The development of quantum computers and the emergence of quantum algorithms such as Shor's algorithm and Grover's algorithm pose a significant threat to the security of existing cipher systems. Quantum algorithms can efficiently perform mathematical operations that take a long time on traditional computers. This characteristic can significantly reduce the time it takes to break modern cipher systems that rely on mathematical problems. To prepare for quantum attacks based on these algorithms, existing ciphers must be implemented as quantum circuits. Many ciphers have already been implemented as quantum circuits, analyzing quantum resources required for attacks and verifying the quantum strength of the cipher. In this paper, we present quantum circuits for LED lightweight block ciphers and explain each function of quantum circuits. Thereafter, the resources for the LED quantum circuit are estimated and evaluated by comparing them with other lightweight block ciphers.
Transferring single flux quanta across a Josephson junction at an exactly determined rate has made highly precise voltage measurements possible. Making use of self-shunted Nb-based SINIS junctions, programmable fast-switching DC voltage standards with output voltages of up to 10 V were produced. This development is now extended from fundamental DC measurements to the precise determination of AC voltages with arbitrary waveforms. Integrated RSFQ circuits will help to replace expensive semiconductor devices for frequency control and signal coding. Easy-to-handle AC and inexpensive quantum voltmeters of fundamental accuracy would be of interest to industry. In analogy to the development in the flux regime, metallic nanocircuits comprising small-area tunnel junctions and providing the coherent transport of single electrons might play an important role in quantum current metrology. By precise counting of single charges these circuits allow prototypes of quantum standards for electric current and capacitance to be realised. Replacing single electron devices by single Cooper pair circuits, the charge transfer rates and thus the quantum currents could be significantly increased. Recently, the principles of the gate-controlled transfer of individual Cooper pairs in superconducting A1 devices in different electromagnetic environments were demonstrated. The characteristics of these quantum coherent circuits can be improved by replacing the small aluminum tunnel Junctions by niobium junctions. Due to the higher value of the superconducting energy gap ($\Delta_{Nb}$ = $7\Delta_{Al}$), the characteristic energy and the frequency scales for Nb devices are substantially extended as compared to A1 devices. Although the fabrication of small Nb junctions presents a real challenge, the Nb-based metrological devices will be faster and more accurate in operation. Moreover, the Nb-based Cooper pair electrometer could be coupled to an Nb single Cooper pair qubit which can be beneficial for both, the stability of the qubit and its readout with a large signal-to-noise ratio..

Recently, the advantages of high-speed arithmetic in quantum computers have been known, and interest in quantum circuits utilizing qubits has increased. The Grover algorithm is a quantum algorithm that can reduce n-bit security level symmetric key cryptography and hash functions to n/2-bit security level. Since the Grover algorithm work on quantum computers, the symmetric cryptographic technique and hash function to be applied must be implemented in a quantum circuit. This is the motivation for these studies, and recently, research on implementing symmetric cryptographic technique and hash functions in quantum circuits has been actively conducted. However, at present, in a situation where the number of qubits is limited, we are interested in implementing with the minimum number of qubits and aim for efficient implementation. In this paper, the domestic hash function LSH is efficiently implemented using qubits recycling and pre-computation. Also, major operations such as Mix and Final were efficiently implemented as quantum circuits using ProjectQ, a quantum programming tool provided by IBM, and the quantum resources required for this were evaluated.

The integration of digital circuits has a tight relation with the scaling down of silicon technology. The continuous scaling down of the feature size of CMOS devices enters the nanoscale, which results in such destructive effects as short channel effects. Consequently, efforts to replace silicon technology with efficient substitutes have been made. The carbon nanotube field-effect transistor (CNTFET) is one of the most promising replacements for this purpose because of its essential characteristics. Various digital CNTFET-based circuits, such as standard logic cells, have been designed and the results demonstrate improvements in the delay and energy consumption of these circuits. In this paper, a new CNTFET-based 5-input XOR gate based on a novel design method is proposed and simulated using the HSPICE tool based on the compact SPICE model for the CNTFET at the 32-nm technology node. The proposed method leads to improvements in performance and device count compared to the conventional CMOS-style design.

