It is well-known that the ordinary single-parameter Wiener space exhibits a reflection principle. In this paper we establish a reflection principle for a generalized one-parameter Wiener space and apply it to the integration of a class of functionals on this space. We also discuss several notions of a reflection principle for the two-parameter Wiener space, and explore whether these actually hold.

반프라센의 숙고 원리는 반례에 직면한다는 주장들이 있는데 이 중 두드러지는 것이 잠자는 미녀 문제가 그런 반례라는 주장이다. 엘가는 잠자는 미녀 문제에 대한 자신의 대답이 숙고 원리의 반례를 보여준다고 주장한다. 반면 잠자는 미녀 문제에 대한 루이스의 대답은 숙고 원리를 보존한다. 최근 보스트롬은 숙고의 원리를 유지하면서 엘가의 입장과 루이스의 입장을 절충하려는 혼성 이론을 제시한 바 있다. 그는 엘가의 입장이 '자기 표시 가정'을 전제하고 있으며 이 가정은 옳지 못하다고 주장한다. 하지만 나는 엘가가 보스트롬의 행위자-부분 개념을 이용하면 오히려 보스트롬의 비판을 피할 수 있다고 본다. 또한 잠자는 미녀 문제를 포함하여 몇 가지 확률 관련 퍼즐들을 살펴봄으로써 미래 자아의 견해를 다루는 올바른 입장을 제시한다. 이 새롭게 제안된 입장에 따르면, 행위자의 한 명제에 대한 믿음의 정도에서 중요한 것은, 그가 외부자 입장과 내부자 입장 중 어떤 것을 취하는가 하는 것이다.

External barrier options are two-asset options with stochastic variables where the payoff depends on one underlying asset and the barrier depends on another state variable. The barrier state variable determines whether the option is knocked in or out when the value of the variable is above or below some prescribed barrier level. This paper derives the explicit analytic solution of the chained option with an external single or double barrier by utilizing the probabilistic methods - the reflection principle and the change of measure. Before we do this, we examine the closed-form solution of the external barrier option with a single or double-curved barrier using the methods of image and double Mellin transforms. The exact solution of the external barrier option price enables us to obtain the pricing formula of the chained option with the external barrier more easily.

본 연구에서는 무지개의 생성 원리를 분석할 수 있는 무지개 발생 장치를 개발하였다. 무지개는 물방울에 대한 빛의 분산 및 반사와 굴절에 의해 형성되지만, 물방울 한 개로만 무지개를 만들 수 없다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여러 물방울들이 만드는 빛의 경로를 통해 무지개를 관측할 수 있는 장치를 만들어 무지개 생성 원리에 대해 학생들이 보다 쉽게 이해하도록 하였다. 물방울이 만드는 무지개는 유리구슬을 이용하여 재현하였고, 관찰자의 위치와 광원의 고도 등과 같은 무지개 생성과 관련된 다양한 변인을 변화시키며 무지개를 구현하였다.

Photoelasticity is an experimental technique for stress and strain analysis that is particularly useful for members having complicated geometry, complicated loading conditions, or both. The principle and engineering applications of photoelastic stress analysis are briefly reviewed. Experimental stress analysis with Reflection Polariscope at KIMM Structural Mechanics Laboratory was applied to the following practices: Stress analysis of the crosshead of the structural fatigue testing machine; Experimental safety verification of domestic excavator.

Finite difference analysis were applied to study the principle operation of monopole antenna for moisture determination in oil palm fruit at 2 GHz. The electromagnetic field interact with oil palm fruit on the interface between the antenna and oil palm fruit and cause a reflection. The reflection measurement is based on mismatch impedance or dielectric properties between two media. Reflection coefficient is used to quantify the level of reflection. The monopole antenna was made of RG405/U semi-rigid coaxial cable with an inner and outer diameter of 0.45 mm and 1.50 mm, respectively with 2.23 mm length of protruding conductor over 5.66 cm length of monopole antenna. This monopole antenna for moisture detection was compared with induced EMF method in terms of reflection coefficient at 2 GHz. The results show that the complex reflection coefficient measured using monopole antenna provides significant results to predict moisture content in oil palm fruit.

Babinet의 원리와 generalized sheet transition conditions(GSTCs)를 이용한 메타스크린 해석 방법을 제안하였다. 먼저, Babinet의 원리로부터 동일한 치수를 갖는 메타필름과 메타스크린의 상보스크린 관계를 확인하였다. 이러한 특성은 메타 필름의 가장 기본구조인 패치표면의 반사계수와 메타스크린의 가장 기본구조인 메쉬표면의 투과계수 결과로부터 검증하였다. 또한, GSTCs에 의해 계산된 패치표면의 반사계수와 메쉬표면의 투과계수의 관계에도 동일하게 적용됨을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 분극률 밀도(polarizability density)를 이용한 메타필름 설계가 메타스크린 설계에 이용될 수 있음을 보였다. 제안된 방법은 전자기파의 크기, 위상, 편파 등의 제어가 요구되는 다양한 메타표면 단위 구조 분석에 적용 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

Remote Sensing is one of effective methods for collecting, analyzing information and predicting the change of agricultural environments. The RS technique is based on the principle that the object reflects a peculiar radio wave according to types and environmental conditions. For collection RS base data, used spectroradiometer which measures reflection characteristics between $300{\sim}1,100nm$ and measured the reflection of Mi-ho stream's water resources which is located thong-won, Chung-buk province, Korea. The difference of reflectance represents the characteristic of bottom soil, water color and matters in water.

본 논문은 대표적인 믿음의 정도 갱신 규칙인 조건화를 다룬다. 지금껏 조건화는 다양한 형태로 제시되었다. 그 중 가장 단순한 것이 베이지안 조건화다. 하지만 베이지안 조건화는 그 적용 범위가 넓지 않기 때문에, 여러 방식으로 일반화되었다. 본 논문은 그 중에서 제프리 조건화와 이차 조건화라고 불리는 것을 고차 믿음의 정도와 관련해 비교 평가한다. 우선 2절에서 제프리 조건화와 이차 조건화가 명시적으로 제시된다. 3절과 4절에서 고차 믿음의 정도의 갱신과 관련해 제프리 조건화와 이차 조건화 중요한 차이점 두 가지가 언급된다. 나는 3절에서 제프리 조건화는 반영 원리와 충돌하지만, 이차 조건화는 그렇지 않다는 것을 보일 것이다. 그리고 4절에서 제프리 조건화는 무어의 부조리를 야기할 수 있지만, 이차 조건화는 그렇지 않다는 것을 증명한다. 결과적으로 나는 고차 믿음의 정도와 관련해 이차 조건화가 제프리 조건화보다 더 훌륭한 규칙이라고 주장할 것이다.

음악과 수학은 구조적인 유사성이 많다. 음악에서 중요하게 사용하는 장,단3화음은 서로 음정의 순서가 뒤바뀐 전회(Inversion)관계가 되는데 이는 수학적으로 반사(reflection)에 해당한다. 기하학적인 표현은 수학에서뿐만 아니라 음악에서도 그 구조를 이해하는데 도움이 되는데 음악에서 조성관계를 나타낸 도표를 톤네츠(Tonnetz)라고 한다. 톤네츠를 활용하면 장,단3화음의 반사 관계를 쉽게 파악할 수 있고 또한 이도(transposition)를 평행이동(translation)으로 나타낼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 톤네츠를 살펴보고 수학적 원리로 새롭게 구성한 S-Tonnetz를 소개한다.
