  • This paper proposes a novel and efficient intelligent digital redesign technique for a Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy system. The term of intelligent digital redesign involves converting an existing analog fuzzy-model-based controller into an equivalent digital counterpart in the sense of state matching. In this paper, we suggest the discretization method based on the dual-rate sampling approximation is first proposed, and then attempt to globally match the states of the overall closed-loop TS fuzzy system with the pre-designed analog fuzzy-model-based controller and those with the digitally redesigned fuzzy-model-based controller. To show the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed method, a computer simulation is provided.

  • Sampling rate conversion widely used in subband coding, A/D and D/A transitions etc. is an important techniques. Nyquist filters and the filter banks have been used far the sampling converter. However, they need many memories and, whenever the sampling rate is changed it is necessary to redesign filters. Then we propose design method of the new interpolation kernel. Design method of the new interpolation kernel is approximated each piecewise of lowpass filter by n th polynomials. The proposed kernel is not redesigned, whenever the sampling rate is changed. The proposed kernel is a continuous function, the sampling rate of the rational number can be converted.

  • Over the past couple of years, tremendous progress has been made in applying deep learning (DL) techniques to computer vision. Especially, deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) have achieved state-of-the-art performance on standard recognition datasets and tasks such as ImageNet Large-Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC). Among them, GoogLeNet network which is a radically redesigned DCNN based on the Hebbian principle and scale invariance set the new state of the art for classification and detection in the ILSVRC 2014. Since there exist various deep learning techniques, this review paper is focusing on techniques directly related to DCNNs, especially those needed to understand the architecture and techniques employed in GoogLeNet network.

  • It is very important that piping system shall meet the optimum design requirement as predicted in designing system. If the piping system proved not to meet the requirement in commission it shall be redesigned and corrected till the required capacity is satisfied. which costs much expense. The objective of this study is to understand steady 3-dimensional flow phenomena in a process piping system numerically. 3-dimensional numerical simulations with standard $k-{\epsilon}$ model were carried out by using ALGOR code for three cases of Reynolds number. 2500, 3500 and 4500, based on inlet pipe diameter and three cases of inflow air temperature, $20^{\circ}C,\;50^{\circ}C$ and $100^{\circ}C$.

  • In this paper, a redesign of an existing computer case is Proposed by applying some guide lines of assembly and disassembly which have positive effects on environment. Some problems such as Increase of number of disassembly and vibration, and unfittable difficulty in assembly and disassembly of coy-ers are recognized through analysis of geometrical structure in view of both assembly and disassembly. A solution of these problems is proposed by ideas of positive environmental influence through ease of assembly and disassembly. Design for Environment Software is used to evaluate both redesigned and existing products. Time of assembly and disassemb]y and MET-point are especially calculated by the software, and these data give us a good guide for analysis of ease of assembly, ease of disassembly and environmental influence in both products.

  • This paper concerns a design technique of pulse-width-modulated (PWM) controller via the digital redesign. The digital redesign is a converting technique a well-designed analog controller into the equivalent digital one maintaining the property of the original analog control system in the sense of state-matching. The redesigned digital controller is again converted into PWM controller using the equivalent area principle. An example-the altitude control or artificial satellites is included to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Four design candidates for a partial admission turbine have been chosen from a preliminary design process. Their performance were estimated through the 3-D numerical analyses using a frozen rotor method. In order to select the optimum design, each flow analysis result was compared with others. Flow characteristics in the passages and some types of losses induced by shocks and wakes were found from calculation results. Based on these calculations, a new rotor blade was redesigned and compared with previous one through flow analysis.

  • The complexity of the biological system/biological systems has been fascinating and challenging for a long time. With the advent of mathematical tools with various omics technology, systems biology was born and is already ubiquitous in every area of biology and biotechnology. Microalgal biotechnology is no exception in this new trend. As tens of microalgal genomes become publicly available on the Internet, vast amounts of data from genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics are reported everyday. Though there has not yet been enough data gathered on microalgal metabolomics, the in silica models for relatively simple cyanobacteria or for organelles, such as chloroplasts, will appear presently. With the help of systems biology, a more in-depth understanding of microalgae will be possible. Consequently, most industrially-interested microalgae can be metabolically redesigned/reconfigured as cell factories. Microalgae will be served as the hosts in white biotechnology.
