The Perception Types of the Directors on PCC Financial Management and its Improvements (민간보육시설 재정관리에 관한 시설장들의 인식유형과 개선방안)

  • This study is to grasp its characteristics by typing a subjective perception of directors on a private childcare center(PCC)' financial management. This study is used the selected 25 statements and 27 directors performed the Q sort. As this result, the three types were derived. Financial Independence Type perceived that a finance accounting rules for PCC has to revised, and it is in need of guarantee of PCC' independency. Public Childcare Type is a type that a government support on PCC is aided as much as support of a National/Public childcare center. Project Support Type is the type that a rule enactment and support is correspond to a scale and characteristics of PCC. Based on the result of research, I presented a implications and suggestions on a childcare policy.

Perception toward Happiness and Department Satisfaction in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 행복 인식과 학과만족도)

  • This study was conducted to classify the factors influencing nursing students' subjectivity toward happiness and to identify differences in department satisfaction according to happiness factors. Q-methodology, which is effective at studying human subjectivity, was employed. Sixty-four students were asked to sort the 34 Q-statements along a 9-point scale ranging from most disagree (-4) to most agree (+4). The Q-sorts were analyzed using pc-QUNAL program, which subjects the data to principle component factor analysis, followed by varimax rotation. Moreover, the data were collected using a questionnaire that consisted of 27 questions pertaining to department satisfaction and analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. The result was classified into four factors that explained 58.0% of the total variance. Factor 1 was a progressive self-realization type, factor 2 an isolated flow type, factor 3 an optimistic friendly type, and factor 4 a self-centered relationship seeking type. Moreover, there was a significant difference in department satisfaction according to happiness factors (F=4.53, p=.006). To enhance department satisfaction and nursing professionalism, education and counseling in consideration of these types are needed.

A Q-study on Librarians' Role Orientations (도서관 사서의 역할지향(Role Orientation)에 관한 Q 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the role orientation that librarians are expected to carry during their career-life. More specifically, this study examined the pattern of librarians subjectivism related to attitude, belief, and confidence. Q questions were made of 36 items, including personal value system and role attitude. P sample included 23 librarians. Data were collected for 8 days (from April 15, 2005 to April 22, 2005). Analyses showed the following results. First, librarians role orientations were classified into 3 types: user-centered orientation, organization-centered orientation, and expertise-centered orientation. (1) The first type librarians were interested in having good relationships with users, while emphasizing the importance of providing good services to the users. (2) The second type of librarians were concerned with social function of the library, while placing highlight on their roles as organizational members. Among them, achievement evaluation was regarded as an important indicator of personal success. They were interested in having stable organizational culture, as well as economic growth of libraries. This orientation was dominant among married members. (3) The third type of librarians focused on librarians role implementation and professional achievement. They showed interest not only in the improvement of librarians creativity and the growth of expertises, but also the expansion of retraining opportunities. This orientation was conspicuous among female librarians. Second, several commonalities and differences were consistently found among librarians. The first type was interested in user-centered orientation(user contact, need satisfaction, self dignity, etc.). The second type was interested in organization-centered orientation(creativity, expertise growth, retraining opportunity, professional achievement. self-respect, etc.).

The role type analysis of nursing leader for effective environment at the practice field that nursing students recognize - Q methodology - (간호 대학생이 인식하는 실무현장의 효과적 환경을 위한 간호리더자의 역할유형분석)

  • Nursing students do a variety of learning at the practice field during clinical practice. They can recognize the importance and effectiveness of nursing leader. The purpose of this study was to categorize the types by analyzing what are important aspects of nursing leader's role to make effective practice environment nursing students experienced from training course. This research was used Q methodology to understand how nursing students recognize deeply. Participants were involved 30 nursing students who have experienced nursing practices. Q samples included 36 statements gathered from interviews with students who experienced clinical practices and literatures regarding types of nursing leader's role. Furthermore, major factors were analyzed and categorized by using QUANL PC program. As a result of research, there are 4 types of nursing leader's role. The first type is "Maintaining justice and level-headed", the second type is "Creating environment for motivation", the third is "Respecting character and growing capacity up" and the fourth is "Relationship center through confidence". Through the research process, this study is about to make evidences by understanding role of nursing leader for effective environment of practice field.

A Study on the Recognition of the Traditional Market Food (대학생들의 전통시장 먹거리 인식에 대한 주관성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the Q - method, which is one of the qualitative analysis methods to approach deep and intrinsic meaning about the perception of college students about food in traditional market. Recently, local governments have been developing diverse tourism products aimed at young people in order to revitalize traditional markets. In this study, we classify the perception of food in traditional market by university students, And to suggest strategic implications by using it as basic data for establishing marketing strategy so that young people can visit in the futures. In order to analyze the perception of college students' subjective perception of traditional market food, Factor analysis was used to conduct an exploratory study. To do this, a Q-sort, Program, and Q factor analysis. The results were classified into three types. The first type (N = 21): Memories seeking type, the second type (N = 6): Local culture resource seeking type, the third type(N = 5). Each of these subjective perceptions can be used as a basis for future research. Through the establishment of marketing strategies for each of the three types of classifications, the direction of traditional markets is presented, and a variety of food items that are valuable as local tourism resources are accommodated by accepting university students' to contribute to the revitalization of traditional markets.

