Wireless-LAN has great effect on system performance and much studies are processing now. The PRMA(Packet Reservation Multiple Aeecss) of reservation method has a disadvantage that the system performance was degraded become of delay time in the reservation step as a resulting of collision. In this paper, using the TDD(Time Division Duplex) method amd modified PRMA method wireless-LAN modelled to overcome disadvantage, that id delay time due to collision in reservation step. The performance evaluation fo the model was done using M/M/1//M process model and this was simulation using SLAM.

This paper presents a developmental approach undertaken by Asiana Airlines to implement computerized reservation system (CRS), Asiana Airlines is a new entrant into the once monopolized airline business in Korea. As a new entrant, it was absolutely necessary to develop CRS fast to begin the business in a relatively short period of time. By taking the risk of choosing Airline Control System which no airlines has yet implemented CRS with, Asiana Airlines was able to shorten development time considerably as well as integrate CRS with internal management information systems. This enhances system flexibility greatly. It is initially viewed that developing CRS is not to get competitive advantage but to overcome competitive disadvantage at Asiana Airlines. The paper also surveys the changing environment of CRS in general and the future implementation plan for ARTIS(Asiana Airline Reservation and Travel Information System) to be more of a competitive weapon in increasingly competitive international air travel market.

This paper describes the automated call routing for train ticket reservation aid system based on speech recognition. We focus on the task of automatically routing telephone calls based on user's fluently spoken response instead of touch tone menus in an interactive voice response system. Vector-based call routing algorithm is investigated and mapping table for key term is suggested. Korail database collected by KT is used for call routing experiment. We evaluate call-classification experiments for transcribed text from Korail database. In case of small training data, an average call routing error reduction rate of 14% is observed when mapping table is used.

Many people feel uncomfortable when fitness center is crowded with people in all at the same time. So we propose exercise machines reservation system for resolving the problem that people feel uncomfortable in fitness center. In this paper, we design and implement the exercise machines reservation system that allows for users to reserve fitness equipments by using a NFC-based smart band. A user can reserve exercise machine using some reservation device. he or she will receive notifications through the smart band about when and which machine she or he will have to use. The user can do exercise with a recommended program, and can use any equipments conveniently even in a peak time because no one is waiting. Also, a manager can save cost through the efficient facility management and provide customized member management. Additionally, manager don't need to purchase other exercise machines or computers.

Recently, ETRI developed a Korean-Japanese speech translation system for Korean front de나 side in hotel reservation task. The system consists of three sub-systems each of which is responsible for speech recognition, machine translation, and speech synthesis. This paper introduces the background of the system development and describes the functions of the sub-systems.

Korea has risen to one of the most newly industrialized countries boasting its consecutive successful economic growth. The economic growth brought the Korean people more money and free time. Koreans all want to spend more time on leisure activities and travels. In this "mass Tour Age", because of its diverse functions and excellent facilities, resort condominium has been got much more attention. Instead of analyzing whole condominium operations, we put more emphasis on the room reservation system for the efficiency of operation. The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of current condominium operations and to suggest innovative new solutions. To accomplish the purpose, we analyzed the current room reservation system of condominiums in Korea. After reviewing the current reservation system, we provide a couple of suggestions. In order to improve reservation process, future demands should be forecasted as accurately as possible, or be based on everything from sophisticated technological system. I wish this study can help innovate the current reservation problems of the resort condominium industry for continuous improvements of the industry.

This paper describes a study on the intelligent LED lighting system implementation applicated environmental reservation setting. The environment variables are preset by ON and OFF time of illuminator and brightness data. The setting data enables to be changed by personal preferences on the selecting menu. It is possible to reduce unnecessary consumption and operation for the lighting system. The system customized by user's environment is convenient for disability by using bluetooth. Thus the system results in cost effective and energy savings. The system performances are examined for convenient operation and energy saving for practicality in implemented system.