Recently most of functional synthesis methods for quantum circuit realization have a tendency to adopt the declarative functional expression more suitable for computer algorithms, so it's difficult to analysis synthesized quantum functions. This paper presents a new functional representation of quantum circuits compatible with simple architecture and intuitive thinking. The proposal of this paper is a new functional synthesis development by using the control functions as the power of corresponding to affine-controlled quantum gates based on the mathematical substitution of serial-product matrix operation over the target line for the arithmetic and modulo-2 ones between power functions of unitary operators. The functional synthesis algorithm proposed in this paper is useful for the functional expressions and synthesis using both of reversible and irreversible affine-controlled NCV-quantum gates.

Recently, researches for quantum computers have been carried out in various fields. Quantum computers performs calculations by utilizing various phenomena and characteristics of quantum mechanics such as quantum entanglement and quantum superposition, thus it is a very complex calculation process compared to classical computers used in the past. In order to simulate a quantum computer, many factors and parameters of a quantum computer need to be analyzed, for example, error verification, optimization, and reliability verification. Therefore, it is necessary to visualize circuits that can intuitively simulate the configuration of the quantum computer components. In this paper, we present a novel visualization method for designing complex quantum computer system, and attempt to create a 3D visualization toolkit to deploy large circuits, provide help a new way to design large-scale quantum computing systems that can be built into future computing systems.

Quantum algorithms and quantum computers can break the security of many of the ciphers we currently use. If Grover's algorithm is applied to a symmetric key cipher with n-bit security level, the security level can be lowered to (n/2)-bit. In order to apply Grover's algorithm, it is most important to optimize the target cipher as a quantum circuit because the symmetric key cipher must be implemented as a quantum circuit in the oracle function. Accordingly, researches on implementing AES(Advanced Encryption Standard) or lightweight block ciphers as quantum circuits have been actively conducted in recent years. In this paper, korean lightweight block cipher LEA was optimized and implemented as a quantum circuit. Compared to the previous LEA quantum circuit implementation, quantum gates were used more, but qubits were drastically reduced, and performance evaluation was performed for this tradeoff problem. Finally, we evaluated quantum resources for applying Grover's algorithm to the proposed LEA implementation.
High-speed probe made to test single flux quantum(SFQ) circuits was comprised of semi-rigid coaxial cables and microstrip lines. The impedance was set at 50 $\Omega$to carry high-speed signals without much loss. To do performance test of high-speed probe, we have attempted to fabricate a test chip which has a coplanar waveguide(CPW) structure. Electromagnetic simulation was done to optimize the dimension of CPW so that the CPW structure has an impedance of 50$\Omega$, matching in impedance with the probe. We also used the simulation to investigate the effect of the width of signal line and the gap between signal line and ground plane to the characteristics of CPW structure. We fabricated the CPW structure with a gold film deposited on Si wafer whose resistivity was above $1.5\times$10$_4$$\Omega$.cm. The magnitudes of S/sub 21/ of CPW at 6 ㎓ in simulations and in the actual measurements done with a network analyzer were: -0.1 ㏈ and -0.33 ㏈ (type A),-0.2 ㏈ and -0.48 ㏈ (type B), respectively. Using the test chip, we have successfully tested the performance of high-speed probe made for SFQ circuits. The probe showed the good performance overthe bandwidth of 10 ㎓.

Quantum-Dot Cellular Automata is a next-generation nanocircular design technology that is drawing attention from many research organizations not only because it is possible to design efficient circuits by overcoming the physical size limitations of existing CMOS circuits, but also because of its energy-efficient features. In this paper, one of the existing digital circuits, T flip-flop circuit, is proposed using QCA. The previously proposed T flip-flops are designed based on the majority gate, so the circuits are complex and have long delays. Therefore, the design of the XOR gate-based T flip-flop using cell interaction reduces circuit complexity and minimizes latency. The proposed circuit is simulated using QCADesigner, and the performance is compared and analyzed with the existing proposed circuits.
High speed probe for measurement of sin91e flux quantum circuits is comprised of coaxial cables and microstrip lines in order to carry high speed signals without loss. For the impedance matching between coaxial cable and microstrip line, we have determined the dimension of the microstrip line with 50${\Omega}$ impedance by simulation and then have investigated the effect of line width and cross-sectional shape of signal line, dielectric material, thickness of soldering lead at the coaxial-to-microstrip transition Point, and the an91c between dielectric material and end part of the signal line on the characteristics of signal transmission of the microstrip line. From the simulation, we have found that these all parameter's had influenced on the characteristic of signal transmission on the microstrip line and should be reflected in fabricating high speed probe, We have also determined the dimension of coplanar waveguide to fabricate testing sample for performance test of high speed probe.