What We Want for Virtual Humans: Classification of Consumer Expectation Value on Virtual Influencer by Age Based on Q-methodology (가상 인간에 대한 우리들이 원하는 모습: Q방법론을 기반으로 한 연령대에 따른 소비자 기대 가치 분류)

  • This study focuses on consumers' perceptions of virtual influencers, which many companies recently used for marketing. This study uses the Q methodology to derive what kind of perception consumers have about virtual influencers who work with various appearances, background stories, and worldviews as components. In addition, we want to see how the expected value of virtual influencers differs by age group. To this end, 34 statements were produced through preliminary interviews and literature reviews. This study showed that some consumers preferred appearances similar to humans, despite recognizing that virtual influencers are fictional characters. Some other consumers preferred to feel like a fictional character by maintaining virtuality, confirming that there are both opposite consumers. In addition, consumers expect virtual influencers to have consistency and expertise in the content field covered, and some consumers do not prefer to show an overly commercial appearance. This study will likely provide implications for companies that want to utilize virtual influencers in considering which ones to use for target customers in marketing activities.

Subjectivity on Abortion of Paramedic Student (인공유산에 대한 응급구조학과 학생의 주관성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to build a bioethical foundation for Paramedic students by identifying and explaining the subjective types and structures of the students' perception on abortion using Q-methodology. Forty statements as a Q sample are selected from the literature and in-depth interview, and P-sample consists of twenty nine junior Paramedic students. The collected data is analyzed by using a QUANL program. The analysis identified three types of the paramedic students' perception on abortion: The fetus-oriented decision type, The mother-oriented active decision type(n=15), The Type(n=9),and mother-oriented passive decision type(n=5). The three factors all had eigenvalues greater than 1.0 and explained 61.3% of the variance in responses. Based on the result of this research, type 1 focuses on the importance of life, whereas other types seem to demonstrate a self-centered mindse that puts more importance on self than the fetus. Therefore, bioethics courses, especially ones that deal with abortion, are crucial to those paramedic students who handle the lives of others.

Types of Tenants Participation in Public Housing Maintenance Analysed by Q Method (자치 역량 수준별 임차인 주민조직 참여에 관한 주관성 유형 연구)

  • The public housing needs maintenance administration for improvement and retainment of residential condition by means of tenants participation. However, most researchers have considered tenants as passive participants in this context. The previous studies did not comprehend perspective of tenants participation and just measured the management preference and the level of satisfaction on maintenance. This study investigates the attitudes and perceptions of tenants on participation in public housing maintenance by introduced Q method that provides a systematic and rigorous quantitative means for examining human subjectivity. The subjectivity is classified as types according to cost and benefit factors by principal components analysis and varimax rotation of the extracted factors. As a result, this study present 5 types of tenants participation and expect to discuss desirable roles of tenant and org anization in public housing maintenance.

A Research on Paramedic Student Type of Perception for 119 Rescue Workers

  • This research studies the perception types of 119 rescue workers among emergency rescue department students, and was carried out to identify the types of perception of 119 rescue workers among firefighters and to prepare basic data to find out the characteristics of each type. As a result of analysis on the Q sample consisting of 27 statements by executing the Q UANL program on a total of 54 students from the Emergency rescue department, it is confirmed that there were 3 types, which accounted for 45% of the total variable. When looking at the explanatory power per type, it turned out: 32% for Type I; 6.7% for Type II; and 5.8% for Type III. Each type was named as follows: our Superman for Type I ; suffering hero for Type II ; and rescue expert for Type III. Overall, there were 119 rescue workers as follows : rescue workers in lexical meaning; and 119 rescue workers who were in difficult situations suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and needed to be covered and protected by citizens. In addition, there was a perception of 119 rescue workers who were recognized as a specialist and carry out his/her lifesaving duties without a single mistake. Therefore, in order for 119 rescue workers to be recognized as a specialized field of rescue, a program in which 119 rescue workers can share various training and experiences must be provided and researched.

The Subjective Perception on the Job Contents of Educare Teachers (보육교사의 직무에 대한 인식 유형)

  • The purpose of this study is analyzing newly the role of the educare teachers by finding the teachers' subjective perception on their duty and understanding its feature. With the research, I'd like to present the fundamental materials for re-training and education for specialty. I Q-sorted 17 teachers based on the 36 statements which had been selected carefully. The results are following. The first type is the teacher who is aiming the specialized education. The teacher of this type needs to have the comprehensible knowledge on the child-development and seeks the teacher's specialty with self-supervision and study group. The second type is the teacher who is pursuing safety and protection for the children. The teacher of this type considers safety and cleanness very important and thinks that he or she should take care of the children by the cooperation with parents. The third type is the teacher who is heading for everyday's life and improvement. He or she thinks that teaching the child daily life is significant and by it, the child should grow up. The results of the research show us 3 points. The first, we need to re-design training program for the educare teachers. The second, we should prepare the manual for the teachers in accordance with the infants' growing-up. The third, we should understand the teacher's type and train him or her in accordance with the type.
